Although some parents might not have been perfect, they still should be given respect simply because they were responsible for bringing a person into this world. As a child grows up, he/she will realize that parents have feet of clay. While the front might seem to be a strong wall or foundation, reality dictates that parents have their weaknesses, which are sometimes blatantly exposed or are hidden to protect both parent and child.

When a parent falters, the child could either resent or understand the parent. In the case of Pretty Starlet (PS), she seemed to resent the fact that her family name comes from a father who seems to have neglected his responsibility. Prior to PS being born, Her Father (HF) was slowly making a name for himself in two diverse fields.

As the last name is synonymous to a distinct family, HF was also dabbling in addressing issues of his community. When HF married The Mother (TM) of PS, they were an interesting high profile couple, as both were part of the elite of the society. TM was still enjoying the perks of her career, but opted to focus her attention to HF and their children. Alas, after the union brought PS into this world, the marriage slowly crumbled.

Apparently, HF and TM could not get along and thus, their union failed. However, grapevine stories have it that one of the major reasons for their failed married is that HF allegedly could not shake off his dangerous habit. Rather than stay in a marriage that has made her miserable, TM left the marriage and pursued her career. As soon as PS was ready, she entered showbiz.

No one has dared to ask PS on her relationship with HF, as people assumed that both TM and HF had moved on. However, an incident at a high-end mall gave a hint on the relationship of PS and HF. If it was by chance or was set as an appointment, PS was seen engaged in a heated discussion with HF. Allegedly, PS seems to be hiding from HF and does not want to have anything to do with him. People who saw the incident could not believe that PS was capable of disrespecting HF, who, despite all his shortcomings, is still, without doubt her father. He does deserve respect or politeness no matter what he has done.
