An Emmy-winning talk show host has been fired by Spanish-language TV station Univision after he compared the First Lady to a character from Planet Of The Apes on live television.

Rodner Figueroa, who's known for his biting fashion commentary, made the racially insensitive remark on the entertainment news show El Gordo Y La Flaca on Wednesday.

Venezuelan-born Figueroa made the remark in a segment discussing the work of make-up artist Paolo Ballesteros who posts photos of himself transformed into female celebrities.

Figueroa, 42, was talking about how Ballesteros had transformed himself into the First Lady when said: 'Well, watch out, you know that Michelle Obama looks like she's from the cast of Planet Of The Apes, the movie.'

When hostess Lili Estefan countered with 'What are you saying?' and host Raul de Molina said Obama was very attractive, Figueroa defended his remark, saying 'but it is true.'

The show aired live on the East Coast, but his remarks were edited out of the version broadcast for the West Coast, reports Latino Voices.

What a Lovely and 'Sensational' Day!

Everyone in the industry knows that taping requirement of any television series is no joke. The long hours can take its toll on one’s health, which is why sleep is a luxury for members of the cast, taking every opportunity they can get to relax and close their eyes no matter how briefly.

Taping for the hit Television Series TS gets double time as it nears its conclusion, some of the cast take as much rest as they can during breaks to compensate for lack of sleep. Needless to say, the stars retreat to their respective tents during lull from their shoot.

After a long break, some production staff were looking for young Hot Star HS to prepare him for his scenes which would be the ones to be shot next. They searched for him in his tent but he was nowhere such that his co-star, Wholesome Actress WA volunteered to help look for him.

WA went to some tents and other places she thought she could find HS, but she never found him. Finally, a check into the last tent revealed HS, who was sitting with his back turned. WA called him but he seemed not to hear. It appeared that HS was busy with something as his head was bowed.

WA got nearer to her subject, then lo and behold, was she shocked with what she saw?! HS was holding his ipad, looking at the photo of a Pretty co-Star PS while his other hand was busy “doing” something else! The very horrified WA hurriedly ran to leave when she met two Female co-Stars FS by the door.

FS wondered what happened to WA who looked very scared. Only when they got inside the tent was their question answered. They saw HS quickly stood up, fixed himself and buttoned his pants as fast as he could. Hahaha! There goes manhood at its funniest!
