No Love Lost

Long talked about for being egocentric, Handsome Actor A is at it again - as what the gay community would say, “ Nagmaldita na naman si HA!” Hahaha! Get the drift?
It was not too long ago when HA was the ultimate “crush ng bayan,” a label he held for quite sometime. It was a fast rise to stardom at the start of his career, allegedly because he was paired with the country’s Sensational Star SS back then. SS’s popularity rubbing off on HA was a big plus for him, yet the self-centered HA disagreed, hinting that it was his own merit that brought him to stardom.
The public can be mean and ruthless to upstarts especially if the latter’s image leaves much to be desired. Reportedly, HA exhibits an attitude that makes him a favorite target to bash by netizens in social media - from showbiz followers to haters to bashers – HA has them all.
In spite of his almost effortless climb to fame, HA has not shown any warmth to his fans who have catapulted him to stardom. Countless encounters with fans had HA being pointed to as mean and cold towards them, never showing kindness and gratitude at all.
At the premiere night of his recent movie, an Excited Fan EF approached HA and asked if she could take his photo holding her fan sign. HA didn’t like what was written on the fan sign. He begged off since he said he was rushing already but promised EF that he would surely return right after the movie’s screening was finished.
EF waited patiently and literally stalked HA to make sure he would be back for her request. But when HA saw her, he refused, saying that he was already too tired for it. EF was so devastated. Her friends comforted and sympathized with her but not without telling EF to quit supporting the heartless HA already because she was just too good for him. Allegedly, they were silently wishing that HA’s movie would flop.
Oh well, they can never be more right.

Her Cold Attitude

High Profile Endorser (HP) might find herself in an awkward situation when she realizes what she has done. HP was spotted doing her Christmas shopping in a high-end department store (DS) in one of the prime cities of the metro. Having established its reputation through the decades, DS is known to cater to the upper class sector of the society, and because of the branch locations, its structures are not as congested as other stores.
For those who can afford it, like HP, DS would be the perfect place for shopping away from the masses. While she thought that no one would mind her in DS, a group of kids approached HP and asked for a photo. The kids were apparently starstruck at seeing HP in the store, and so they went to her. Pretending that she did not hear the request, HP looked away and walked. The kids were obviously dumbfounded as their idol snubbed them. HP was even overheard to have said, “I’m busy.”
Disappointed, the kids could not do anything, nor could their companions. Despite her endorsements and popular appeal, HP just showed her true colors and broke the hearts of the kids. Having stayed long in the business, HP already knows that her status comes with the popularity and the inevitable requests for photos in public. It’s just too bad that these kids are not exposed to media like their elders, as that could have made HP give in to their request.
Generally, any celebrity, being public properties, should at least give in to such requests from fans regardless of their status. After all, these fans might be well connected and even be able to help these celebrities. Had HP given a few seconds to pose with the kids, she would have earned goodwill points for being accommodating and nice, but she chose to dismiss the kids, and of course, the kids now have a negative experience with HP.
So, who are the kids, anyway? Well, the kids just happened to be the heirs of the most powerful political family of a city where the main branch of DS is located.
