When Sweet Roses Paint Betrayal

Not
so young hunk actor HA started in the entertainment business for many
years now, beginning as just one of those sex symbols undressing his
sexy leading ladies on screen while baring those wavy muscles before the
admiring public. Through the years he has shown admirable talent apart
from just being physically endowed.
His
huge fans and followers alike swooned over him especially during the
height of his popularity. He was fortunate enough to be handled by the
most competent and brilliant of directors who honed his talent and
starred him in projects that slowly showcased his marvelous
transformation as a serious actor.
Being young, sexy and in-demand, HA was of course desired and fantasized by girls and gays alike. And HA seems to be cool and accepting of just about anything never allowing anything to limit him – including gay propositions. One of his early benefactors was a well-known businessman BM. HA and BM who were together for many years were mutually in love with each other with the generous BM spoiling HA with everything HA fancied.

some good things never last, as the cliché goes – and off they parted
ways amicably. The adventurer HA went hopping from one relationship to
another whoever gets his fancy. Inspite that HA’s not that young
anymore, he remains to be irresistible. HA willingly obliged to be the
latest conquest of a controversial scion of showbiz royalty:
Jane-came-lately JC, who also happens to be one of BM’s “amigas,” -
something that didn’t sit well with BM.
Although
feeling hurt and betrayed by JC, BM couldn’t care less anymore even and
especially so that the wandering HA has hopped once more to a new
benefactor – a quiet and unassuming director DR, another offspring from a
conservative showbiz family.

Jodi Sta Maria's New Love
As if taking a cue from her daytime kilig-serye “Be Careful with My Heart” character, Maya, who aspires to be a flight stewardess, Jodi Sta. Maria has just recently discovered her new love: Traveling. “As much as possible, kung kaya, gusto ko sana every 2 months nakakalabas ng country, or if not naman out of the country, sa loob ng bansa,” Jodi shares. She finds it more worthwhile to spend on travel than to shop for designer shoes and bags. She takes her son, Thirdy, along with her travels, too, so he will grow up culturally educated. “Traveling is a wonderful experience to know and learn more about other countries' culture,” she says.
For her travel essentials, she admits “'Di pwedeng 'di ko bitbit ang Gluta-C products because I use the lotion everyday. Pati ung soap and toner. Kahit tingnan 'nyo pa yung travel bag ko!” Her personal favorite is the Gluta-C Intense Whitening Lotion with SPF 25 because it feels light, provides sun protection and is easily absorbed by the skin.
Jodi has been the beautiful face and body of the whitening skincare line, Gluta-C, for years now. In her recent endorsement shoot for the brand, she excitedly raved about Gluta-C's latest products – the Gluta-C Underarm and Bikini Gel and Gluta-C Body Scrub, “I really use them. And I don't endorse products na 'di ko naman ginagamit.” No wonder, celebrity make-up artist Juan Sarte found it so easy to enhance Jodi's effortlessly-radiant look. It was a breeze, too, for sought-after hairstylist Brent Sales and celebrity photographer Raymund Isaac to bring to life the concepts.
There is no doubt that Jodi Sta Maria will reach new places and heights with the rate her career is soaring. It feels like a lifetime ago since Jodi first graced our TV screens during her Tabing Ilog days but it's as if she has not changed a bit – still looking so young and radiant. And the secret to this? Jodi shares, “Looking young is something that comes from within. So, if you have peace and you're happy, it will radiate.”

Bad Attitude

The new young actor (NY) has one of the most amiable faces among the latest talents of this big network. NY, a very positive individual, is an ideal person having prioritized education first over a career in showbusiness. However, unknown to most, behind his amiable face is a crass personality.
NY
treats his assistants AS as though they are his “slaves.” His requests
sound like orders, which make his AS feel as though they are very
incompetent and stupid. For example, when one of his AS made a mistake
in getting the black shoes NY wanted, he reprimanded the AS along with
curse words. NY almost threw the wrong pair of shoes at the AS. The AS
could not reason out that NY has several black shoes and did not specify
the brand he wanted.
In
another incident, NY was looking for his hair wax. He insisted that the
wax was placed in one of his bags somewhere. When the AS said he could
not find the wax, NY nonchalantly insisted that it was there and that AS
did not look hard enough. He even added that AS should look with his
eyes and not with his mouth. After fruitless searching, AS thought of
opening NY's bag beside him - and voila, the wax was there all along!
Instead of apologizing, NY accused AS of placing the wax in the bag to
embarrass him.
AS soon realized
he could not take NY's bad treatment anymore and left. AS was very
disgusted as NY have become a monster towards the little people in the
industry.
To
make matters worse, NY allegedly does not bother with the basic needs
of his assistants, such as food for instance. At one point, when NY was
fasting out of his religious obligations, he did not bother to feed his
assistants and told them that since he was fasting, they should then
fast as well.
Perhaps
NY's management should step in and teach him to treat his support staff
humanly. After all, the success of any actor also hinges on the quality
of people who work for him. NY should take the cue from his relative,
who, despite his huge status in the industry, is known to be very
decent, supportive, and respectful of people, especially to his very own
staff.
