So Much Love

One time, while Blessed Performer (BP) was in the midst of a family gathering, she suddenly burst into tears, as the circumstances were overwhelming. BP could not contain the emotion, as she realized she was feeling genuine happiness, which was new for her.

When BP was starting out her career, the guiding principle was to strike while the iron is hot. Thus, from the management to her immediate family, BP was booked for engagements. Her events were so many, she had lost count of weekends. Christmas, New Year, and other holidays were work days for BP. She never had a chance to enjoy the mall, as it was her workplace and even out of town trips were still about work. Family gatherings were minimal as her family members were busy minding businesses made possible by BP’s hard work. Only helpers were around to attend to any needs BP might have if she’s between jobs.

BP’s life was not unique, as many other celebrities had undergone the same fate. With only talent at hand, the goal was always to alleviate the family’s standard of living. From a humble rented apartment, talent can lead to many mansions. BP did just that for her family and she continued to work with no end in sight.

Finally, age and realization caught up with BP and she decided to leave her old life. This time, BP was with a family who celebrated birthdays, family events, holidays, etc. as a unit and even the extended families would come over. The gatherings were all fun and everyone was happy. BP was just there to enjoy the company. She did not have to work or perform. After many years, BP was feeling something she had not felt most of her life, and that was the real, sincere love her present family was showing her. BP could not understand how her family could hate the people she’s with right now, who are showing her unconditional love and the essence of a family.

Life will always have ups and downs. This time, Evolving Actress (EA) is going through moments that can break anyone softer. EA is experiencing the effects of a changed life, made worse by the pandemic.

Sometime ago, EA decided to pursue her dream and that meant living away from people she loves, including her family. She had to leave for the sake of her future and local showbiz had limited opportunities. Like a typical migrant, EA had to take on odd jobs while waiting for the break. EA patiently looked for her destiny.

However, fate was not kind. In a competitive industry, EA had to do more to get noticed. EA tried, but finances started catching up on her. Although she still had a roof over her head, living abroad can be expensive, especially when she could not rely on her family for support. She allegedly had to approach and introduce herself to ask for money. Lucky for her, she still has kind hearts to depend on and for some people, EA has resorted to begging.

Nonetheless, other than wait for acting gigs, EA has allegedly delved into escorting clients, who prefer older people, like her. However, her competitors are more aggressive, as they are younger than EA.

With the pandemic, EA could not seek her clients, as social distancing is implemented in her residence. Shootings, tapings, and other production activities were halted as well. Sadly, even friends who have been helping EA out could no longer fully help, as they do not have work as well. Despite the hardship, EA remains optimistic that she will receive some form of assistance later on. For now, EA has to face the difficult time with hardly any means to live comfortably and away from her family, who has been quiet even since she moved away.

Prior to the lockdown, an interesting incident happened between an ordinary couple and Media Personality (MP). One typical Sunday, the couple was at the parking area of a mall and about to park in the PWD slot when another car started jockeying for the same space. The markings were clear that the said slot was for PWDs and one of the persons in the couple’s car was a PWD.

Suddenly, MP’s car started honking and after a few seconds, the driver stepped out and introduced herself. The couple said that the parking slot was a right of the PWD passenger. However, MP was adamant and insisted that she should be the one to park, as she was in a hurry to interview an Important Someone (IS) for her show. Even if the PWD passenger said that the designated slot was needed for a wheelchair, MP continued to argue. To keep things cool, the couple relented and gave the slot to MP.

After almost an hour, the couple found a parking slot and went around the mall. The incident with MP was forgotten until they chanced upon her in one of the restaurants. At the corner, away from the view of most diners, MP was having a conversation with IS. Then, the couple realized that MP had no crew or a camera person to record her alleged interview with IS. The couple noticed that MP was in mini-skirt and high heels, and was fully made up.

Out of curiosity, the couple looked at IS and they were surprised to see that he was among the most sought after unattached public servant. By contrast, MP is in a committed relationship, which is not a secret in her circle. The meeting looked more like a date instead of the interview that MP used as a bargaining chip to get the PWD couple’s parking slot. When MP and IS were stepping out of the restaurant, her eyes met the couple’s gaze. However, she immediately changed the direction of her sight and pretended she did not see the couple. Quickly, she and IS made their way out of the area.
