If there’s a will, there’s a way. When the network set its eyes on a Particular Personality (PP) to be part of a flagship show, the Team’s Heads (TH) no longer looked at the cost digits. As long as they get PP to sign on the dotted line, they have a sense of accomplishment.
Even if rumors surround the working habits of PP, she is still among the most sought-after celebrities for any network. Be it a teleserye or a movie, PP would always be in the minds of productions teams as a possible cast member. Whatever role PP plays, she leaves a mark that is hard to duplicate by any other young or seasoned actress these days.
When TH learned that PP was offered to do a series with the rival network, they knew they had to convince PP to drop that project and sign up with theirs. TH wants elegance and class to be a factor in their project and PP was the perfect person to bring that element. True enough, PP was bringing fresh insights and glamour to a possible dragging show.
Prior to the acceptance of PP of her eventual role, she allegedly demanded a sky-rocket talent fee, which included a budget for her designer wardrobe and glam team. Her end was a ‘take it or leave it’ stand. To the shock of PP and even the network personnel, the management did not flinch and gave in to the requests of PP. TH wanted credibility and PP was key.
Getting PP into the project also has another underlying objective for the network. With its resources, the production wants a huge share of the ratings, which will mean revenue via product placement, and most importantly, they want to give the competing show a run for its money. After all, payback time is just around the corner, as someone in the competing show needs a lesson on loyalty.
