Not a Chance

The moment Beautiful Personality (BP) was renewing her ties with her former colleagues, speculations rose on whether she would reunite with everyone with whom she has shared part of her life. Although much time has passed, BP would always be linked with Competent Celebrity (CC). CC and BP were an item, and everyone in his family thought they would end up together, and rumors of overwhelming gifts for CC were abuzz the moment he decides to settle down with BP. Their fans loved their partnership on and off screen. Their projects made their producers happy. However, things did not turn out as pined for by the audience.

As soon as their relationship ended, BP and CC went separate ways. For BP, she moved on and married a more famous celebrity, but their marriage ended in a mess. Meanwhile, CC shocked the local industry when he revealed that he was tying the knot with a Lovely Woman (LW). As a showbiz scion herself, LW was not a stranger to the entertainment industry. LW was familiar with the ins and outs of the industry even though she once set her target to complete her challenging major. Her showbiz blood stood out, and thus, she shifted her career.

When BP finally made the rounds of her former station, everyone was looking for CC. After all, BP never said anything about what really happened that caused the end of their relationship. CC, who is known to be a woman magnet during her youth, never said anything as well. Their possible encounter was awaited, but such meeting never happened.

Fans wondered if the out of the country trip of CC was really scheduled during the time BP was in town. The coincidence that CC would be far seemed to indicate something else. Naturally, had CC been in the city, he might be pressured into seeing BP for old time’s sake. However, LW allegedly made sure none of those encounters would ever happen. Even if LW should have been around during the time BP was visiting, CC and LW opted to fly out. This situation made many of their fans sad, as it seemed that they preferred to just be away from everything. The feeling of disappointment was felt by fans of BP and CC as well, as they had hoped to see BP and CC together.

Meanwhile, kibitzers chided LW, as someone who seems to be still insecure of her husband’s former lover. The years have been kind to LW, and she looks almost the same as the day CC fell in love with her. Of course, BP’s looks are timeless, too. Age was defied, it seems. The question of when BP and CC will be seen together might have a positive answer. After all, BP vowed to come back, and CC has already started his slow comeback into the entertainment scene. Then again, if no reunion would happen, fans would assume LW had her way, and thus, brand her as insecure at BP.

For many years now, Barbie remained to be the leading girl brand in the toy industry and has always been a little girl’s best friend. This year, Barbie came up with a global campaign, Dads Who Play Barbie that aims to bridge the gap between both genders. It allows people, especially mothers to see how much a girl’s relationship with her father can affect her positively. Being a strong girl brand, moms had the usual mindset of boxing in the concept that Barbie is only for girls. In fact, 1studies have shown that girls with strong relationships with their fathers are more likely to have emotionally stable relationships and have higher self-esteem and self-image. Barbie’s Dad Campaign is an online video structured to know the perspective of dads when it comes to playing with their daughter and how they see it as a great opportunity to uphold their creativity and imaginative play. In the said video, 3 dads were interviewed on how they think instilling a little Barbie time and playing with their daughters help them build not just a closer relationship with them but also enhances their ability to dream bigger. The video showcased how the dads play with their kids, from roleplaying with Barbie as doctor to even a Yoga instructor and the impact it can give to both the dad and the daughter.

With high hopes along this campaign, Barbie encourages moms to highly consider playtime of their little girls with their dads and the positive impact and connection it brings to both of them. The video has already went viral on Social Media Platforms such as YouTube and Facebook in less than a month since it was launched at the beginning of this year. Through this campaign, Barbie aspires to strengthen and convey to parents that time spent in her imaginary world is an investment in her real world. Because with Barbie, you can be anything.
