Alleged Mistress Lesson #1

A favorite topic to pass the time away is the life and times of a mistress. Regardless of social class, profession, religion, race, etc., the second woman always makes the top choice for gossip. The topics range from surprises that a woman who seems to be conservative turns out to a mistress of a powerful personality to shock that a man would leave his marriage to an influential woman for an 18-year old student. The angles could change as well as names, but still, society condemns and condones the mistress phenomenon.

Having a mistress or mistresses is sometimes a sign of machismo for the man. The man would brag that women gravitate towards him and that he has no right to refuse. Sometimes, the man would be the one to convince the woman to be his second of third. Today, women are wiser and they will not be relegated to second place without any tradeoff. Lucky are the women who would have benefactors who are generous and kind.

There was once a time when Kind Celebrity (KC) thought that fame and fortune were the goals of one’s existence. Thus, when KC realized he could have everything, he allowed the material world to take over his life even if his actions were slowly chiseling the foundation of his family. With money and popularity, KC was introduced to several celebrities, who had their own agenda in establishing his acquaintance. One of these celebrities that made a lasting impression on KC was Wise Woman (WW).

WW has been in showbiz and established her name through vast exposure in movies, TV shows, and in business. When her genre slowly faded, WW reinvented her image to make sure the audience will not forget her. Because WW was attractive, articulate, and witty, KC found her attractive. However, out of respect for KC, their alleged relationship became the subject of blind items and no one dared expose them.

However, that was the past. KC and WW have both moved on and realized what mattered most. Then, one day, KC received a call from WW, who was in a financial bind. The entrepreneurial ventures of WW were failing one after the other and her loans were due. Thus, she asked KC if she could sell the house he allegedly gave her. KC agreed, but there was one problem – the house was still under his name.

Nonetheless, one house is nothing compared to a happy family. Without making a big deal, KC said that he would sign the transfer papers if the transaction would be done confidentially. He did not want his name dragged in another controversy if the press manages to sniff out the transaction. KC had worked hard to keep his family intact and if his name resurfaces and gets connected with WW, that might mean unwanted attention. Quietly, WW prepared the papers and KC signed. WW was able to sell the house and pay off her debts.

Well, in the case of WW, being a mistress paid off literally. Moreover, WW knew how to play her cards right. She kept quiet during and after their alleged affair. She avoided any possible scandal that would drag KC in the picture. KC obviously appreciated that act.
