By All Means, Persistence Might Just Pay Off
The determination to establish a career can become a difficult road for someone who has started with much potential, but faltered along the way. While many hopefuls line up for auditions or use social media to be noticed, others are luckier because they have connections. These connections could be executives in networks, influential politicians, and celebrity parents, among others. Undaunted Talent (UT) refers to the last group.
Despite the odds being in her favor, her initial ventures were not warmly received as expected. The network succumbed to public pressure and changed the project given to UT. By this time, a bit of interest had waned, but the network continued to support UT. Trying the traditional path of giving her a reel partner did not work during the first time.
Unfazed by this setback, UT and her camp persevered. However, a series of events slowly snowballed into her negative image. From this point onwards, moving away from a negative image seemed harder. Still, perseverance prevailed. The network continued seeking for that right young male talent that could have chemistry with her. The search for the reel love interest was pursued because the network has always succeeded in this method. However, the strategy was not working for UT, and her camp had to think of a better way to keep the interest in her. Her lack of big projects means a lack of exposure, and the absence from the screen could further decrease the interest of viewers in her. Giving up her career does not seem to be an option, especially when a benefactor was quite unlucky a few months ago.
Perhaps the right screen partner was still a work in progress.Thus, a Significant Part (SP) of the camp of UT allegedly thought of another gimmick. During the presscon for a product endorsement, a number of attendees noticed that one personality asked the Newbie Endorser (NE) if he found UT interesting. Obviously, the line of questioning was leading to UT, which made some observers assume that SP might have had a hand in such asking. Given all the young female talents, they wondered why UT’s name came up. Naturally, NE answered in the affirmative because he was starting out and he did not want to embarrass his high profile parents nor the product he was promoting.
With the positive answer of NE, a network played up the story. Because NE has always been of interest to the public, his noticing of UT might make her interesting again. As NE has potential to be the next big star, attaching UT to his soon-to-be-found fame might benefit her.
Still, the puzzle as to why UT could not seem to find her star in the business will always be met with responses like the time is not yet right or what goes around comes around. Yet, with persistence in making a name for her, her camp might think of more ways to promote her.

Repost: McDonald’s Philippines Targets 900 Stores

Local franchisee, Golden Arches Development, expects McDonald’s Philippines to reach 500 stores in 2016 and 900 in coming years.
Golden Arches VP for marketing Margot Torres said in an interview: “We are going to hit the 500 stores before the end of the year because we had 494 as of June,.”
He added that plans would depend on the opening of shopping malls in the country.
Due to construction delays, the 500 store count originally set in 2015 was moved to mid-2016.
Torres said Golden Arches, which opens 40 stores every year, has seen strong sales for McDonald’s since the second half of 2015, when celebrities Maine Mendoza and Alden Richard endorsed the brand.
“There is still room for growth in Metro Manila but [there] is also huge potential for expansion outside Metro Manila, particularly in the Visayas and Mindanao,” Torres said.
With convenience stores’ affordable meals posing a threat to the fast-food industry, McDonald’s is boosting its game by focusing on its online delivery.
