Beautiful actress (BA) had it all for many years -- fame, money, tv shows, movies, and the lots of connections. She had a contract with a network that assured her of the exposure and shows that kept everything going for her. Stories of her love life proliferated with the mysterious men of all kinds in her life. Foreigners, prominent politicians, fellow actors -- she had them all. The most colorful of these love interests was talented performer (TP).

When BA and TP came out as a couple, kibitzers immediately dismissed their supposed relationship as a farce. TP was said to be vainer than BA. At the same time, BA was also allegedly involved with a scion of a powerful political family then. Thus, the publicized relationship with TP was just a shield and a form of damage control to save their respective careers.

Now, BA is working doubly hard, often hopping from one channel to another to get much-needed projects. She needed every peso to sustain and maintain the kind of lifestyle she was used to, which is quite unattainable at this point. Undoubtedly, she is no longer as hot and in-demand as she was years back.

A few weeks ago, BA and TP bumped into a show where both of them were guests. Suddenly, BA remembered that she owes TP a few hundred thousand pesos. Before TP could even say anything, BA, in her usual bubbly manner, blurted out tactlessly in front of everyone, “Hey, can I just pay you sometime? Or we can just "make out" in exchange for it, you know?” Those who heard her laughed at her brashness, as they all knew of stories of TP's not-so-secret preferences.

However, there is more to TP than his rumored preference. Unknown to many, TP had lots of "energy" when he and BA were still together, as in they would really make effort to make time for it no matter how busy they were. But that was years ago. Will TP now bite into BA's proposal to do barter? Passionate service in exchange for hard, cold cash? You bet?

“Debt is like any other trap, easy enough to get into, but hard enough to get out of."

Such a Careless Behavior!

Sexy Actress (SA) is at it again. Recently, SA has been spotted with a few handsome celebrities, such as a former boyfriend, and her publicly admitted latest “target.” People who witnessed her behavior after an out-of-town show were shocked.

After the event, SA had her flight rebooked to give way to the invitation of a singer who is native to that town. While having dinner, while SA was having a few drinks, people's attentions were turned to the arriving cute young mestizo guy MG who was introduced to her. It seemed like SA and MG immediately hit if off and she invited him to her hotel right after dinner.

At the hotel, SA requested her aide (who was assumed as her roommate) to stay elsewhere in the meantime while she and MG went up to the room. Unknowingly, some people saw how SA and MG flirted with each other as they moved about.

Right smack in the view of other guests who were relaxing by the poolside was the room of SA. Hence,  SA and MG in playful movements were being feasted on. After a moment, the lights were switched off. Yet the guests were shocked to see the silhouette of the SA and MG kissing and cavorting with each other. Then, the two shadows disappeared from view.

Uh oh. Is SA really living up to her reputation? What will the hunks she was rumoured to be dating say about it? More importantly, if SA is indeed to be overflowing with passion and deliberately doing it so carelessly, is she aware of the possible ill effects it might have on her health?

Perhaps, this quote from Aldous Huxley could tie up her behavior and her treatment of her family, “The impulse to cruelty is, in many people, almost as violent as the impulse to sexual love – almost as violent and much more mischievous.”

Collector Pays P1.3 M for Fake High-end Bags

MANILA, Philippines - A 21-year-old businesswoman, who collects designer bags, has filed charges against an online reseller who sold her two fake Hermes Birkin bags, for which she paid more than P1.3 million.

“It was only when I decided to re-sell them that I found out they were fake,” she told The STAR in an interview yesterday.

The woman agreed to talk on condition of anonymity. She also asked that the online reseller, whom she charged with estafa before the National Bureau of Investigation, not be named. The two parties are set to meet tomorrow at the NBI headquarters.

The complainant said she only wants her money back.

“Everyone we consulted, even the Hermes store here, told us the bags were fake,” the woman said.
She said she found the reseller through Instagram in November 2012 and bought a bubblegum pink Birkin (a rare color, according to her) for P660,000 and an orange Birkin for P690,000.

The two bags were delivered to her in January but she had kept them in their boxes and never checked them until she decided to sell the bags after she gave birth later that month.

When her elder sister took the bags to a prospective buyer, she was told they were fake.

Collectors
The two sisters had been collecting bags over the past five years and have about 100 pieces, most of them by well-known designers.

The elder sister said the deal made by the complainant, which she did not know about, seemed a good one since the two Birkin bags she bought were really rare.

“We could get those from the Hermes store (in Greenbelt) but the waiting time is about two years,” the elder sister said.

The complainant said when she told the reseller that the bags were fake, the reseller referred her to a “Birkin expert.” The reseller “told us she would return my money if that person would say the bags were fake. But when he did say they were not authentic, she still refused to give me a refund,” the woman said.

The expert told her to go the Hermes store in Greenbelt to have the bags checked. “We were told by the store manager that the official authentication from France would come in after about three months since we would have to send the bags there. But the manager said that based on just the paper bags, the boxes and the feel of the leather, the bags were fake,” the complainant said.
