Edward and Jacq have no child and when the latter learned of her husband’s predicament, she gave her permission to Edward to help Grace in her quest to save their son. But there was only one option for their son to be cured: they have to have another child - to be conceived the natural way! Which made us recall the plot of the novel (which was made into a movie) “My Sister’s Keeper.” The couple in the movie had to conceive another daughter to provide the blood, bone marrow and even her kidney in order to save her sister’s life.

Another Side of Her Story

Hi! I used to work in a medium-sized hospital in Manila, Sampaloc area in the 90's. I was assigned to the delivery room/nursery.
A woman Mrs. X gave birth there. Holding her prenatal history form, I interviewed her to fill up the information on the form. On the spouse's occupation entry, Mrs. X claimed the father of her baby was a driver. Her companion volunteered the information that Mrs. X was the mother of a certain star, CS. My co-workers and I were quite surprised. However, we did not take it seriously.
The baby was of average weight and pure Filipino features. Few days after Mrs X and baby were discharged from the hospital, the baby was admitted and confined again due to complications of pneumonia. We were shocked when we saw CS was there in the hospital. She was accompanied by a big foreign looking guy FG. FG approached one of the staff and requested her to change the baby's family name to CS' real and reel family name. When my colleague told me about this, I approached FG personally and told him that the nurse station is not the appropriate venue for this kind of request.
Just saying...because everytime I hear CS talk about how "classy" her mom is, I can't help but remember that hospital incident. No offense meant but the mother at the time did not look in any way near what CS projects her to be.
Thank you, Fashion PULIS for publishing this letter.
Sincerely,
Nurse Genny

Like or Dislike: Janine Tugonon's Answer to Nigel Barker's Question
Nigel Barker: "As an international ambassador, do you believe that speaking English should be a prerequisite to being Miss Universe? Why or why not?"
Janine Tugonon: "For me, being Miss Universe is not just about knowing how to speak a specific language. It's being able to influence and inspire other people. So whatever language you have, as long your heart is to serve and you have a strong mind to show people then you can be Miss Universe."

Her "Alcohol-ic" Moment

Is this breakthrough actress (BA) letting her success get into her head this at early stage of her career? At a young age, BA achieved unexpected fame and success when she was cast in a phenomenal hit series by her network. Although she did not portray the role of the protagonist then, her role and performance made an impact as it provided contrast to that one portrayed by the lead teen actress. After that series, people were surprised when the network paired BA with an award-winning actor. In the beginning, negative comments revolved around their lack of chemistry, and BA's youthfulness to handle such a mature role. However, the extended length of the series and the unexpected high ratings proved her critics wrong. Just before it ended, stories had it that she would soon be starring in a movie with her leading man in the said teleserye.
With such overwhelming success , the cast were in a recent event where the fans got to mingle with the rest of the talents of the network. To the dismay of fans who came over to see them, BA behaved very indifferently towards them. Unlike the other bigger stars who shook hands, mingled and kissed some of the eager fans, BA sulked and was not friendly and only appeared to shake hands out of pressure. To make matters worse, they were offended when they saw that as soon as she shook hands, BA applied alcohol on her hands several times. Although people can argue that she was just being hygienic, the act was definitely uncalled for and in bad taste. BA sent a message that she was insincere and hypocrite, as things like that could have been done more discreetly so as not to offend people, her fans especially.
Has BA suddenly forgotten her humble beginnings? Were it not for luck, maybe she would have also ended as one of those adoring fans finding greatest joy shaking hands with her idol. How time flies indeed.

Cursing Her Way Through
Of course, this incident with BA should no longer be surprising. After all, BA is known to spew hateful words at her target, and her notoriety is all over and has polluted her social networks. The poor man should not at all feel bad as BA is publicly known to disrespect anyone who catches her ire -- her own family included. Hence, what more for a stranger like him? Will BA ever reform her rude ways? It is pitiful that her actions show how much breeding she has. Can someone please remind her that fame and wealth can never cover up her lack of breeding nor will her beauty stay on forever?
