How are you? I am from UK and I work as a care assistant. Just last night my husband and I were watching a program in BBC, a documentary about an elderly being abused in a nursing home, and we were so mortified to know that the caretakers involved are filipinos. I know that we shouldn't be ashamed of our own fellowmen, but what this certain Jonathan Aquino did was so humiliating especially to the Filipinos around the world. I hope u can feature this in your blog as it will serve as eyeopener for people working abroad, to remind us that we are not only carrying our reputation but our country's as well. Thank you.

Actions Speak Louder than Words

When their relationship ended, the singer (S) and the manager (M) kept quiet after a confirmation via a statement from M. M has since moved on and has opted to handle the career of other talents. When asked why they broke up, M merely responded by not revealing any details and saying that they still respect each other. Meanwhile, S has been linked to a winner (W) in a talent contest, where S served as W’s mentor. Incidentally, during the finals night of the talent contest, people noticed how M reacted when W was announced as the winner. M did not bother to clap at all.

During and even after the show, S and W developed a certain closeness, which prompted the spread of the story that W is the reason why S and M parted ways. Both are denying that something more exists between them despite the exchanging of “I love you’s” over Twitter. S has also given expensive gifts to W and the followers got to know about these acts because W openly thanked S via tweets and a senior comedian even teased S about it on national TV.

An interesting observation is that the denial can be fuelled, perhaps, by the fact that W is still a minor and S might be charged with violating a law in case they both come out with a relationship. Moreover, S has produced an album for W and the sales might be jeopardized in case a scandal breaks out.

Sadly, some people have noticed that W has developed a certain arrogance towards fans. Even her family members were not spared from being swellheaded. A close relation of W had allegedly threatened a certain fan who left W’s fan club because of how W and the family were treating her followers. The fan is a mere simple laundry and cleaning woman who became the victim of lies spread by the relation of W. Alas, some netizens have taken it to be their cause to bash W and S by tweeting harassing tweets over revealing the truth, church, guilt, among others. What’s worse with the tweets is that other celebrities are tagged directly with the messages.

The recent development is that both S and W have terminated their twitter accounts after someone tweeted that they were living together. S has also advised W to refrain from going online so she will not have to read anything negative about them.

Last month, the news that Hollywood celebrities will be appearing at this mall and its branches generated much excitement among netizens and fans of one of the actors. Blog sites, especially of those residing in the southern part of the country, anticipated and expressed their excitement over the appearance of the actor who plays a vampire. A full-page article regarding the mall’s achievements was published in a broadsheet and the article mentioned the appearances in the series of the mall’s events.

However, an FB site of the mall where the alleged appearance should take place already issued a clarification regarding the said actor’s appearance. The message cited changes in the schedule of the Philippine tour of the cast.

A reliable source confirmed that the stars were not contracted to make any appearance. According to the source, the US agents even sent a memo to the mall to pull out all banners promoting the arrival of the stars. To allay the fear of negative publicity that can damage the reputation of the mall, the management adhered to the demands of the US agents.

Which chain of malls made the mistake of announcing the arrival and appearance of the Hollywood celebrities without even finalizing the deal? In the first place, did the cast of the said series really have a schedule in the country? The preemptive failed announcement is so unlike the classy and professional image the malls project.

Nowadays, posing in a men’s magazine seems to be the in-thing for the 20-something female celebrities. Sometime last year, this young actress (YA) showed off her tattoos in her photos. The tattoos, according to her, are words to remind her of the significant people in her life. YA has evolved from being the alleged daughter of a showbiz royalty to a serious actress. However, rumors about her hygiene and relationships are persistent.

Another female celebrity who posed for the same men’s magazine is an occasionally controversial model (CM). Sometime ago, CM created a stir with her criticism of the meeting of an international celebrity with the head of the land. Other than having a name in the modelling industry, the claim to fame of CM is her being linked to an actor host (AH) and scion of a political clan (SP). Both AH and SP are controversial in their own right.

Recently, a singer host (SH) got warm reception when she posed in a men’s magazine with her new look. Her photos did not escape comments from all sorts of readers. Some loved the concept and admired her having no qualms posing with her reptile pet. Others, however, noted that SH inherited the big thighs the women in her family are known for. Another group could not understand why SH had to do that spread and said that such an act was contrary to her image. Yet, another group commented that SH was showing her rebellious side.

Now, enter the young heiress (YH) of an actress beauty queen (BQ). In the photo shoot of YH for the same men’s magazine, BQ suddenly appeared on the set and went ballistic. She pushed aside the things in the dressing room and screamed at the magazine staff. BQ said, “You are making my daughter become a wh--e!” Then, she pointed at the staff and further said, “You are a wh--e maker! Lahat ng covers niyo po---k!” BQ did not stop at that. She further said, “YA is a slu-! CM is a wh--e! SH is a mega-wh--e!”

YH had to say something to stop her mother. All she could say was that BQ was worse than a more controversial mother (M). While BQ seems to portray YH as a saint compared to YA, CM, and SH, does she know about the rumor of YH having hooked up with AH?

Since BQ and YH are also taping for a TVC, YH had to request for a separate dressing room.

Even if she wore funny glasses, this beauty queen (BQ) did not escape the attention of onlookers at the after party of a recent concert. Her dancing with one of the members of the dance crew of the foreign group showed provocative movements and attracted attention. Was her all-out dancing a sign that she has moved on since her recent break-up? Did BQ dance with much passion to call attention to herself? After all, her dancing partner happened to be a member of a foreign act and it is common knowledge that BQ needs some boost to revitalize her career both here and abroad.

Facebook Infidelity: Cheating Wife Goes Online

One of the hottest stories in the wedding industry is how a top-notch wedding vendor (WV) caught the infidelity of his wife via Facebook. When his wife recently left for an overseas trip, WV accidentally discovered several messages coming from a former Balikbayan client (BC) in the inbox of his wife’s account. WV got the shock of his life as he discovered the messages spoke of love and other vulgar subjects. In short, the wife and the BC were having an affair.

WV felt betrayed as he considered BC a friend. WV even worked for the successful staging of BC’s wedding in Manila. When WV’s wife stayed in the US for a few months more than two years ago, WV told BC to watch over her. Unfortunately, BC took it to heart and something happened between him and the wife of WV as early as then.

After his discovery of the vulgar messages, WV immediately called and confronted his wife about the affair who was in the US for a "convention" at that time. Right at that moment, WV ended his marriage. He was shocked when his wife told him for her, their marriage has long been over!

Later, WV was in contact with some common friends he had with BC and he got a most unexpected response when he relayed his problem. One of his friends said, “Pare, that story was so two years ago.”

On the other hand, BC’s marriage ended because the woman he married found him too lazy. WV is still working and his services are still very much in demand in the industry.
