The Singer's Liability

The young singer actress (YSA) is in line for more projects after the exodus of artists in her network. In fact, the network has already entrusted her with a series.

During one taping day, the production team provided two rooms in the location. One room was for the actual set, while the other was the holding room for all the actors. After her scenes, YSA went to the holding room. Her aunt started to mumble that the holding room was only for YSA because she was the lead in the series. The aunt ordered the nanny to remove the things of the other artists in that room. One of owners of the things being moved by the nanny happened to be a no-pushover senior actress (SA) confronted the aunt. Trying to find a good excuse, the aunt said she was just asking the nanny to put order to the things.

The other performers complained about this behavior to the production people and to the executive producer (EP). The EP had to make up stories that YSA was feeling sick at that time. After the incident, YSA and her aunt did not even apologize for the behavior.

In another incident, YSA and her mom were at the home studio. The mom ordered the janitor to bring her coffee. The janitor took time in bringing the coffee. The mom reprimanded the janitor and told him, “Di mo ba ako kilala? Ako ang nanay ng bida!” (Do you not know me? I am the mother of the lead!)

The career of YSA might not leap that far as the ladies in waiting are behaving worse than the princess. People hope that YSA does not imbibe the lack of breeding of the immediate people around her.

Who's the Father?

A sexy actress turned drama personality (SA) was out of the showbiz scene for a time and the public thought she was no longer in demand or she was doing shows abroad. There was even a rumor that SA finally settled down with the character actor who was involved in an on and off relationship with her. Last year, SA resurrected her career via a teleserye. Recently, in a press conference, she finally admitted that she gave birth when she was not in the limelight.

A few days after that revelation, SA was spotted in a food court carrying a baby. Together with SA were a nanny and two foreign guests. The people in the area could not help but stare because SA was in a public place and she was proudly carrying the child. SA did not mind being seen at all while eating in a public place.

Now, the question is who fathered her child. In the said presscon, she refused to identify who got her pregnant. Speculations range from the character actor to a powerful politician. Was SA afraid to admit the politician is the father, as that admission would put her and the child's life in danger?

Guile Requirements

The weekly magazine wanted to feature matinee actor (MA) on its cover. MA demanded his team be hired for the project. He wanted his own photographer and refused to have the photographer of the magazine take his photos. He wanted his own stylist and makeup artist as well. The catch is, the magazine has to shoulder all these expenses.

Naturally, the magazine hesitated. The magazine has survived very well and is backed up by one of the country's top broadsheets. The magazine has featured some of the biggest names in showbiz and they were not as demanding as MA.

Is this a selfish behavior on MA's part so he can have some control over his appearances? Is he just smart as his photoshoots can pave the way for his team of production friends to get some business?

A Kept Man

Every time he opens a new business, this actor seems to have the Midas touch. From one firm, he now owns a chain of various business ventures. He has also successfully produced shows of foreign performers. He even lives like a prince in a huge house in an exclusive village. He even sold a project in another exclusive village.

Acting gave him a name but money seems to be his game these days. So, where does he get the money to sustain his businesses and lifestyle? Rumors have it that he is the kept man of a big time businessman.

In a recent corporate event, some guests wanted a photo with the male model/host who had just arrived from an island. Mustering enough guts, they approached him for a photo and he accommodated their request. He showed them his good side and they admired him more for showing decent behavior. He even continued to talk to them when he found out they had a common friend.

While they were talking, one of his island-mates called him to go to their table. He said he'll be there in a while as he was still talking with the guests. She continued to call him until it became irritating. The guests let him go and he apologized that he had to leave. The guests were irked with her behavior and they noticed she did the same thing to another guest of the event. Now, these are not ordinary guests as they belong to the group of people who can make or break a television show or even a network. As for the island-mate, she is not even his girlfriend!

Letter from a Reader: Unfulfilled Promises

Dear Fashion PULIS,

I’m an avid reader of your blog and I know that you not only post blind items, but also some of your readers’ experiences with bad service, scams, etc., as caution to your other readers. I hope you will post this, not only as caution to your readers, but to call attention also to the organizer of a particular sports event held last October.

This event was sponsored by a popular shoe/sports apparel brand. The number of participants was overwhelming. In all fairness, the event was organized at first with just some minor hiccups (which was understandable because it was a big event). They gave us a runner’s kit before the race (as advertised) and “promised” us a finisher’s kit as well after the race. After the race, we were surprised when we only received a poster and a letter saying that our finisher’s kit will just be sent to the address provided in our registration form.

At that point it was fine with us but as weeks past, we still did not receive our finisher’s kit. The last update they gave us through their Facebook page was last November and that they said they will be delivering this finisher’s item first week of December. It’s now February and we still have not received this item.

If ever they will organize another Run this year I really hope that they will stick to their promise, but I do not think I will be joining this event this year anymore.

It Takes One to Know One

Sometime ago, when Moving-on girl (MG) was scheduled to do a special number on this TV show, her makeup artist could not help but think of the odd way MG acted prior to her performance. MG locked herself in the bathroom before her makeup artist could fix her for the show. When makeup artist called for her, MG did not want to leave the bathroom and texted she wanted another makeup artist for that task. Of course, her makeup artist was persistent and managed to convince MG to step out of the bathroom.

Why did MG not want her makeup artist to fix her? It takes one to know one. MG was so afraid that her makeup artist, would be able to smell that she had taken something. True enough, makeup artist was able to detect that MG was not her usual self. Did she do that because she already realized the mess she got herself into? Did MG do that as a one-time experiment?

The Nose Knows

After disappearing from the variety show for a while, the pretty host comes back looking a bit different. She said she had to rest because her accident left scratches on her face. Looking closely at her photos, there seems to be something different with her face. She's sporting a new look to divert the attention of people from the nose job.
