Righteous Big Heart

This hyper personality (HP) became a trending topic in twitter when he had to leave a show where he stayed for almost a year. Pressure from the viewers could not make management bend the rules to bring him back so he was erased from the roster. During his stint, HP developed a friendship with this TV personality.

This friendship was well-meaning. When the favorite relative of the TV personality was confined at a hospital, HP spent time with the relative. He even left food for the mother of the TV personality who took over the duties at the hospital. When the relative eventually passed away, the mother could not stop sharing a sample of the sincere kindness of HP to the visitors at the wake.

Obvious Excuse

Her new look, new projects, and renewed confidence project an image of a woman who has risen above the situation. In fact, viewers were happy to see her back in her element and the fans look forward to seeing her again appear regularly on TV. Unfortunately, she already sent word she might not be around for tomorrow's show. It's not a big deal, really. However, tomorrow happens to be his birthday celebration.

Is she afraid to be the next victim of a possible awkward moment just like what happened last week? Is she still not ready to see him? What do you think?

Galoshes Galore

In the aftermath of a disaster, this team flew to the affected sites to help the victims. The boss wore an expensive pair of boots while at the field. The crowd and the staff heard the boss cursing repeatedly as her boots sank in the mud with her every step. To solve her muddy situation and save her boots, she asked an aide to buy her a pair of rubber shoes for her to have a more comfortable walk.

However, there was a sidelight to this event. In a rare appearance, the real boss joined the operation. The real boss is not known to involve himself in actual outreach activities as the boss is the one running that part of their empire. Rumors have it that the real boss joined the team because the new ladylove, a professional and actress who kept her poise amid controversy, was part of the contingent as well.

Do you have an idea as to who the boss and the real boss are? How about the actress? Please abide by the RULES in writing comment if you want me to post them.

Frankly Desirable

This desirable actor (DA) answered an ad in the personals section of a popular list abroad. DA sent his photos but hid under a fictitious name. DA and the male searcher hooked up several times. DA is top and does not kiss, according to the source.

Frankly, at first the searcher did not have a clue regarding the identity of DA until he saw this certain Filipino comedy film at a friend's place. When he got home, he researched online and found out DA is an actor and model in the Philippines.

Do you have an idea as to who this desirable actor is? Please abide by the RULES in writing comments if you want me to post them.

Out on Bail

FP’s attention was called by a group of designers (GD) who are unhappy with the outcome of the case of this family in the fashion industry. The stores of this family were trendsetters and even imitated by the rest at the height of its popularity.

GD laments that the board of directors, who belong to this family, are all out on bail after being indicted for allegedly pocketing the earnings of their stores. GD refutes the claim that the variety of stores closed down due to poor sales. Until the very end, the stores made money, ranging from 1M during lean months to as much as 2M to 3M in major malls.

Payments were either delayed or not made to the designers, rent, suppliers, and subcontractors, among others. Even GD remains unpaid until now. The little people (suppliers of accessories and subcontractors of those who made dresses for them) who have yet to be paid, have kept quiet as they did not want to be stressed out in pursuing the case.

GD remains steadfast in its cause for justice against this family. GD hates seeing some members of this family still living the high life in spite of what they have done.

Woo or Wah?

Hot actor (HA) is enjoying his share of the limelight these days. After one of the leading men in his teleserye had to take it easy, viewers quickly saw the chemistry HA had with his leading lady. In fact, viewers are hoping HA is wooing her and they really are an item. However, HA's new success has led to:

Woo: HA is a gentleman in taking care of his leading lady to the point that the director is getting jealous. HA is sincere with his feelings for his leading lady and will pursue her.

Wah: HA's success has gone to his head and is misbehaving. A director had to reprimand HA and that incident eventually embarrassed him. HA is not really interested in his leading lady outside of their teleserye.

So, which side will you take, woo or wah?

Letter from a Reader: Mixed-up My SIM

Dear FP,

As an avid reader of your blog, I have found your site as a considerable way to get our voices heard as consumers. I am going to forward this as well to the attention of NTC, but I believe that flagging this to your site first will substantially draw the attention my case deserves.

My horrible experience started when I signed up for a new line under my existing account last Jan 2nd in one of the malls in Pasig. The expectation was set for 24 to 48 hours to have it activated. Last Jan. 4, when 48 hours elapsed, I decided to have my brother follow this matter on my behalf by calling the telecom's hotline. He was advised that a ticket was logged to record this delayed concern and feedback will be given soon.

Two days later, there was still no return call. My brother followed up again. Soon after, he sought my help to call back if needed after the committed callback deadline of 3pm, as the line is under my name. We waited until 3:45pm, and by then I took over.

To make the long story short, I was denied several times of speaking to a supervisor or manager in their call center (outsourced to a local BPO firm) up until I was adamant in having my request expedited. The agent and the supervisor advised me to contact the branch where I filed my request as my need was beyond the call center's capabilities. However, the supervisor assured me that my request was already being addressed.

After a few minutes, the mobile number that was already existing and the one I was personally using to call them went out of service all of a sudden. Having worked for a Singaporean telco myself in the past, I suspected that an error in SIM mapping might have been the cause. So I tried and checked the inactive SIM that was meant for the activation of the new line, and I was right. My mobile number was transferred to this other SIM.

Things would have been more manageable on my part if only I wasn't using an iPhone 4S that requires a micro sim instead of the regular sized one. Due to their error, I had no way of using this newly activated SIM on my unit.

With this development, I was already blowing off my fuse and on the way to the nearest center to file a complaint, the supervisor suddenly called. She had a cheery tone and perhaps was horrified to learn of how things got seriously messed up. I asked for the number of the branch to get in touch with the same manager that I spoke with when I signed up for this new line.

While driving to the branch, I was able to reach the manager. In the midst of our heavy discussion, she informed me she was in the hospital. I made it clear that I have no intention of stressing her out further, so I requested to speak to her branch assistant. A few more minutes later, I got a call from a woman who got me more irritated because it seemed she had no sense of the gravity of my concern. I was losing business because my mobile cannot be contacted due to their error.

I hope this brings attention to how poorly this telecom service is treating its customers. No wonder people are switching to the other telecom.

Yours truly,
P.G.
