Official Statement of the Drink Company

I have always believed that there are two sides to every story. I just read this message on the Facebook page of the company that is related to the Letter from a Reader: A Cockroach in My Drink  post so I decided to share it with all of you.
To our valued customers:
Our stores have always followed the safety, cleanliness and quality standards set by the brand’s international operator, and our ingredients are sourced from approved suppliers that adhere to the same strict standards.

In response to the recent claim that questions these procedures, we strongly caution anyone from jumping to conclusions without knowing the condition in which the said drink was kept. As the drink had already been out of the store for several hours, the connection between the incident and the branch where the drink originated cannot be thoroughly substantiated.
The company works hard to ensure the well-being of our customers, and we give you our utmost assurance that we have and will continue to consistently strive to exceed the brand’s global standards. We happily remain at your service.

Don't Reveal Your Age

Are the type of person who would like about your age? In show business, most actors don't reveal their real age. In fact it is already a common practice for them to subtract three to five years from their biological age depending on their looks.

Last week, when a reporter asked this actor about his age, he told him that he will be celebrating his 30 birthday later this year. This actor might have forgotten that the same reporter asked for his age a few years ago and he also told him that  he was 30. I guessed he stopped counting when he reached that age.

Do you know who this actor is? According to Wikipedia, he will be turning 32 years old later this year. I did my own research and I was able to find out that he is already between 36 to 37 years old.

Please follow micsylim on Twitter if you need additional clues on the actor. Kindly continue to send your juicy stories to: michaelsylim@gmail.com. Thank you very much for loving Fashion PULIS!

Letter from a Reader: A Cockroach in My Drink

Dear Fashion PULIS,

I am sending you this photo to inform you and your readers that you have to pay attention to what you eat or drink. I have already consumed more than half of the drink when I noticed that there was a cockroach in my drink. It was really very disgusting! I literally felt like throwing up when I saw it.

To make things worse, when I complained to the lady at the counter, she simply ignored me. Although I believe that they had nothing to do with the insect in my drink, the least she could have done was to apologize and offer to replace it.

Anyway, my objective for sending this photo is to warn you guys to be more careful when you are eating or drinking something. Sometime when we are having a good time with our friends we tend to talk too much and not pay attention to what we put in our mouth.

Yours trully,
Miss HL

Letter From a Reader: My Wedding Photographer is Nowhere to be Found

Dear Fashion PULIS,

Congratulations for reaching close to 6 million pageviews. I am an avid fan of your blog and I visit it almost everyday. I hope you can let me share a very sad experience that has been bothering me for the past two years.

In 2009, when I got married, I got the services of this photographer whose first name and last name both begin with the letter L (I understand you don't allow names). Prior to booking him, he suggested that I should pay him in full so that I will be able to avail of the discount and freebies (e.g. photo albums, signature frames, etc.). When I decided to get him, I took his advice and wrote him a check for the full amount.

When my wedding day came, he was there to take the photos and everything turned out well. I did not have any problem with him during the wedding day itself. My predicament started when I returned to Manila from my honeymoon two months later.

My husband and I went to the USA for almost two months. Upon returning home, I got in touch with our wedding photographer because I was very excited to see the wedding photos. I got in touch with LL and he told me that he needed another month to edit the photos. A month and a half later, around December 2009, I called him and he told me to give him more time because it was a very busy month for him.

I waited for Christmas and New Year to pass. On the second week of January 2010, I tried calling his mobile phone but the subscriber cannot be reached. I tried contacting his office and no one was answering my calls. After trying to call him for a week, I decided to pass by his office. I was devastated when I learned that he already gave up his space.

It has been almost two years now and up to this day, I have not located him. I tried approaching this certain organization of professional photographers and some of the members told me that they have not seen LL for the longest time.

At this point, all I want are the raw photos he took during my wedding because I can never repeat that day. I don't need the albums and the other items  included in the package that I paid for. I just want him to give me the CDs containing all my wedding photos.

Thank you very much Fashion PULIS for posting my letter. I hope this will serve as a warning to all your readers who are planning their wedding. Please don't be too trusting.

More power to you Mr. Fashion PULIS!

Yours truly,
Bride w/o photos

Forbidden Lovers?

Is it true that these two stars were forbidden from being seen together in public? If it were true, what do you think is the reason behind? Your guess is as good as mine.
