The sexual preference of this sweet actress has been in question for many years. In the past, she had a relationship with a female colleague from the same network who incidentally committed suicide after their separation. According to the people close to this person, she was extremely depressed after the actress left her so she decided to end her life.

Recently, this actress has been rumored to be dating an actor from the same network. This actor used to be the boyfriend of another actress who also belong to the same network. Is this love affair a publicity stunt to reassure the actress’ fans of her sexuality?

According to a source, the current love interest of this actress is in fact a female director and not the actor. If this is the case, this actress is certainly trying to confuse all of us. Is it the actor, the female director or both? Is she straight, gay or bi? Your guess is as good as mine.

The Actor's Assistant: Case Closed =)

I am happy to be back in Manila. There is really no place like home. When I was in Europe, a friend of mine from Laoag sent me a text message regarding a story she received from Twitter about the problem of The Actor's Assistant.  Yesterday, this friend of mine updated me through a text message informing me that the problem of the PA has finally been solved. After hearing the good news, I got in touch with source of the story and this was the message I received. 

Dear Fashion PULIS, 

I would just like to express our deepest gratitude to you. If not for the blind item entitled The Actor's Assistant you posted in your blog, the personal assistant (PA) of the actor wouldn't have gotten out of the hospital. Your blog site (which I check daily) is not only entertaining, it also helps voiceless people. I have introduced your blog to my friends and now they are hooked like me. Congratulations! In a short span of time you gained a considerable number of followers. More power to your blog and may you continue to help other people.

After receiving her message, I asked her a few questions to clarify some of the comments that our readers have posted.

Q: There was a reader who said that the actor does not have a PA. Is he the driver?
A: RIGHT HAND MAN may be the more appropriate term. He takes care of actor's money. Apparently, he helps the actor collect money from well-known people and deposit the money. Sometimes, he drives for the actor but he is definitely not the driver, more of  a "KATIWALA".  He is also acts as the liaison officer for his other businesses. In fact, this actor has 2 right hand men. The one in the story is A and the other is J. It is not true that A received a house from the actor as your reader has commented. He used to live in the house of the actor.

Q: Who was the one who gave the cash to the PA's family? Do you know how much was given?
A: The wife, on behalf of the actor, was the one who gave the money to the family members. She gave 50% of the amount and even helped the family members obtain the other 50% from charitable institutions. Kudos to them!

Q: How is the condition of the PA? 

A: Unfortunately, it is Stage 4 Colon Cancer. In fairness to the doctors in the said hospital where he was transferred to, they did not charge the PA's family right and left thinking that the actor will be the one to shoulder the expenses. The doctors just performed an operation that was really necessary and did not do other expensive invasive procedures since the PA's family informed them that they are under financial constraint.

The Inspiration of Princess Beatrice's Hat

Princess Beatrice, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, was chosen as the worst dressed Royal Wedding guest by The Times Live. She paired her Valentino Haute Couture dress and coat with a Philip Treacy hat.

I think this melon/buko scraper was the inspiration of Princess Beatrice's hat designer. What do you think?

Letter from a Reader: Wanna Join Us?

Dear Fashion Pulis,

I am writing you to share a story and get the opinions/reactions of your readers as well. One Saturday night, my friends and I went to this famous dance club in Malate because we haven't been there for a long time. My friends who were with me are mostly VIPs (famous personalities/loyal clients/friends of the shareholders) of this club so they brought me to the VIP lounge on the second floor.

A couple of drinks later, while my friends were dancing and enjoying the good music, I noticed a familiar looking person looking at me in the lounge. A few minutes later, he walked towards me and introduced himself. He went on asking "Who do you think is the hottest guy that you want to have sex with in this room right now?" I was shocked to hear this from him because I noticed that his partner was just a few meters away. I told him politely that I was just there to enjoy the music and have fun with some good friends. Attempting to change the topic, I pointed to his partner and said, "Isn't he your partner? You are the design duo who owns this store in a mall, right?" He immediately called his partner and introduced me to him. After the brief introduction, the partner went back to his friends. When I was left alone with him again, he asked me, "Are you more of a giver or a receiver? Would you like to join us in bed? I am feeling hot right now." I panicked after hearing his questions and I simply said, "I am sorry but I have to go back to my friends now. It was really nice talking to you." 

Call me a hopeless romantic but in my opinion, when a person (guy or girl) is committed to someone, he/she must not enter into casual encounters with others. I just felt weird that he asked me to join him and his partner for a three way. I hope I am not being judgmental and I hope this will not offend your readers. I just need to know what your readers think about having a casual encounter with a couple.

The Kept Woman: Reality Star Turned Mistress

This actress was an alumna of a prestigious reality television show. When she graduated from the show and eventually joined show business, her superb acting skills immediately caught the attention of many industry critics. She was tagged as one of the most promising talents in her batch and that is why many were shocked when she decided to end her acting stint abruptly. According to her, she left the limelight because she wanted to live a simple normal life.

The irony here is that her life was never really simple after she quit the business. On the contrary, her lifestyle became sophisticated and glamorous. Overnight, she transformed from a simple girl from the North into a posh globe-trotter who only wore designer clothes. How did this happen?

The answer is very simple. Instead of working, she opted to be the kept women of a wealthy controversial public servant who has an ill reputation both in the Philippines and overseas. Together, they had a good run until many new girls started to enter the picture. This gave the reality star an excuse to end her relationship with him. Perhaps, the real reason behind was she has saved enough money that is why she opted to move on. Recently, this actress has been staging a comeback by accepting minor roles in movies and television shows. No one dared to dig up her past because she is being protected by her manager who is rather influential in the industry.

The Fashion Betrayal

I am currently in Paris enjoying the last two days of our European trip. I am so tired from walking and shopping but I promised myself to post a new story before I go to bed. By the way, I already bought the Longchamp Le Pliage Tote that will be raffled away when I get home.

Paris is known as the fashion capital of the world. Designers all over the world move to Paris to pursue their careers in fashion. I am sure many of you are familiar with the Italian designer, Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavni. In his younger days, Valentino moved to Paris to study at the École des Beaux-Arts and at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. He also did his apprenticeship under several French fashion houses before going back to Italy to start his own atelier.

Valentino is known for his elegant and timeless dresses. This is why he is the favorite of many international celebrities. His dresses can be very expensive and I can only think of a few women in Manila who are willing to invest on a Valentino dress. This certain Filipina fashion icon/actress loved her one of her Valentino dresses so much that she requested her trusted designer to create something similar exclusively for her. The final product was up to her standard and she was very pleased with the designer until she saw someone else at an event, wearing a dress similar to hers. She later discovered that the designer was selling her exclusive design to all her other clients. The fashion icon/actress was very disappointed. She felt betrayed by the designer and from then on, she stopped patronizing her. In my opinion, this was a big loss on the designer's part.

More than knowing the identity of this designer, this story should serve as a lesson for all us who are doing business. When we promise something to our client, we should make sure that we are able to fulfill this promise. At the end of the day, a good name is better than riches.

Anyway, I am sure that in spite that I mentioned that the identities of the characters in the story are not important, many of you are still dying to know who they are. Do you have any clues? I prefer the Sac de Voyage Hermes Haut a Courroie (HAC) 40cm over the Hermes Birkin 40cm. I think this size of this bag is more suited for my built. I only have one HAC in Thalassa Blue and I have been wanting to buy another one. When I went to the Hermes Flagship Store in Fauborg St. Honore this afternoon, I felt an adrenalin rush  when I spotted these three Hermes HAC 40 cm in the display window. Unfortunately, according to the sales associate, these pieces are not for sale. She does even know their selling prices. I was even more disappointed when she told me that Hermes stopped producing the HAC since last year. Sigh!

From Malta to Gozo

The bus system in Malta is very efficient. From where the fountain is, we took Bus No. 45 to Cirkewwa. It cost us .47 Euro and more than an hour to get there. We took the ferry from Cirkewa to Gozo. It was a 20 minute sail.

The Gozo Sightseeing Bus toured us around Gozo for more than two hours. The visit to the Ggantia Temples was the highlight of our trip to Gozo.

The Ggantija Temples or otherwise known as the Megalithic Temples of Malta are the oldest free-standing structures on Earth. They were built 1000 year before Egypt's pyramid and 2000 years before the United Kingdom's Stonehenge.

After sailing back to Malta, we took Bus No. 62 from Valletta to have dinner in Paceville, St. Jillian. This is where you can enjoy the nightlife in Malta

An Afternoon in Malta's Valletta

We arrived in Malta last April 24, 2011. Our hotel was located in Valletta, the capital of Malta. Although it was a five star hotel, I was disappointed that the rooms did not have Internet connection. I had to update my blog from the hotel's lobby and the connection was very slow that is why I was not able to post these photos immediately.

Valletta is a World Heritage site. The city is like an open-air museum with numerous Baroque architectures. It has many quaint cafés and bars that made the city one of Malta’s main tourist attractions. Let me share some of the photos I took on an Easter afternoon while walking around this World Heritage site.
