Usually, parents often think of the future of their children and hope that they will bestow on them whatever they will leave when they die. However, some parents think differently and believe the kids should be self-sufficient on their own.

A Veteran Actress (VA) has bravely declared her children will not inherit anything she has worked for. Before people judge VA for her vow, she has a logical reason for her decision. Since VA entered showbiz, she has an image of being an independent woman. While her contemporaries worked on lead roles, VA was assigned the other essential roles, such as the villain or the proverbial best friend.

As time passed, VA was able to invest in properties and businesses. The good thing about her investment is that she’s hands-on. Her ventures are also her interests and thus, things fell into place, like enjoying the best of both worlds. While the ordinary onlooker can only marvel at what VA has done with admiration, VA has an entirely different viewpoint on who will take care of her assets when she passes. Usually, the children are expected to partake of the elders’ wealth. VA is not the typical parent. As early as now, VA has been vocal that she will not be leaving anything to them.

VA said her decision is to strengthen the resolve of her kids to make something for themselves rather than rely on their parents. Instead of fostering dependence and laziness, VA is teaching her kids to be hardworking. Whereas, most will not agree with her, others will find wisdom in what she’s teaching.
