Omg ang lalaki ng paintings, original ba to, bakit walang security, i checked the prices of his previous works and milyones ang presyo, or baka naman fake ito
*security i mean not only baka nakawin pwede rin hawakan, masira, mabato ng kung ano ay sorry mga protesters kasi sa ibang bansa binabato nila nga arts ng paint haha iba nasa isip ko
The heirs, if they have a complete library of their parent's work and if they own the rights as inheritance will always have a legal and moral say on authenticity lalo na pag caretakers sila ng legacy ng tatay/nanay nila.
Lahat ng work ng artist nung buhya pa - binenta o in their keeping, may revird yan especially if commercial ang transaction. Puede rin na gumawa ng artwork ang artist na hindi recorded - sketches, gifts to friends - pero kung wala na ang artist to say 'yes work ko ito', kelangan muna ma authenticate ang work bago mabenta o masabi na obra nga niya. Kaya may certificate of authenticity kung bumibili ng original na obra from galleries or from the artist's library or private sellers na talagang bumili o nabigyan ng obra. Fakes are a stain on an artist's work and legacy. Besides, it is wrong and a crime to sell fakes.
The entire exhibit was dedicated to Arturo Luz. All of the works are exclusively his (allegedly). I think common courtesy na lang na may balak gumawa ng event to celebrate the life of an artist, to invite the living family. It also sounds like based sa reaction ni Paulina na may obvious fakes.
I attended a talk about Arturo Luz at Silverlens Gallery in 2023. Ang ganda ni Angela Luz. Lakas ng appeal. Paulina was also there. Na-share din nila sa talk na they authenticate the works of Arturo Luz. I don't know much about art and Arturo Luz, kaya I attended the talk.

DeleteWtferk talaga eto. Di man lang ginalang yung mga namatay
ReplyDeleteNaalala ko yung pyesa ni Bea sa bahay nya. Sa entryway sobrang laki. I bet nasa 20M yun
ReplyDeleteNasa 50 million yun because of the size
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily. In their case, the Luz siblings kasi ang authorized mag-authenticate ng Arturo Luz artworks.

ang sabi nya only the family members have the authority to authenticate the painting. so yes, dapat at least isa sa kanila
