  2. OMG opinion ko lang common story at nothing new lang ang Anora, magaling yung babae pero as a whole movie not deserving as best picture

    1. Nagtataka ako why di man lang na-nominate as best actress si angelina jolie for her role in Maria

      Delete
    2. 10:13 Yep, what a major snub to Angelina’s comeback film

      Delete
    3. At least one of the youngest winners si Angelina pa rin and she already has 2 oscars so happy ako for her. But if she was nominated along with Mary Jean-Baptiste, mas mahirap ung race.

      Delete
    4. 2:36 thanks for sharing! This makes me feel so much better because I'm still upset over her snub and Nicole Kidman's too.

      Delete
    5. Angelina is such a good actress. One day she'll bag a leading actress oscar din aside from her best supporting actress oscar!! Manifesting!!!!!

      Delete
    6. Haist, another pokpok glorification meets Cinderella movie. Sorry, but I find Anora uncreative. Stripper marries rich brat, samahan ng mahaderang mother in law. Pang-telenovela lang ang peg.

Mas impressive at napapanahon yung The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, at Emilia Perez.

      Not impressed, Oscars!

  3. Congratulations to Flow. I enjoyed it.

    1. Loved flow too! Walang dialogue pero compelling. Great performance cynthia erivo defying gravity. Anora was ok pero compared to the brutalist? Ang layoooo

      Delete
    2. The Substance talaga ang most deserving na dapat humakot ng awards. Nakakadisappoint.

      Delete
    3. Fun fact: Flow used real animal sounds for most of its characters except for the Miss Congeniality capybara. Hehe

      Delete
    4. Damang dama ko yung emotions ng animals and how they think like humans. I have a black cat and has same personality kay cat sa Flow kaya lalong naging meaningful sa akin yung story.

      Delete
    5. I loved everything about Flow! Nakakatuwa yung dynamics ng mga hayop especially yung cat and secretarybird. At yung capybara. Siya talaga ang Monica Geller nila- the glue that holds the group together. Hehe

      Delete
    6. I saw the screening of Flow sa Toronto International Film Festival. Andun din yung director. Sobrang funny niya and he shared stories of how they are a small independent studio sa Latvia and the process of choosing animals to include sa film. Yung capybara pinag isipan talaga nila. Sa totoo lang, ang dami ko na napanood na animation, pero feeling ko nothing can top this. Yung post apocalyptic setting, yung creative way na pinakita nila yung pag ascend to afterlife nung crane (my fave scene). Basta! So magical

    7. 9:23 push na push mo talaga yang The Substance teh!

      Delete
    8. 5:50 Oh wow! I'm surprised and glad to learn another perspective. I thought the secretarybird only decided not to join them in their adventure kasi healed na yung pakpak niya at nakakalipad na uli siya.

      Delete
    9. 9:23 The substance was okay, but it wasn’t Oscar-worthy.

      Delete
    10. 5:50 alin dun yung crane teh? May bagong karakter ang Flow? Omg

      Delete
Great watch naman pareho.

    1. Conclave parang minadali. Yun bang parang may lakad yung writer at direktor kaya parang walang masyadong thrill kahit thriller ang genre. Yung Flow naman sobrang boring. The Substance should’ve won most of the awards. Best in editing, story, phasing, sounds, direction. Maganda ang kwento, original at mapapasabik ka. May thrill ika nga

      Delete
I was expecting to see a darker side of their back stories. But I’m surprised that it wasn’t at all boring kahit puro dialogue.

      Delete
    3. 9:03 Conclave would have been a great series!!

How? Ano bang thrill ang innexpect mo eh religious ang theme nun? Also, kung hindi ka fan ng slice of life genre, boring talaga sayo ang Flow. It’s more on character development kasi. Ako kasi na-enjoy ko yang ganyang movie at marami na akong napanood na Japanese movies with same genre kayaI don’t find it boring. I wish I could also criticize The Substance pero it’s not my cup of tea.

      Delete
    5. Based from you choice of movie 9:03 halatang hindi mo naman talaga bet ang type of flow and conclave. Those movies aren’t your Preference kaya hindi credible ang opinyon mo.

      Delete
    6. Hard pass 9:03. I don’t trust your feedback kasi bias ka sa favorite genre mo. Seems like you’re not into the genres of Conclave and Flow. Hehe

      Delete
    7. Flow is not boring. Its not just for you kasi you dont get movies

      Delete
    8. 9:03 naman, Conclave is a political thriller and The Substance is a psychological thriller. Conclave is on building tension and more cerebral in nature kaya don't expect thrill similar to how you felt sa The Substance. Bottomline, slow burner films like Conclave and Flow aren't your cup of tea.

      Delete

      Delete
    10. 9:03 Then the movie isn't for you. Simple as that.

      Delete

      Delete
    12. The substance was okay, but it wasn’t Oscar-worthy.

      Delete
I was disappointed kasi nag-expect talaga ako and I’m not a fan of Demi. Masyado na syang late for my age.

      Delete
    14. 10:46 May I know kung anong inexpect mo sa Conclave? Kasi it's about selecting a new pope eh so pinakita kung paano yung selection process and the controversies surrounding it. Nag-expect ka ba ng action? Romance? Murder? The performances were also great and powerful given the fact na mga cardinal sila kaya kontrolado yung words and emotions.

      Delete
    15. 1:07 may nagustuhan naman akong eksena doon kahit papano. Yung prayer ni Cardinal Benitez before lunch. It was quite moving.

      Delete

Napanuod mo ba? 😂

      Delete
    3. Oo napanuod it was like a soft softcore p*rn film.

      Delete
    4. 2:37 Walang pinagkaiba sa Poor Things which also won big last year, both softcore p*rn films

      Delete
    5. Sorry her performance just wasn't it.

      Delete
Hahahahah

      Delete
    7. So asan ang sigaw ng sigaw dun aside from the mansion scene?

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Agree with you. Nadala sa hype

      Delete
    2. 8:50 hindi sila nagandahan. Accept it.

      Delete
  7. Poor girl prosti married immature rich boy wow best picture

    ReplyDelete
  8. Dune II or Conclave should’ve won Best Picture in my opinion. Don’t get the hype with Anora

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Agree, they gave me that real cinematic experience kahit sa cellphone ko lang napanood yung movie…

      Delete
    2. Dune? Conclave? Haha I don’t like anora pero yan talaga choices mo?

      Delete
    3. 2:45 kung cinematic experience lang Gladiator II ang nagshine for me

      Delete
  9. Idk why but hindi talaga swerte si Ariana Grande sa mga awardings (Grammys and Oscars) even though todo effort naman siya sa performance and red carpet appearances. I feel like she’s either being power tripped or simply not taken seriously by the judges

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Wicked is not the type of movie that will bag a best actress/supporting actress award anyways… it may have showcased her singing prowess but definitely not her range as an actress.

      Delete
    2. Sya pinakadeserving ng Best Supporting Actress kaya pag di sya manominate sa Wicked For Good ewan ko nalang talaga. May next year pa tayo.

      Delete
    3. Baka nakasama lang talaga ang cheating scandal niya this time

      Delete
    4. Or maybe, just maybe, her performance isn’t Oscar-worthy.

      Delete
    5. Most mainstream movies dont do well sa Oscars. If youve seen the other movies mag agree ka na mas deserve nila

      Delete
  10. Is the Brutalist worth the 3-hour watch??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Ewan ko teh. Bakit hindi mo panoorin so you can give your proper judgment? What’s worthy for me may not be worthy for you. Baka kung sabihin kung oo, sayo pala eh waste of time. Hehe

      Delete
    2. YES!! Gulat ako I was never bored. Ang ganda and very shocking

      Delete
  11. Sayang that Demi Moore didn’t win an Oscar, it would’ve been legendary since she also won Best Actress from almost all the other film awards

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. well maybe this is why she didn’t win and the oscar was given to someone else. give chance to others kumbaga

      Delete
    2. Kaya nga I agree, i felt bad for her. Buti sana if di sya deserving.. pero she has won majority of the awards naman.

      Delete
  12. hindi deserve ng anora, sa totoo lang. Out of the ten nominees for best picture, i would rank it 7th?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Your opinion matters?

      Delete
    2. But they still won the big categories of the night... Now who cares about your opinion little one?

      Delete
    3. 12:38 why so rude to 11:11? Anora is really not everyone’s cup of tea

      Delete
    4. 1:56 just because she didnt like the film hindi na deserve? 11:11should also be mindful of her words. saying the movie does not deserve it na as if mas magaling pa sya sa oscar voters

      Delete
    5. 12:38 oo naman teh kasi viewer siya eh!

      Delete
    6. 12:38 and 1:49 yes it does and I do. Because I sat through all 10. I had to look for copies online. Even the brutalist Napanuod mo ba lahat? Come back to me if u have.

      Delete
    7. Well unless oscar voter ka, your opinion on who gets the best picture doesnt matter. Obviously kasi you dont like it and yet sila nanalo.

      Delete
    8. 6:40 bawal ang pirated ha and illegal download ha

      Delete
    9. 1:34 whatever happened to us having opinion as CONSUMER of this art form. Bakit pa tayo nanuod kung wala naman tayong formed opinion about what we watched? ano yung, nag sayang lang ng Oras? Just because we're not voters doesn't mean we're not entitled to have thoughts about these? And I think there are better technically crafted movies kesa sa anora

      Delete
    10. I disagree. Anora was a clear standout. In most films it’s action then consequence. In Anora, it’s “internal battle leads to action then consequence”.

It has two levels of storytelling in every scene and if you are a filmmaker you will learn a lot more watching Anora than the others. Specifically, how to incorporate close up shots to capture unspoken feelings and internal conflicts of characters.

      Delete
    11. 5:15 if you are judging as a consumer then watch People’s Choice Awards not the Oscars!

      Delete
    12. 5:15 u know there are academy voters admitting theyve not even watched some of the films right? Didn't vote for Ralph fiennes thinking he already won (he hasnt). You expect me to trust their votes? Really? Why are u pushing a 'we can't have opinions' agenda, little one?

      Delete
  13. between demi Moore and Fernanda Torres, di ko rin gets bakit si Mikey...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. And it's not for you to understand dear

      Delete
    2. 1:50 Halatang maka-Anora 'to kaya pikon haha

      Delete
    3. 1:50 actually oo kasi the academy is so salty about giving horror films the respect that they deserve. just because body horror si substance ni demi is the reason why they didn't vote for it kahit na she swept globes, sag, and critics.

Fernanda too. They chose to be"diverse" with Emilia Perez and stopped there when this is actually the better "international" film.

      -11:11

      Delete
    4. 6:43 Natalie Portman won as best actress for The Black Swan which is horror.

      Delete
  14. Flow, all the way!

    ReplyDelete
  15. It seems like The Academy is into softcore p*rn films now. Anora bagging the major awards this year was just like what happened with the film Poor Things last awarding season.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  17. Has anyone also noticed that Mikey Madison winning the award is the exact plot of The Substance? What a coincidence lol

    ReplyDelete
  18. Congratulations, Mikey. All I see is Anora whenever I watch it. Crazy how she's so different from you. Di pa rin ako maka move on sa ending after how many months. That scene alone probably won the Best Picture.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I just can't bring myself to watch a film about a sex worker falling in love with the son of a Russian oligarch. Parang p*rn version ng Pretty Woman.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I was rooting for the conclave or the brutalist

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Brutalist talaga ang dapat hakot awards. Anora was terrible

      Delete
  21. Dapat si Paloma Diamond nanalo.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
I expected so much pero — meh
