    1. The word comes from Sappho, Greek poet who's lesbian.

    2. 9:06, it means lesbians

    3. Lesbian from the name Sappho, a Greek poet who lived on an island named Lesbos. Just Google na lang for further info.

    7. 1:06 Learn from the three comments above you. This is how you educate, instead of humiliate. Maayos naman nagtanong di ba? Ni walang bahid ng sarcasm yung tanong so why answer in a rude way? Oo may pang-Google but sometime, a person's explanation makes a big difference.

You are right madami mas nakakaintindi pag inexplain ng iba. Lahat may pinagdadaanan. Lets be nice. It will make a difference.

Toddlers na pwedeng maghormones agad if they feel like it. Its too much na. For me, ang gusto ko lang, magkaroon ng law that makes people of the same gender spouses. To protect yung medical care and properties ng lgbt couple. Yung lang naman talaga ang importante. The rest, OA na. Yung pagsali ng trans sa miss universe, for me thats too much force of priviledge.

Same goes for medical situations.

    2. I love your point of view. Katulad ng nangyayari sa ibang bansa, declaring themselves as transwoman for example to succeed in sports that they failed when competing to men's division. Or the one 'cosplaying' as a woman, and making misogynistic comments towards woman. Parang ginagawang content for fame na lang.

    3. True baks. May reality show yun. Nakaka awa lang kasi since 6 years old pa tinuturukan na ng hormones para maging babae. Ang nanay yun nagsabi na since 2 years old pa daw yung bata gusto niya daw ng v*g*na. Like true ka diyan dai? 2 years old, yan talaga ini-isip?

    4. Same. Im straight pero gusto ko magkaron ng gay marriage for the same reason. Karapatan nila ang security na yan.

    5. 1:54 but the two things you said were important 1) people of same gender can be lawful spouses 2) protect property and medical care of lgbt couple, walang ganyan sa pilipinas. So how can you say mas swerte ang mga bakla dito? The truth is, they are only "accepted" here kasi they still have less rights/ are still second class.

    6. Very well said.

    7. I.TOTALLY.AGREE.WITH.THIS! Im not against the lgbtq community, its just that masyado ng dumarami ang demands minsan. Nung una, they just want to be accepeted whichi think unti unti naman talaga nangyayare. But tama ka sa mga sinabi mo too much for e of priviledge na ung ibang gusto nila

      Delete
    9. 1:54 You clearly aren't aware of the comparison you're making. Ang sinasabi mong tanggap dito sa Pilipinas ay yung pagiging bakla lang, hindi ang karapatan nila which is what people in other countries are fighting for. In Japan for example, same-sex couples can't jointly adopt children, gain parental rights over stepchildren, etc.

Only shows how you only see and understand things sa kung paano mo gusto. And with those, i am very grateful na nasa pinas ako. And just like what ive said yung pag legalize of having a commong law spouse and its benefits na lang ang kulang. Thats too much! And i, thank you!

    11. I'm not lgbtq+ but I support and wish for their equal rights like us straight folks. Di lang acceptance. Matagal na akong manggagamot sa gov't hospital and pag lgbtq+ tas walang close family pero may partner naman, legally yung family pa rin hinahanap to sign papers. Tas minsan hirap pa si social worker to get in touch with the family.

My partner and I have been together since our early 20s, living together since our 2nd year, and going 15 na kami. We are very low key as well dahil we are not getting any younger too. We are struggling how to even go about the medical and property stuff, to the point na napapasip na kami to move overseas. Oh well.

    14. 9:08 i did not misunderstand your opinion, i just dont agree. In my view its misleading to say mas accepted ang mga bakla in ph because if that were true e di dapat they have the right to be spouses, adopt, have shared medical plans and other basic laws gaya sa ibang bansa. And what is the point of bringing up successful gays in ph? Wala bang successful na bakla sa US? So hindi din naman tayo lamang sa kanila in that regard.

      Delete
    15. I'm not 10:31 pero sablay pa din 2nd explanation mo 9:08. Yung statement mo na mas maswerte ang mga bakla dito sa Pilipinas is only superficial. Hindi naman kasi ganun kavocal ang mga bakla dito na isulong ang marriage and other rights or even using pronouns, etc.

  4. 10:31, puwede silang gumawa ng will, trust at medical directives.

    1. 6:55 in other words yung mga lgbt lang na maykaya will have access to those limited legal workarounds. Whereas if gay marriage was legal they would not need to hire a lawyer, the state itself would guarantee conjugal property, shared benefits etc. Halimbawa, most filipinos who dont own enough wealth to have a trust will at least have SSS pension, but their gay partner will not be entitled to the spousal benefits and even a will from the SSS account holder cannot change those rules.
