I honestly think that he is not that good. He may know the technical aspects of the sport but he lacks gracefulness and passion. I still watched him eagerly though dahil kababayan. 😘
Not being a crab but expected yan. Sorry ah pero walang improvement. Nakaqualify pala siya dahil may nag back out na isa. Congrats pa rin for representing our country.
We are and always will be proud of you Michael Martinez! To be in the same stage with some of the worlds greatest figure skaters in a sport that is alien to our tropical country, is enough reason for our Pinoy hearts to burst with pride! Excited to watch you in 2022!!!
I hope he tries again for Beijing. Sana he's healthy enough and the govt supports him more. In the pairs skate, the German won her first Olympic gold after trying FIVE times - that's 20 yrs of trying. Kaya ok lang yan Michael, be careful of injury and try again :)
Michael represents the Phili. in international skating competitions like the Olympics & the World's. Does he get any funding from the government for his training? It is amazing that he could do triple jumps & exceptional spins, but to be in the level of the big guns in skating, he needs quad jumps & triple axel. This is where training & good coaching come in & those of course need funds. I hope the Phil. govt gives him this help becuz the young man has potential & can be a good ambassador to this sport. Proud of you Michael.
It's okay. For a country that doesn't experience winter and snow at all, it's already a big surprise and honor to have someone represent us to the winter olympics. Cheers!
Congratulations on making it into the Olympics.
I’m very proud of you.
Wala man sya nakuha at least lumaban sya.
ReplyDeleteOlympics lg yan, the important things is gwapo ka pa rin 😍
ReplyDeleteMashadong simple yung routine niya compared to others. But job well done pa rin kasi walang semplang and thank you for representing our country.
ReplyDeleteIs the 2nd photo his standard pose? He was ranked number 28 out of 30 candidates. His score: 55.56
ReplyDeleteTop 1 Japan and Top 2 Spain were phenomenal though. Grabe! Parang paper lang ang movement nila.
The competitors are just really superb! We need to support this sports if we want our athletes to excel.
ReplyDeleteHe was like #28 out of 30. He was basically in the bottom. Oh well. Try and try again.
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised.
ReplyDeleteI honestly think that he is not that good. He may know the technical aspects of the sport but he lacks gracefulness and passion. I still watched him eagerly though dahil kababayan. 😘
ReplyDeleteIt's ok Michael, you did your best.
ReplyDeleteyou did your best. that alone is enough.

ReplyDeleteNevertheless, he did well. Thanks for representing our country. Continue striving & keep the faith
ReplyDeleteParang ang bigat ng katawan nya. At ang boring ng routine nya. Malayo sa sochi olympics performance nya!
ReplyDeletehaha buti nga
ReplyDeleteOk lang yan, he didnt have a lot of time to prepare. The participation and representation is what counts and hindi naman nakakahiya yung skate niya.

ReplyDeleteGood performance but, quads na lang kulang to score higher. I wish he had the time he needed to prepare...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on making it into the Olympics.

Thank you Michael. You make us all proud with or without a medal
ReplyDeleteDi bale, may iba pa namang competition. Goodluck.
