Just An Overacting Reaction

When celebrities enter restaurants or bars, they usually expect privacy and for customers to allow them to enjoy the moment. Often, customers would just look at celebrities and the more courageous ones would approach and ask for a photo. The celebrity then has the decision of granting or not a fan’s request. However, the reaction of customers depends on the type of establishment celebrities go to.

Imagine being able to dine in a high-end, almost exclusive, restaurant. The food is cooked by a renowned chef and only the ones who can afford to throw in a minimum of four digits for a meal are the patrons. Thus, the patrons have a certain profile, which means that they would rather focus on enjoying the ambiance and the food than gaze at celebrities dining.

One time, Female Actress (FA) and her Non-Showbiz Boyfriend (NB) were dining at a posh restaurant. While other diners were enjoying themselves, FA and NB managed to ruin the moment. FA kept badgering NB to make sure he gets the right angle for their live documentation in social media. After all, dining at that restaurant indicates a certain social status, and being seen there means that one is in the right circle.

Trying to be affectionate in front of the mobile device, FA was not happy with the several takes. The video was not turning out the way she wanted. Thus, for every take, she was repeating the same lines over and over. NB could not get the perfect shot. FA would repeat the same statement until she felt satisfied.

When FA was finally happy with their video, the other customers were already irritated. Rather than have a quiet presence, FA and NB called attention to themselves. FA was speaking loudly and repeated the same lines, which the other customers already memorized given the coziness of the restaurant. Then, FA and NB made a little scene with the waiter. FA ranted when the dish she wanted was not available. NB looked at the waiter and told him that the restaurant should close down, and even tapped the waiter. Some guests felt that the way FA and NB conducted themselves was short of the proper behavior for such a prestigious restaurant in one of the country’s premiere hubs.
