    1. User din ako because I have health prob. Sana may exemptions but dont put all the blame to the government naman. Intayin natin yung final decision on the alleged banning.

    1. We will see 18 yr olds girls dating 40 yr olds guys just like in the US. There's no consequence anymore. If you look at the big picture parang ang lalaki nagpaplit nlang ng damit. It is more advantageous for men. At the end of the nasa tao parin yun kung gagamit sila at hindi mo sila madidiktihan.

      Delete
    2. Anon 2:04

FYI. 18 is legal. Age of consent in US is 16 to 18. Age of consent sa Pilipinas? 12. Yes 12 years old.

This is the only way ma-protektahan ng babae ang sarili niya from being pregnant. Again freedom of Choice.

      -Anon 12:58

      Delete
    3. @anon 2:04 It saddens me that you see "unplanned/unwanted" pregnancy as a mere consequence of dating. Please bear in mind that it will affect the life of the mother and the child, therefore a woman should have the freedom to choose.

      Delete
    4. Freedom to choose? Don't be shy about it. Just say it na To be pregnant or to terminate pregnancy using the pill.

      Delete
    5. Excuse you lang po sa mga mapanghusga dito-maraming gumagamitng pills for medical reasons. Be informed

      Delete
A lot of women use the pill for that purpose. Definitely in this sense as well, may karapatan nag babae to choose kung gusto na nya mabuntis or hindi pa.

Yun ba ang pro life? Masabi lang na pro life kahit isaalang alang ang quality ng life ng bata? You may want to think about that.

  22. Mali yung statement niya that that "oral contraceptives are proven safe and do not cause abortion." This is kind of long, but please bear with me as I make my point.

Oral contraceptives CAN cause abortion in the event that a woman conceives (when the sperm fertilizes the egg). It can only allow the zygote to reach the Fallopian tube where an ectopic pregnancy may result, which can be dangerous for the baby and the mother. If this happens, the mother's choice would be to get an abortive procedure to save her life, but the baby is virtually dead at that point.

Or, in other cases, oral contraceptives can prevent the zygote from reaching the uterus where it can implant and receive nourishment. The oral contraceptive can make the uterus lining or endometrium so thin that will cause the mother to bleed profusely making it impossible for the baby to properly implant itself, thereby killing it in he process.

There are also damaging biological effects caused by oral contraceptives to the woman's overall health, physical and mental health, that is. You see, when the sperm fetilizes the egg, life starts developing in the form of a zygote (may buhay na), the body sends signals to the brain that the body is pregnant. Thus, all mechanisms in the body's organs (from the blood flow to the heart rate, etc...) will start preparing to grow that new life within. If the pregnancy is terminated AT ANY POINT, from the time the "signal" is sent to the brain and the body starts "preparing" itself for the pregnancy, it will cause a mental breakdown. The physiological effects will be instantaneous because the the mechanisms from the oral contraceptives has confused the body from being pregnant at one moment, and then no longer pregnant once it has aborted the zygote. The body will ask the brain "why did you tell us to change and prepare for another life, when there isn't any?" Then, mental illness such as depression ensues. From the outside, one may say it is unexplainable depression, but from within, it's the body's natural response to the confusion caused by the mechanisms of oral contraceptives.

This is not a simple debate regarding a woman's right to do what she wishes with her body when she doesn't want to have a child. There is more impact to a woman's overall well-being that should be brought into the discussion. Women need to be informed of the true effects of oral contraceptives to her body, mind, and spirit.

    2. you're pathetic 6.02.
those are real issues pointed out by 2.28.

      Delete

      Delete
Babala.

      Delete
    5. grabe! nobody talks about those issues nga. 😢

    6. contraceptive pills does not cause abortion. i cant believe people think that. there are side effects yes.. depression weight gain etc but what medicine does not??? my goodness. philippines is going backwards. if people want to abort, they find ways. pwede namang kontrolin ang pag dispense at gawing rx only. pero to the point na i ban dahil sa unsubstantial report of it causing abortion????? ilang years na merong pills??? ilang studies na nagawa jan?? it is safe. it does not cause abortion. now for those against the pill fine, but dont impose your belief sa ibang tao. if you dont want it, dont take it. but make it available sa mga nangangailangan nito.

      Delete

      Delete
    8. actually life doesn't start with fertilization but more with after a few weeks after implantation (kaya ka nagpapa ultrasound on 8th week kasi sa 6th week pa lang may heartbeat), nag aral ako ng OB pero hindi ganyan ang pathophysiology ng oral contraceptives, more to estrogen-progesterone complex so kung saan mo nakuha ang explanation mo ng confusion to thhe brain eh suggest ko basahin mo yung Williams Obstetrics. Saka sa preparation of the brain newsflash every month you go through with it just that when you take contraceptives you alter the hormone complex that's helpful sa mga hindi ready magbuntis, even those with endometriosis and hormonal imbalance.

Life begins po basta nagbuklod yung egg at sperm. I'm not 2:28 po.

      Delete

      Delete
    11. @5:00 - so, you're saying that life only starts when there is a heartbeat? Is that what those books you've read and studied told you?

      Delete
    12. Just so you know not all fertilized egg are 'alive' naimplant pero hindi buhay kaya nga may mga positive pero walang heartbeat after 6-8 weeks kasi nde lahat ng naimplant na fertilized eggs ay buhay.

      Delete
    13. There are two basic criteria of life on a medical stand point cardio respiratory and neurologic and since we cannot measure brainwaves at x amount of weeks on an embryo we use the cardio approach which is to use transvaginal ultrasound/abdominal (depends on the number of weeks and maternal health) check heartbeat and to determine if this 'fertilized egg' 8 weeks ago is alive. If no heartbeat at this stage usually it regress to spontaneous abortion or perform d&c. The definition of life differs from a medical stand point to a moral/religious definition. If you would look at the criteria that's carried by legal abortion at certain countries that's 20weeks less than 500g at that time you can already determine the sex. As I see it definition of life is different on moral/religious ground, medical definition and even legal definition.

      Delete
Life starts when there is heartbeat.

Wala ka pang napapatunayan masyado nagpapaimpress or nagmamayabang. I'm a beauty pageant enthusiasts at hindi makakatulong yang pa impress Na ganyan. 1. There are 2 expensive pills I know of that are linked with irritability and depression with long term use. Tsaka nakakataba sila. As with supplements and any synthetic medicine, it pays to ask and do your own research.I researched before deciding on a contraceptive brand to use and I'm happy with the results. Wag naman sana nila i ban.

  25. Kawawa naman kaming mga may PCOS. Gumagamit kami ng contraceptives para maregulate ang menstruation and at the same time to prevent endometrial cancer(kasi pag di ka nagkakaroon thickening of endometrial wall may lead to cancer accdg to my OB-GYN) kaya panu na lang pag may TRO na.

    ReplyDelete
Jusmio! I have irregular periods and rely on pills. And despite going to the derma, it was the only effective method that cured my cystic acne. This TRO thing is just b*ll****
