Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Jennifer Hammond made it to the top 15 of Miss Intercontinental 2016 in the coronation night held in Colombo, Sri Lanka Sunday.
Aside from Hammond, contestants from Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, Ghana, Seychelles, Thailand, Sri Lanka, China, Italy, Czech Republic, Scotland, Poland and Ukraine also made it to the top 15.
Only one representative from each continent was chosen to be part of the top 5.
Miss Sri Lanka represented the continent of Asia, while contestants from Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Italy and Ghana also represented their respective continents.
Heilymar Rosario from Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2016, while Tracy Zilva of Sri Lanka was named first runner-up.
Silvia Commodore of Ghana won second runner-up; Floriana Russo of Italy, third runner-up; and Amal Karina Nemer of Venezuela, fourth runner-up.
Last year, Christi Lyn McGarry of the Philippines nearly cliched the title, but settled with a first runner-up finish.
Cooking Show. Watched it and monitored the pre-pageant event. She deserved a placement. Zero credibility for this pageant. We shouldn't send delegates to this cooking show we're just wasting the beauty of our queens. FYI. They are choosing top 4 each continent then will choose only one for each group to form the top 5. Sri Lanka was chosen for the Asia continent. And become the eventual runner up. Sri Lanka is the host country.

ReplyDeleteNanalo dahil sa sri lanka ginawa e di hamak na mas maganda si thailand and Philippines. Kawawa si jennifer pwedeng pwede pa sya sa ibang mas makatarungang pageant at di nasasayang sa mapulitikang pageant na to. Isa pa diba dito rin yung nanalo miss thailand 2014 samantalang bawat continent dapat isa lang ang kukunin tapos tie pa sila ni philippines sa asia. Which is weird. Di na maganda sagot sya pa nanalo. Yun pala jowa ng may ari ng pageant. Sorry kung mukha akong bitter nakakaawa lang kasi ang magaganda nating contestant na pwede isabak sa ibang pageant pero nagiging props lang sa manlolokong pageant na to.

DeleteEh ganun din ang Pilipinas eh. Ilan naba nanalong Ms. Earth from the Philippines? Diba tayo ang host ng pageant na yan? Kundi mn nanalo, 1st runner up din ang ending. Huwag na bitter. Ginagawa din ng Pinas ang ginawa nila. Nausahan lang tayo ngayon kaya galit kayo. Chillax lng!✌🏼
