Ako din baks! In this day and age ang babae has the right to have a career, and I am absolutely supportive of that. Pero naman Leah, how can you expect Clark to be at ease given the situation when you don't even make time for him? Magsskype nga kayo, either sobrang busy ka naman or antok na. You can't spend at least 30 minutes a day na hubby and wifey time lang??? That to me is what makes her selfish. Gusto niya magka-career, okay naman yun. But hindi siya marunong mag-balance ng work and love life. Heller knowing that your husband is experiencing an inferiority complex sa boss mong sinasamba mo, na kasama niya pa in a far away land almost 24/7, diba dapat gawan mo ng way for him not to feel that way by acting like you favor your partner better? Pero James has improved more. Nadz should follow because dati naman mas okay siya kay James. Now I get it why Tonet has been praising James a lot. Before, I thought it's unfair for Nadine.

OTWOL used to be my fave show to watch, kaya lang kung san-saan na napunta yung kwento. Buti naman patapos na. Sina Tolayts at Tiffany nalang inaabangan ko eh. Haha
Sobrang refreshing yung Tolayts-Tiffany scene kanina! Yung kilig and happy vibes I got from that kanina was how I used to feel about Cleah, ngayon saksak puso na sa sobrang pagkainis ko kay Leah (and well minsan kay Clark na din)

Obvious na s mga fans and viewers ng OTWOL yan. Actually it amuses me to read the varied reactions ng fans and viewers s serye. I actually like where the story is going. Realistic ang issues ni Leah and Clark. Career, love, trust issues and etc. Parehong may hugot. Interesting kung papano maayos ang conflict nila and how they will be back in each other's arms. Yung ibang fans ksi gusto happy ending agad and walang gulo or conflict. Eh hello nmn s totoong buhay lahat ng tao may issues. Khit sabihin pang they love each other so much minsan its not enough for them to be together. Hndi lahat ng nghihiwalay dhil s third party noh. Maraming factors bkit nghihiwalay ang mgkarelasyon.
Mgnda ang gnyan hndi puro kilig lng pinapakita at least the show lets the viewers see how to be in a relationship. Sbi nga nila ang pag-aasawa ay hndi puro saya and kilig. Kdalasan struggles ang meron. Its a matter of how they handle the issues and how they keep holding on to their love to make a marriage work.
kung gusto niyo realistic walang happy ending. leah & simon are better suited for each other. si clark, to someone who can love him the same way. pinupush ng writers ang happy ending napakacontrived if these two people meet cute again, talk it over, fall back in (pabebe) love. tapos may big wedding & fade to black & roll credits... pustahan something like that will happen (or variation).
tama si tita jack.. they have to be whole as a person bago ikasal. realistic pa rin naman kung sa huli sila pa rin. may mga ganun talaga. pero gustong ending.. magdusa si leah sa desisyon nya bwahahhaha
sana parang emily-marco wedding...pwede namang church wedding sa states. private lang. no fancy stuff. tas honeymoon sa lake tahoe. tipid budget pa. the PDA weddings were really nice. ganda ng church. parang totoo. just random ideas lang. or, leah & clark meet again in SF as older and wiser adults, talk it over, magkaroon ng closure & part as friends. si leah babalik sa true love niyang si simon, and clark to his partner. that's the realistic hollywood ending which i'm sure will break the hearts of otwolistas. but for viewers who are grounded in reality, that ending makes more sense. hindi lahat ng madly in love nagkakatuluyan!

hay naku kung binigyan ni leah ng 'one night in leah' si clark di siya mag-aalburoto ng ganyan. this is the first teleserye i've watched that takes the audience for prudes. kung realistic talaga, may nangyari na sa kanila sa SF. come on, i've known people in the same situation and this otwol fantasy does NOT happen in real life.
Korek ka jan girl. Kung sa totoong buhay ganun ka pogi at kabait hubby mo hahahaha isuko na lahat lahat!! Kidding aside, baka naman meron na nangyari sa kanila di lang pinag uusapan kasi parang 'matik' na yon. Siguro di na kelangan ipakita pa na magchuchukchakan sila kasi baka may masabi nanaman mga balat sibuyas jan. Lagi naman sila nag tatabi sa pagtulog pagmagkasama sila so feeling ko meron na yun di lang hina highlight.
OA mo ha. Believe me. It can happen. Don't generalize people just coz you know if this happened to you eh bibigay ka na. Not all people think like you. May mga tao na iba. Just saying.

advice to otwolistas: don't stress out. manood na lang kayo ng past epis online. manood na lang kayo sa ' happy ending' day whatever ending it is. then, marathon na lang ng pait at siphayo afterwards. real life is stressful enough. nood muna kayo ng good vibes shows and live your lives. p.s. kung matitiis niyo lang ROTFL!!!
I am the minority here but i really hope more women prioritize career over love. Especially of bata ka pa. Financial security and stability is nothing to scoff at. You will realize this when you are already old no longer of hiring age and in need of money for a good nursing home. Si Clark naman he should realize hindi mabubuhay sa pag ibig. Does he want to live in a tenement too?
mas bagay talaga si leah and simon (in real life). in the end, stability and security ang importante. romance is great but even that fades with time. it will be replaced by a deep and secure love that doesn't solely depend on romantic gestures. sana may book 2 ang OTWOL and show these two raising a family, etc.

Sa totoo lang kampi ako kay Leah on this one. Ang hirap to be with someone who drags you down, in this case, si Clark, instead of supporting your dreams. Tama naman si Leah, hindi naman pwedeng mga dreams lang ni Clark ang matupad.
Me too but Im still annoyed by her acting insensitive about Simon. She kept on talking about how good Simon is I mean, everytime Leah and Clark talk, she always has something to say about her boss. It would be easier for Clark to accept Leah's decision if she didn't do something to make Clark feel uneasy.
Clark's only dream is a simple life to be with Leah. He has sacrificed a lot and left America to be with her. Isn't this more than enough. He is struggling to close more deals and get new clients to be able to live a life with Leah and support her family. If this is being selfish on Clark's behalf, i don't know what you can call it then. Leah, it seems obvious by now. is just an ambitious, user and selfish woman here. She is the typical, me, myself and Leah type of personality. She was allowed the first time to leave, even if she knows that Clark has bad feelings about Simon. She still wanted more and willing to sacrifice their relationship. She does not deserve someone like Clark at all. Simon and Leah should end up with each other. Two selfish people.
Clark did not leave SanFo for Leah. What brought him to PH is actually work. Granted, Leah is a big part of why he stayed in PH but he didn't stay JUST for Leah but for himself as well. If he stayed in SanFo, he'll be obliged to work several blue-collar jobs just to support his brother & sister. In the PH, he has EVERYTHING he wants -his family and booming business is here. The only real tie he has to SanFo is his father who doesn't acknowledge him and maybe his work friends who are also incidentally Filipinos and most likely will visit PH every now and then. Where's the sacrifice in that?
There is nothing wrong with Clark's dreams for a simple life with his family. Thing is, he chose to love an ambitious woman. He was aware from the start that Leah's a dreamer and a woman willing to sacrifice her then lover Jigs to pursue her American dream. With that, Clark said that he was not going to be like Jigs and will support her all the way. But fast forward months later, this support is only available if not at the expense of his pride/ego as the man who is supposed to provide for his wife. His issue regarding Leah wanting to contribute to their house's downpayment is further proof of this. His real issue isn't that Leah wants more in life but his insecurities eating him up since he apparently feels that he cannot measure up to someone like Simon. His jealousy is normal since he knows that Simon likes Leah but taking everything into consideration, bottom line is he's just insecure and dare I say clingy.
I also disagree that Leah is selfish. Not everything is about her, otherwise, she would have just walked the easier path. She would have gotten that loan from Nanang and help from Clark. But she is thinking of Brent whom Nanang needs to support and the pressure on Clark to earn so much money. That would have been an easy out for her. She would have stayed with the person and family she loved, not need to work in a foreign country again and worry for everyone else at home. What is more selfless than a woman willing to sacrifice her personal happiness for her family's sake? Is her leaving less of a sacrifice just coz of Simon and the job being in line with her own ambitions?
The only problem with Leah is that she doesn't share her burdens and in uncomfortable with asking for help even from the people closest to her. Someone said she has a 'messiahnic' complex and I've to agree. She is also stubborn to a fault and doesn't listen to a lot of people. She also doesn't think about 'reputation' or what other people will say about her. She also expects other people to just understand her pov without explaining. For someone whose work is all about communication, she certainly lacks of it in her personal life.
Two things make people root so much for Clark and hate on Leah 1) Jadine's excellent portrayal of their characters and 2) The writers making 'Clark, the inhumanly perfect and understanding hubby'and 'Leah, the bringer of all problems/bad luck/issues in marriage' for months on end. The writers barely developed Clark's character and conditioned people to just adore him while they nitpicked on every aspect of Leah's life.
Why don't people understand that it's a character, and not Nadine? Even Nadine said in an interview that reading the script frustrates her because Leah is so annoying? People should know to separate the character from the actress.
Kung magaling si Nadine umarte, eh di sana talagang torn between Leah and Clark ang mga tao. Hindi sila magaaway ng ganyan, kundi maiiyak na lang dahil hindi nila alam kung sino ang tama.
Kaso hindi magaling umarte si Nadine. Kaya ang lahat ng awa nakay Clark. Gumagaling na nga sa pag-arte si James.
Nadine, artista ka. You are bound to have tv or movie roles. so please, study your scripts beforehand and internalize. Wag umasa palagi sa line thrower mo. Wag magrely masyado sa mga idiot boards, walking or otherwise. Professional dapat.
sana umeffort ng todo si james sa pananagalog. it would be such a treat to watch him with no accent at matigas na ang bigkas, hindi malamya. di sinasadyang natatawa ako kahit drama na eh. learn from charlize theron! di mo malalamang south african sa galing niya mag-ingles. and she learned in a VERY short time dahil pursigido siya.

Kidding aside, baka naman meron na nangyari sa kanila di lang pinag uusapan kasi parang 'matik' na yon. Siguro di na kelangan ipakita pa na magchuchukchakan sila kasi baka may masabi nanaman mga balat sibuyas jan. Lagi naman sila nag tatabi sa pagtulog pagmagkasama sila so feeling ko meron na yun di lang hina highlight.

I am the minority here but i really hope more women prioritize career over love. Especially of bata ka pa. Financial security and stability is nothing to scoff at. You will realize this when you are already old no longer of hiring age and in need of money for a good nursing home. Si Clark naman he should realize hindi mabubuhay sa pag ibig. Does he want to live in a tenement too?
ReplyDeletemas bagay talaga si leah and simon (in real life). in the end, stability and security ang importante. romance is great but even that fades with time. it will be replaced by a deep and secure love that doesn't solely depend on romantic gestures. sana may book 2 ang OTWOL and show these two raising a family, etc.

She kept on talking about how good Simon is I mean, everytime Leah and Clark talk, she always has something to say about her boss. It would be easier for Clark to accept Leah's decision if she didn't do something to make Clark feel uneasy.

He is struggling to close more deals and get new clients to be able to live a life with Leah and support her family. If this is being selfish on Clark's behalf, i don't know what you can call it then. Leah, it seems obvious by now. is just an ambitious, user and selfish woman here. She is the typical, me, myself and Leah type of personality. She was allowed the first time to leave, even if she knows that Clark has bad feelings about Simon. She still wanted more and willing to sacrifice their relationship. She does not deserve someone like Clark at all. Simon and Leah should end up with each other. Two selfish people.

DeleteClark did not leave SanFo for Leah. What brought him to PH is actually work. Granted, Leah is a big part of why he stayed in PH but he didn't stay JUST for Leah but for himself as well. If he stayed in SanFo, he'll be obliged to work several blue-collar jobs just to support his brother & sister. In the PH, he has EVERYTHING he wants -his family and booming business is here. The only real tie he has to SanFo is his father who doesn't acknowledge him and maybe his work friends who are also incidentally Filipinos and most likely will visit PH every now and then. Where's the sacrifice in that?
DeleteThere is nothing wrong with Clark's dreams for a simple life with his family. Thing is, he chose to love an ambitious woman. He was aware from the start that Leah's a dreamer and a woman willing to sacrifice her then lover Jigs to pursue her American dream. With that, Clark said that he was not going to be like Jigs and will support her all the way. But fast forward months later, this support is only available if not at the expense of his pride/ego as the man who is supposed to provide for his wife. His issue regarding Leah wanting to contribute to their house's downpayment is further proof of this. His real issue isn't that Leah wants more in life but his insecurities eating him up since he apparently feels that he cannot measure up to someone like Simon. His jealousy is normal since he knows that Simon likes Leah but taking everything into consideration, bottom line is he's just insecure and dare I say clingy.
I also disagree that Leah is selfish. Not everything is about her, otherwise, she would have just walked the easier path. She would have gotten that loan from Nanang and help from Clark. But she is thinking of Brent whom Nanang needs to support and the pressure on Clark to earn so much money. That would have been an easy out for her. She would have stayed with the person and family she loved, not need to work in a foreign country again and worry for everyone else at home. What is more selfless than a woman willing to sacrifice her personal happiness for her family's sake? Is her leaving less of a sacrifice just coz of Simon and the job being in line with her own ambitions?
The only problem with Leah is that she doesn't share her burdens and in uncomfortable with asking for help even from the people closest to her. Someone said she has a 'messiahnic' complex and I've to agree. She is also stubborn to a fault and doesn't listen to a lot of people. She also doesn't think about 'reputation' or what other people will say about her. She also expects other people to just understand her pov without explaining. For someone whose work is all about communication, she certainly lacks of it in her personal life.
Two things make people root so much for Clark and hate on Leah 1) Jadine's excellent portrayal of their characters and 2) The writers making 'Clark, the inhumanly perfect and understanding hubby'and 'Leah, the bringer of all problems/bad luck/issues in marriage' for months on end. The writers barely developed Clark's character and conditioned people to just adore him while they nitpicked on every aspect of Leah's life.
This is about OTWOL and its viewers.

Kaso hindi magaling umarte si Nadine. Kaya ang lahat ng awa nakay Clark. Gumagaling na nga sa pag-arte si James.
Nadine, artista ka. You are bound to have tv or movie roles. so please, study your scripts beforehand and internalize. Wag umasa palagi sa line thrower mo. Wag magrely masyado sa mga idiot boards, walking or otherwise. Professional dapat.
sana umeffort ng todo si james sa pananagalog. it would be such a treat to watch him with no accent at matigas na ang bigkas, hindi malamya. di sinasadyang natatawa ako kahit drama na eh. learn from charlize theron! di mo malalamang south african sa galing niya mag-ingles. and she learned in a VERY short time dahil pursigido siya.
