Idk if may mga ganitong guesting din ang previous Miss U winners but I think mas may interest sa kanya sa conventional media dahil nga sa nangyari so may nakukuha siya na mga ganitong projects. And yeah it helps na magaling siya mag english kaya kinukuha sya for these things too.

FYI... Go Red for Women is a charity for the American Heart Society. You migh wanna google it. It helps women who are suffering from heart diseases and prevention. Therefore, Pia is raising awareness. You can also donate by clicking Pia's photo on their website. :)
I think we need to research more on what the role and job of Miss Universe is.
If one wants to raise awareness, you need to be out there, in the spotlight, in events that have media exposure and get the right sponsors, press releases, etc. You also make appearances to comfort and provide some joy. You go around the country to clubs, orgs and groups to give awareness talks.
Winning a beauty contest doesn't automatically make her relatable or known to everyone, thats why the management team also needs to put her out there, give her the right exposure, so that more people know her and will pay attention when she advocates their causes and asks for support.
It's a event to raise awareness on heart diseases and also a fundraiser. So pasok pa din sya dun sa mga advocacies chenes na hinahanap nyo. It's not just a modelling gig.
Salamat pala baks sa dagdag kaalaman na bagong owners ng Miss U. Yan nga siguro dahilan bakit parang maraming ganap si Pia na high profile hollywood/US events. Swerte talaga ni Pia at magandang timing ang pagkapanalo niya. Salamat na din sa publicity Steve Harvey! Lelz
