I salute Alden for doing this. Alam ko every year nyang ginagawa ito. Naglorify lang masyado na para sa akin nakakaturn off kasi nawawala sincerity. Turned off not at him though because I know how pure ang how giving his heart is. Yung management nya ang nag glorify. Kating kati kasi mapagusapan.
Alden has always been a quiet philanthropist and I find that most endearing about him. But GMA, ano ba?! Alam nyong madami nang bashers si Alden, and glorifying his outreach program just gives his haters ammunition to say promo/pakitang tao. Real charity work is done in silence without lights and call for recognition. Naging showbiz.

I'm not into the whole Aldub craze or KS. I get annoyed by all the yelling in KS, but I like Alden. He seems like a good guy. Grabe naman ibang fantards ang pagka possessive. And that goes for all loveteam actually. Some just borders on being wackos LOL.
I think this selfish behavior is from those who do not yet understand the impact that EB/ Juan for All / KS is making towards social relevance. Instead of being encouraged to do the same (as some ADN groups who have been involved in projects worldwide) they see other activities of the people in the show as competition from their daily dose of kilig. They should understand that with the show's influence to do good, to take core of those in our society who have needs we can fill, give hope,this group of artists can bring about changes without being political - having fun, doing good, being true to our values.

I remember my college thesis, we did it at Aeta communities din. Nakakaawa mga katutubong iyan super na displaced talaga sila after the Pinatubo eruption.
And people who take the time to travel far (when they could be resting) and make them happy should be encouraged, not bashed by those who have no idea what the Aetas' daily existence is like and have no desire to do the same.

If you watched his interview in 24 Oras, you'll be left in no doubt that he really would want the Filipino people to notice, not for self-gratification but so that the people who have watched the clips or learned about his project would extend help to the aetas of pinatubo. If people would just stop finding faults and being overly critical of people doing good deeds, you will notice that ALDEN is really calling for public awareness because he knew that the aetas need all the help they could get from the public. Imagine being relocated in a very remote area that would require how many hours to reach, so napag-iwan na needs nila. So instead of bashing ALDEN, maybe you can think of ways to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
Wow! Alden was allowed to take pics? When we did outreach with the Aetas we were given instructions not to post pics. Same goes with NGO shelters. To be honest, our group really keep the act and memories to ourselves. I wonder why artists keep on posting pics of their charity ativities. Even the Bible says not to brag. Sorry but I find this not appealing.

Super nakakatuwa na they have a chance to share their blessings to others because they are indeed blessed. Kaya lang I find it off kase sa mga artista na dapat may media coverage pag may gantong event. Anlakas maka trapo, anlakas maka pulitiko. #justsayin

If you watched his interview in 24 Oras, you'll be left in no doubt that he really would want the Filipino people to notice, not for self-gratification but so that the people who have watched the clips or learned about his project would extend help to the aetas of pinatubo. If people would just stop finding faults and being overly critical of people doing good deeds, you will notice that ALDEN is really calling for public awareness because he knew that the aetas need all the help they could get from the public. Imagine being relocated in a very remote area that would require how many hours to reach, so napag-iwan na needs nila. So instead of bashing ALDEN, maybe you can think of ways to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
ReplyDeleteWow! Alden was allowed to take pics? When we did outreach with the Aetas we were given instructions not to post pics. Same goes with NGO shelters. To be honest, our group really keep the act and memories to ourselves. I wonder why artists keep on posting pics of their charity ativities. Even the Bible says not to brag. Sorry but I find this not appealing.

Alam niyo ba ang impact ng isang celebrity to call an attention for a cause katulad noong araw ni Princess Diana? Ibig sabihin insincere din si Princess Di? Sana di puro network war at artista intindihin niyo, lawakan ang pag iisip baka makatulong din kayo and be able to pay it forward.
