Nobody even comforted her. When you are with different nationalities talaga maiisip at mararamdaman mong walang totoong magiging proud sayo 100% kung di mga kababayan mo lang. You all got our backs, Pia.
Ah, poor girl. She should have been happily waving and walking to the crowd. I think she cried due to the undeserved rudeness of the other candidates. Yes, some comforted the loser first, but others on stage were chanting Colombia. How's that as behavior, not even thinking that they were openly hostile to the real winner.
I understand that because of the mistake, Miss Colombia was embarrassed in front of millions. Still, Pia doesn't deserve the hate she's getting. Pia was the bigger victim. She worked so hard for this. She was robbed of her moment. I feel so bad for her. She deserved that moment where she is crowned and everyone's attention is on her. She deserved that moment where she does her first walk as Miss Universe. She never got her moment. And now Columbians and Latinas are bashing her as if it was her fault that Colombia didn't win. It was a mistake in the announcement but it was very clear who the winner was. My heart goes out to this fine lady. I am hoping she will have a great reign to compensate for all that she has experienced as a result of the coronation night.
