And another thing, most Teleseryes have revival theme songs when most original songs are being made OSTs for Koreanovelas. SMH..
No Erase is a good song because of the beat, melody, and the composers. When it comes to studio recording ok kasi magaling mag-arrange ng songs sila Thyro at Yumi. Pero pag kinanta na ng live maganda pa rin ba if pakikinggan mo ang mga kumanta? However, I'm not a Jadine hater FYI. Just saying my opinion.
nakakahiya yung magcoconcert ang isang mahusay na artist tapos guest isang sintunado at mag du duet pa sila as to mock the validity of authentic music. nowhere else in the world but in the philippines does this happen. such as shame dahil we always claim that the best singers in the world are from the philippines.
Originality? I like Gary V. but he's hardly original. I mean... almost all Filipino singers... including Mr. Gary V. remake songs that have been popular from way back then.
The problem with some singers is that they think just because they have the voice/talent that they can become popular etc. and that people should automatically love/support them because they have the talent. Heck No. If I don't find your kind of music good to listen to... I won't bother listening to it... no matter how much others think you're "talented."
Maybe these so-called "untalented singers/artists are not as horrible as you people think... especially if majority of people are willing to shell out their money. I doubt people will blindly buy a cd that sounds like a screeching cat. Maybe they don't sound so bad. Maybe most people can relate to the lyrics of the songs they are listening to. Etc.

Wag maisali si Regine dito ng iba ha. There was a time na siya na lang bumubuhay sa OPM because people were so busy patronizing foreign artists. It's not like Regine did not release MORE albums with original songs in her prime than covers which are iconic in themselves. Yun nga lang, not everybody can be a Regine Velasquez na lahat ng material na ilabas eh bumebenta at may loyal fanbase sa mahabang panahon. Everybody has got to make their own mark. Regine made her mark and became a legend by pioneering powerful singing in the country while tackiling contemporary pop and ballad. And up to this day, Regine is very supportive of OPM. You cannot fault her for anything nor blame her for the trend of non-singers because she's the total opposite of that. She sing her heart out 100% live. No playback, no lipsyncing, no excuses.

DeleteYou are a hypocrite to the highest level! Remember when Steven Curtis Chapman, the original singer/ composer of "I WILL BE HERE", visited and sang with you love in ASAP? He was obviously dumbfounded at the nerve you had to sing your own version with him playing the guitar!! You sang it as if it was your own song!!!! You should have at least showed him the respect by singing his original version!!!

And by the way, he's been in the entertainment industry for decades but the guy has only one dance style that is stuck in the 80s.

And another thing, most Teleseryes have revival theme songs when most original songs are being made OSTs for Koreanovelas. SMH..
No Erase is a good song because of the beat, melody, and the composers. When it comes to studio recording ok kasi magaling mag-arrange ng songs sila Thyro at Yumi. Pero pag kinanta na ng live maganda pa rin ba if pakikinggan mo ang mga kumanta? However, I'm not a Jadine hater FYI. Just saying my opinion.
Deletenakakahiya yung magcoconcert ang isang mahusay na artist tapos guest isang sintunado at mag du duet pa sila as to mock the validity of authentic music. nowhere else in the world but in the philippines does this happen. such as shame dahil we always claim that the best singers in the world are from the philippines.
ReplyDeleteOriginality? I like Gary V. but he's hardly original. I mean... almost all Filipino singers... including Mr. Gary V. remake songs that have been popular from way back then.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with some singers is that they think just because they have the voice/talent that they can become popular etc. and that people should automatically love/support them because they have the talent. Heck No. If I don't find your kind of music good to listen to... I won't bother listening to it... no matter how much others think you're "talented."
Maybe these so-called "untalented singers/artists are not as horrible as you people think... especially if majority of people are willing to shell out their money. I doubt people will blindly buy a cd that sounds like a screeching cat. Maybe they don't sound so bad. Maybe most people can relate to the lyrics of the songs they are listening to. Etc.
marami pa naman nag-ooriginal songs. i think sarah g's last 2 albums are all new & original songs. i think yung comment niya was after his support for rhap salazar who made a comment about artists given albums tapos pag pinakanta lip sync while there are real singers struggling to have an album.

ReplyDeleteWag maisali si Regine dito ng iba ha. There was a time na siya na lang bumubuhay sa OPM because people were so busy patronizing foreign artists. It's not like Regine did not release MORE albums with original songs in her prime than covers which are iconic in themselves. Yun nga lang, not everybody can be a Regine Velasquez na lahat ng material na ilabas eh bumebenta at may loyal fanbase sa mahabang panahon. Everybody has got to make their own mark. Regine made her mark and became a legend by pioneering powerful singing in the country while tackiling contemporary pop and ballad. And up to this day, Regine is very supportive of OPM. You cannot fault her for anything nor blame her for the trend of non-singers because she's the total opposite of that. She sing her heart out 100% live. No playback, no lipsyncing, no excuses.

ReplyDeleteDati people based their jobs on the things they do best. Now kahit ano pwede ng gawin basta pakapalan lang ng apog at mukha sa mga singers na di makakanta. Kapalan naman ng tenga at sikmura para sa mga taong gandang-ganda sa boses nila. Kanta pa mga tsong! Kinig pa kayo more.
