Delikadesa please!

    1. Mahihiya na ang mga Legit singers na walang fez value dahil admit it or not ang mga magagandang boses natin dito e generic ng mga kaloka like ni Rhap sa mga guys at Aiza sa mga girls....

    2. As if these celebs really really? Care abt their fantards! That's why they're called fans short for fanatics! Rhymes with lunatics! These are their cash cows and so they pretend to be nice to them.... Fallibles and GULLIBLES

    4. Supply and demand yan.

    2. I really like that this issue is being talked about now. Legit singers or their camp ay tumatapang na. Good for them. Otherwise talo sila, lalamunin sila ng mga wannabees whose only talent is to claim that dreams do come true or hindi mahiya, or in short maging makapal?

      Delete
    3. asus ayun naman pala, accepted naman ninyo na they are the ones creating the income as of this moment! so anong pinaglalaban teh? kung gustong icategorized ang mga nonsingers as novelty then go! so sa ngayon i could say na mas kumikita ang mga novelty songs as against the songs of the so called legit singers! period!

    6. It's so sensible for me that it probably sums up all my comments and rebuttals on previous posts. I really hope the industry-movers give time to identify plausible solutions for this concern. Sa totoo lang, it will take a considerable compromise among record labels especially that the front-runners are owned by TV stations (except for some).

I am not fully aware if these labels are regulated by a particular governing body but I hope they form one among all labels and benchmark local music landscape of other countries. The business model may probably be different but I am sure they can tweak it for local adaptation. Kung kami ngang nasa provate sector, nag-bebenchmark for continuous improvement to attain best-in-class status. Hindi na sapat ngayon ang nagsasarili. Collaboration for societal contribution matters and allows one to go a long way.

    7. I disagree, her post smacks bitterness and has conflict of interest. Instead of complaining, concentrate on making better music than the so called non singers, OPM is dying not because of the lack of good singers but because they continue to churn out same old cliches. Beat the competition with better quality of music instead of claiming you're a better singer than someone else.

      Delete
If your problem is that the producers would rather invest on non-singers, it's business dear. It's the sad truth. Music industry is business. Sa dami ng problema ng bansa, some people just want to listen to non-singers and feel good about it. Masama ba un? Discretion ng buyers yan. Some comments are meant to be offensive na sa mga non-singers na nagtatrabaho din lang nmn.

      Delete
Pero these legit singers should also step up their game.

      Delete
#satotoolang

    13. AGREE 130 Aside from talent & decent appeal, critical ang machinery (e.g., ABS on top of Viva) that helps her showcase her talent, hype her up, and further build her brand equity. So crucial ang 3rd one, talent and appeal won't be showcased if you are not supported by the platform. Hence, malaki ang role ng networks. Unfortunately, they own major record labels so their non-singers get the biggest piece of favor. For their gains of course. Kebs sa ibang may full talent basta kumikita ako sa artists ko, defeating their role for the greater good. Kahit man lang sana support funding sa indie artists with decent tv support for exposure. Parang sa big companies lang yan with funding for budding entrepreneurs & start-ups.

Same goes to you my dear, isn't it the norm na man and woman marry and start a family???pero you broke against the norm dalawa kayong babae nagpakasal...so dapat ba kaming mga tunay na lalake at babae magalit?should we begrudge you of your right???diba sabi mo singer lang dapat may album kasi singer sila yung hindi wag na...so sasabihin namin lalake at babae lang mag-asawa dapat kayo ni aiza wag na??kasi the way you say it parang your putting something in a box eh na dapat yun lang...non-singers=no abums woman+woman=no marriage...ganun?????

    2. And your point? No one is trying to call it a quality movie. No one is trying to stop people from producing good movies. Etc. So what if people want to watch a show just for the sake of being entertained? For the sake of laughing? It's not called dumb. Not everyone is into watching movies for the sake of analyzing the whole purpose of the movie; etc.

What these people forget is that movies/songs/etc. are created for the purpose of entertaining and if they are entertaining; people will support it. Now, these people bitching about this situation etc. instead of bitching... they need to create better movies/better songs/be more entertaining/etc. which the public will want to buy/support.

The problem with some local movie directors etc. is that they think they are creating quality movies but they have rarely captured what the public really cares for. The problem with some singers is that they think they have the talent but then they may not be likeable, they might be singing songs which people don't really care for, etc.

Or kpag bumili ako ng album ni Enchong ibig sabihin b nun I disrespect Aiza? Mali nman ata yun. Magulo at mapulitika ang showbiz in general.

Mas nakakahiya lang na ginagawa nyo un out of money. Yes I know business is business, pero may iba naman silang ginagawa like movies, teleseryes, bakit kakanta pa? Respeto na lang, diba?

    1. Please that is not true... People in the U.S. constantly say Madonna is not a real singer... but guess what? Her albums were always sold out. She became iconic. Etc. You know why? It's not just talent that makes you popular... It's the ability to "amp it up." The ability to make something that people will support. The ability to make people want to support you. The ability to make people want to listen to you and support your concerts. Etc. Talent means nothing without all those ability. Period.

Maybe you think you are "talented." Maybe you think you're "capable." But then... maybe it's just you who thinks you're capable. It's just you who think you have the talent... and maybe to the public you are just "meh... nothing beyond better... nothing entertaining..." In the end... If you are really talented... No one would be able to stop your talent from sipping through and people recognizing your talent. Period.

  45. Dear Liza Dino,
Haven't you heard of "to each his own"???you have very strong words for someone who wants equality and freedom😁so you mean because an entertainer is not a legit singer he/she should not make the fans happy and give in to the clamor for albums???you would begrudge an artist and his fans their right just because he can't hit high notes???for someone who is on a same sex relationship/marriage which is not "yet" the norm and calling for freedom to love you are an irony...you want the freedom to love but can't give others the freedom to be mababaw happy... So you're saying only singers can have albums because that's how it should be, so it's safe to say only man and woman can get married cause that's how it should be..?you're fighting for something that is so out of the norm for the majority(and people support you) but fighting against something that is just slightly out of the box...maliit na bagay o malaki it always boils down to respect and let others live the way they want..kanya kanyang trip lang yan...gusto mo freedom pero aalisan mo iba ng freedom nila...gusto mo equality pero dinidiscriminate mo ung wala gaanong magandang boses...ayaw mong ma-judge pero hinuhusgahan mo mga fans...

  47. A very well thought of opinion and i agree to everything. May gusto lang akong i add...

Ang daming netizens ang nakiambag ng opinion at naglabas ng saloobin but how many percent of these even really buy albums or legally download albums and singles these days?

Apart from the so called non artists, there are albums from legit singers also out there in the last couple of years that I dont need to mention but do not get the support from the public. So far, guilty ang majority sa atin wanting to see them sing their hearts out on tv but do not tangibly support their work.

Fact is, majority of those who buy non singers' records are teens... So what do the late 20's and older do?

    Just my thoughts.

  52. Exactly. It's the obligation of ABS & Viva to produce music that would uplift OPM. Spell GREED. Imagine, if you define OPM today, it is the music sung by talentless artistas who either lip-sync or sing off-key or both. And these talentless people get the awards and the concerts. What a sorry state!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ugh. Is this issue ever gonna stop? I get her point. Pero by non singers making albums is NOT taking anything away from "real" singers. I don't think the state of the music industry will be a lot different if nobody else sings and makes albums but only the "real" singers. I find her and others' sentiments a little selfish. Parang dictatorialship ang dating sa akin. "People's support and money should ONLY go to "real" artists. Don't support non singers AT ALL." Who are we to tell people what to do with their own money?

Personally, I've never even heard of any songs from the real non singers. I don't have TFC and I don't choose to watch variety shows if I'm around it! I find it all too corny. Lol. Pero I don't fault people for liking it. To each his own.

    1. Yeah, good point. Existence of albums from non-singers did not lessen the sales of valid singers. Either you keep the industry dead or try to save it by adjusting to the demand. They are good and people loved them....unfortunately, that is not the same for all people who can sing.

      Delete
    2. She's encouraging everyone nga to find solution eh about these problems. Ang point nya ay bumababa ang level of artistry ng music industry because of these non singers, record labels and producers. Hindi sya nagdidictate on how are going to spend our money.

One more thing ate, obviously Filipino ka, pwede kang magtagalog. Basahin mo ang second and third sentences mo. :)

    1. Because she has talent, decent appeal, and machinery (ABS on top of Vivacious) that helps her showcase her talent, hype her up, and further build her brand equity. Kahit man lang sana support funding sa indie artists with tv support for exposure. Parang sa big companies lang yan with funding for budding entrepreneurs & start-ups.

At the end of the day, sobrang dami nating singers pero di naman sila marunong gumawa ng music. What we are missing are the likes of Bamboo, E-heads, Rey Valera, even VST and Co. who make good music. Like sa US, Bob Dylan, Katy Perry or Taylor Swift are not fantastic singers but they create their own music which appeals to the people.

    1. Tama...we dont need people who can sing...we need people who can make good songs and who can engage audience and fans. Nasasayang ang skill kasi kulang sa material.

    2. At least Taylor Swift writes and composes her own music. Katy Perry obviously works hard too for every performance at singers naman talaga sila to start with.

Puro covers na yung iba each and every week.

Ganoon sa ibang bansa, sisikat ba si Ed Sheeran, Adele, or John Legend just by their voice and looks kung wala sila magandang kanta?
