That basher (who is obviously Pinay) is right on two things: 1. We need to fix our government and 2. Marami tayong grammar Nazi talaga kasi totoo naman na okay na sa mga native English-speakers na wrong and incoherent sentences mo as long as may keywords naman.
Bianca's friend is wrong in a way in assuming that Spanish is not a universally-spoken language because it is actually the 3rd most-spoken language in the world. Even Filipino words are derived from Spanish.
Back to the main point, medyo showbiz nga ang answer ni Ating but keri lang din. Mas mabuti na rin kaysa naman palengkerang answer edi mas lalong nagbunyi si basher.
I think walang ibang gusto si basher kundi ipahiya si Bianca. Baka natalo nya yan sa competition at hanggang ngayon ay di naka move-on.
As a linguistics student, I'd just like to point out that correcting grammar is not being a grammar Nazi. The rules of grammar apply because speakers have to learn how to use it correctly, in order for our speech to make sense.
However, you are right that grammars are not normally adhered to in conversation just because grammar rules are sometimes too strict, therefore as speakers, we find other ways to be creative and thus we break grammar rules. In the realm of the internet, however, people who engage in word wars with other people yet whose spelling does not adhere to the rules of grammar are declared incompetent, and therefore their credibility becomes diminished.
Thirdly, while Spanish may be one of the most spoken languages in the world, it is not the lingua franca, this being the language that is the key language that most speakers do speak as their first language and the language of business. Just like French is the lingua franca for law, so too is English the lingua franca of the world. I'm not saying that other languages are inferior, but that English just happened to be the language that people use/learn to connect. This may be because of the effects of the British Empire.
I also disagree with the showbiz answer. I think she was just trying to control her temper and not say anything that would diminish her status.

Obviously a Pinoy basher. Like someone from Puerto Rico would know our political climate. I pity Bianca's friends because they were too stupid to fall for that. While I understand they were trying to protect their friend, they stooped down to the basher's level and that doesn't make them better.
