Hi, Ekaterina. Apparently, you have not seen (or your standard for beauty has not evolved and time-warped in the Spanish colonial times) her photos taken during her younger years. I'm not particularly her fan either. Only did I take notice of her and started browsing her pictures taken during her younger years when CNN featured a special on her. She was (and, in the eyes of her fans, she will always be) pretty.
A NATIONAL ARTIST should not be a INTERNATION HEADLINE on drugs. Collection? O pang tawas? If you are not guilty, why you let yourself in rehab for nothing. I adore Nora but sometimes, we can do wrong moves that may affect our lives. So lets give way sa ibang talentadong pinoy na pwede sa award, mahaba pa naman ang panahon, malay natin may ibang award para saknya na mas karapatdapat. Wag magpaka negative, lets face the truth. Wag maging pilipinong tanga.
Now let us be realistic. I would rather have someone that was able to stood up for her mistakes. And again, National ARTIST ito, not National Hero. We should not attack the person, rather assess her contributions because that is the ART.
People make mistakes that's life and Nora was cleared of all charges. She is one of the bests in the country I just understand the president 's reasoning.
Nora Aunor doe snto deserve to be national artist anyway. I dont understand the fuzz about her. She has made no major ground-breaking contribution to the entertainment industry. If she can be national artist, then why not Vilma Santos, Sharon Cuneta and Maricel Soriano? They are equally as talented as Nora Aunor. There are more directors that deserve to be national artist.
Nora has the biggest contribution in phil.showbizness, her works of art can not be surpass or not even equal by anybody. Her unparrallel acting prowers is one of a kind, praised not only here but even globaly which those 3 actresses can't duplicated. She is the most deserving to that coveted awards and nobody else
I agree with PNOY here. National artist should be a role model. True - NORAS was never convicted because of "areglo" and shes being caught having possessions of drug paraphernalia means you're using it. Everybody knows thats its prohibited in US and yet she's still did. You IDOLIZED nora - fine! You should Idolized JESUS Christ instead.
Even nora is not pretty but lets admit shes talented only one of a kind in showbiz who has that acting calibre so i support nora too

DeleteNora is one of the few legitimate actors in the industry who can really act. Her acting is incomparable.

ReplyDeletePati itong si Mark sumasabit sa issue. Move on na, mag lobby na lang kayo sa next President in 2016 na bigyan si Nora ng National Artist Award.
