Pano ka ba naman kasi hindi maaasar sa mga self-proclaimed 'food bloggers' kuno na ginagamit lang ang status nila to ask for freebies? Tapos gagawa sila ng reviews na hindi mo naman mapagkakatiwalaan kasi nga they are indebted na to the resto or manufacturer of the product, hence, biased na ung opinions nila. Nakakairita.
Magrregister ako for free sa dinamidami ng sites for blogs. Tag myself as a "food blogger" & go around town proclaiming myself as one with no credibility whatsoever. Even if he's a mediocre "food blogger" as some of you say (I don't read food blogs in general coz they all annoy the heck out of me) these other "food bloggers" don't have the right to ask for free meals. Even proper food critics all over the world don't ask for "comps" (complimentary) meals so that they be served the usual fare that's preapred for all guests.
Its true na man eh. In the resto where i manage, naku, ang daming pumupunta and nagsSasbi na im the blogger of this and that, in short, asking for a free meal.
12:12 AM, tama! The better bloggers are the ones who don't need to introduce themselves. They have a following and establish credibility because of the unbiased reviews that they write, which I can't say about 'bloggers' who ask for freebies.
Erwann has a point in the context of other bloggers entering a restaurant then demanding extra goodies or free food. There really are some bloggers out there who, upon entering the restaurant, demand to talk to the manager, begin introducing their blog, then ask for free stuff.
The biggest problem is that because of some of these people, bloggers now are branded as such, when in honesty, not all of them are like this.
i really love reading fashion and food blogs pero NO OFFENSE karamihan sa mga blogger parang p.g. nag aabang ng freebies naku kahit hindi kilala ang blog kung makapag assume tsaka makita lang ang blog sa google maka asta kala sino na hmmmf
Ung iba nman kc abosado... kakahiya kaya humingi ng libreng food and besides kng reputable food blogger k... the chefs or restau shud do d invite. Nkakahiya!
His opinion as a business owner matters. Hanap buhay yan. Samantala yun libre busog.
I was curious about this guy when he said that he was a food blogger so I watched one of his videos. He was making a chicken dish, he cut the raw chicken on a chopping block, grilled it and used the same chopping block for slicing the grilled chicken and the fruit/vegetable that went to garnish the dish. YUCK. I don't expect him to be a trained chef pero food blogger ka dong, which means you have some sort of expertise when it comes to food, apparently di kasama dun ang safe handling ng pagkain. Hay if you ask me, I think nakiki-ride on lang ito sa kasikatan ng gf nya which gives him a false sense na his opinion matters!!! Kebs!
NAKAKAHIYA diba? May point sya.
Question is, is he a good and credible food blogger in the first place?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: yes
DeleteAnswer is, NO.

DeletePak na pak teh. :)))
DeleteActually, may resto na si Erwan. Hindi niya kailangang magpabili sa girlfriend niya.
DeleteWell then the girlfriend could buy that restaurant, including the staffs and their friends lol!!!

ReplyDeletetrue!!!!
Deleteoy me narereklamong freeloader food blogger oh
DeleteHis opinion as a business owner matters. Hanap buhay yan. DeleteAng tanong 12:57am, does YOUR opinion matter din ba?
DeleteHe is just stating his opinion...he doesnt need your opinion either.
Deleteanon 12:57 Kung "his opinion does not matter, eh, bakit nag-aksaya ka ng time na maki-sagot sa comment niya. Ang haba kaya ng thread na ito.
DeleteTama 12:57

ReplyDeleteIn other words he is more style than substance. Ay Ehwan.
DeleteSLAP ON THE RIGHT CHEEK, SLAP ON THE LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree. The service is pretty lousy. Then prices are kinda steep for so-so food. The interiors mimics Margarita's Grace
DeleteThey think na kasi na they know everything na porke't HALF-BLOOD sila. Hello!
DeleteMas masarap pa yata magluto si Solenn
DeleteTama. Mahal mahal ng pagkain yung hot sauce nila Mother's best.
DeleteSus binida pa si solenn haha

ReplyDeleteFood blogger o hindi, magaling man si Erwan o sablay, sikat man sya o hindi; nakakahiya naman talagang mag-demand ng libreng food para lang i-feature sa blog. Delicadeza naman! ReplyDeleteTrue. He's just being straightforward.
ReplyDeleteBut the bigger question is...doesn't he bat for the other team? His bi**hiness, his voice, his way of speaking, his malumanay gestures...
ReplyDeletehe is right. "free" colors your objectivity. masakit lang sa mata yung tweet niya. i want to buy him some apostrophes.
ReplyDeleteNAME NAMES, Chef.
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't like it if we tweeted this, right?
"I don't know why so many Celebrity Chefs are overrated..."
NAME NAMES, Chef Erwann.
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't like it if we just tweeted this, right?
"Cocky Celebrity Chefs are overrated...."
Maybe this is his way of diverting the issues(s) away from his girlfriend.
