Comments here are actually filtered by the author unlike in other online sites wherein comments are instantly published. There are no curse words here. So if you think the statements here are hideous then I wonder if you are aware of other showbiz, online news or even social media sites, and the comments and posts there. And on the contrary, I find that people speaking out about a topic or action, political or not is rather proactive rather than just accepting certain issues or actions.
After all, hideous actions warrant consequences, comments are the least consequence I think.
So if you can't take criticism I suggest that you be careful before you open your mouth, post your thoughts in a very public way.

ReplyDeleteKc. you are a celebrity (?), obviously, your pictures will be seen, used or even PHOTOSHOPPED.. if you don't want your photos be used, then hide your IG and create your own followers. in that way, walang gagamit ng pics mo.. nahiya naman ang ibang celebs na mas famous sayo but never complained of their photos being used... maraming nagssave ng photos ng celeb and probably one of them is you, pero how would you know, iisa isahin mo ba ang mga tao para malaman kung ninakaw ang pic mo? haler..
ReplyDeleteWhether he is a celebrity is irrelevant. The fact remains that he owns copyright to photos he posted on Instagram (pakibasa ang Instagram TOS). If someone uses his photos, modifies them, and reposts them without attribution and permission, they are doing so illegally.
DeleteHindi sya papansin. It's his property. Philstar is a broadsheet and they know legally they can be sued by KC for stealing his picture. Public man ang account nya o hindi, Philstar should have asked permission still. Kayo kaya, one day you'll just see your picture used sa broadsheet without permission, wouldn't you feel offended that someone else is taking credit for your own work? Ang hirap kasi sa maraming tao, putak lang ng putak. He may have a negative impression to most but hindi ibig sabihin non wala siyang karapatan maging sensible sometimes.

ReplyDeleteHe is right. I know a lot of professional photographers and they will definitely take offense if they aren't credited for a photo. It's called respect. It has also legal basis. Him not being a Pro photog does not change the fact that PhilStar violated basic journalism 101. Hindi porke't ayaw nyo sa tao, mag-iiba ang TAMA at MALI.

ReplyDeleteHe has the right to cry foul. It is HIS photo, and it is used for the philstar business.. the least philstar should do is ask permission. It is different when civilians share the photo, they don't earn anything from it. Here, it is business for philstar.
