pinoy designer are lazy designers. they can't innovate at all. it the truth. ang daming inspiration sa pinas like our traditional clothes from different region, bakit hindi kaya nila e-evolve yung mga damit na ganon.
imitation? where and what part? what i see are 4 different gowns. I design too, not gowns though, but Im an artist in general. It's demoting and a big no-no in our part to imitate other works, in this case, basing from what i am seeing, the gowns are not ersatz. The designer might have used some schemes as an "inspiration" but it is not imitation. I am a designer, I can spot differences... nakakatawa lang na yung mga taong walang alam sa designing ay sya pang may lakas ng loob na magcomment at mangutya about designs and fashion! =)

Pero sa mga kasabayan niya na kasing tagal na niya sa showbiz, naiwanan na talaga siya. Bea alonzo, angelica p. siya lang talaga yung walang solo movie walang primetime soap na siya ang bida. Panghapon lang ang beauty at pang support forever. So that does mean na she really lacks something.

Love love love AP's dress! Mukha siyang guest from hollywood. Aparrition talaga. Very ethereal ang dating. Shaina also i like her dress, pero super naman sa pag bare ng skin front and back. Sana either front or back but not both. Pero i love the modern sexy feel of the dress. Kristine on the other hand, looks like a cheap imitation of Zuhair's original creation. Ang pangit ng upper part.

Oa talaga ang dos. Star ball ng mga starlets nilang talents. Kung itinulong nalang sana sa mga mahihirap iyang mga nagmamahalang gown na pinaggagastusan sa walang kwentang occasion.
Wag kang OA. Hindi naman palagi kailangan tulungan mahihirap kasi madami sa kanila asa na lang sa tulong at di na nagsisikap umasenso. Sobrang konti lang talaga yung deserve na deserve ang tulong no!
Taxes ng mga empleyado mostly sa mga kurakot na pulitiko at sa mga project sa mahihirap lang napupunta kaya di umaasenso pilipinas. Bakit ba pinaprioritize mga mahihirap? Ang siste eh tayo palang mga working class ang sumusporta sa kanila. Tayo nagbabayad ng pabahay nila, pagkain nila, pagamot nila, lahat na tapos sila pa ang demanding. Tapos sila pa nagboboto ng pulpol na mga pulitiko. Oo hindi masamang tumulong pero minsan kasi sobra na rin sila. Unfair na. Wala ng kusa umasenso kasi alam nilang tutulungan sila.
Because Gwyneth is tall and thin she got away wearing a cape. But Angelica is the opposite, she looked swamped by her cape and her chest looked massive. Not the best dress for her.
Shaina's dress is way better than Rooney Mara's. The tailoring is gorgeous. It's understated yet classy. Simple yet elegant, it suits Shaina's personality.
While Zuhair Murad's model looked glamourous in her blue dress, Kristine Hermosa somehow looked old in hers maybe it's the braided hair style, this could have been better.
Imo, the dress worked for angelica. The slit added the right amount of sexiness to the dress without making it look malaswa and cheap. This is definitely one of her best look sa history ng star magic ball. Mas gusto ko to kesa sa ellie saab black dress niya last year.
in fairness kay rajo, 1st princess lang siya ngayon sa miss copycat world. ang ms. copycat world - star magic ay si ... vainia romoff! kung ako si angelica, di ko isusuot yan lalo kung alam ko na gayang gaya. nakakaloka, nakakahiya.
On the contrary, i think angelica looked really classy and expensive in her dress. One of the best looks of the night in my opinion. Angelica and shaina for me. Sleek and classy.
pero yung damit, kopya kaloka! classic siya like last year naka elie saab siya, marami pwede gawin. di mo kailangan mangopy para maging classic. actually di rin naman best dressed ang orig version na sinuot ni gwyneth by tom ford sa oscars. kung best dressed, for me maja by cary santiago. kristine hermosa, pero yun nga zuhair keme daw. though karamihan ng designs dito di pa nagmo move on sa "inspired" by givenchy couture ni riccardo tisci since 2010.
Shaina's gown is cheap looking. Bad fabric choice kaya mukhang lukot ang dating hence bad fit sa kanya.
Kristine Hermosa'a gown is a poor copycat. The top's design is so-so. The color of top & skirt do not blend well. Plus the waist is too high mukhang just below the boobies naguumpisa ang waist ni Kristine.
Angelica's gown is classy. For me, she's the best dressed. Natabunan ng gown ang 'not-so-classy' persona niya.

I'm sure if you ask the designers, they were inspired by the designs of their foreign counterparts. Either that, or na-mention yun ng celeb na yun yung peg nila. Ang hindi nila pwede i-claim eh - original yung gown nila kasi obviously, hinde.
Sometimes, it's the client themselves who want to wear a certain style or design. Since most of the couture dresses are not immediately available or could be very expensive if ordered online, they could just have requested the designer to copy a certain design. There's no crime in that.

They are knockoffs! Gwyneth looks good in her gown because she is tall and lean. Angelica looks like she is wearing too much fabric for her size. The slit is showing off a leg that doesn't look tone. The black shoes are jarring.
Nakakahiya naman sila. Hay nako. Nakakatawa ang mga tao na todo praise sa mga local designers na yan. Kung alam lang ng nakakarami na ginaya nila yan, ewan ko lang. NAKAKAHIYA.

Imitation at its finest! Regardless how creative our local talents are, they are still susceptible to look around for global trends but these are just too much in your face especially the overrated Rajo, who tries hard to become a household name in the local scene but fail to impress with his his so-called vision!
Imitation or not, I think they all nailed it. From the designer to the artists. Designers tend NOT to copy designs, sometimes, they have the same idea with other designers! Its saddens me though because we Filipinos are also the number detractors of our own race! If we will just learn to appreciate and be proud of the people in our country, I think we will be more known interntionally, in a positive way.
does anyone heard about "cheaper version?" it does exist in any part of the the world you know. in every little things manufactured, so quit degrading our own fellows.
