  7. haist another imitation. Si anne pansin ko gaya gaya. Lahat nalang ng sa abroad peg niya. Kala ko ba fashionista siya? Eh ang fashionista dapat unique and di nag peg peg lang!

  8. Hindi ko alam kung pano sila natatawag na high vlass designers when most of their designs have Kalokalikes from other international designers

  9. Imitation! LOL.

  10. Inspiration. Actually malayo nga eh. Baka nagkataon na magkamuka lang

    ReplyDelete
  11. Well, mas type ko yung kay Libiran :)

  12. Anne's dress actually reminds me more of the Emilio Pucci gown Gwyneth Palthrow wore sa 2011 Emmys.

  13. Inspiration lang naman siguro. Or baka di pa nga niya nakita tong kay Ms. nguyen e, malay ba natin diba. Tsaka sabi nga nila, it doesnt matter if you copy as long as you know how to make it your own. Kasi even foreign designers ginagawa ring inspiration yung mga gawang atin. :)

    1. Contradicting yourself te? How can you make something "your own" when you basically just "copied it from somebody else". It can never be "your own".

      Delete
    2. Anon 1:57am You obviously don't know the expression "make it your own". Kung sa pagluluto ng adobo, you put extra something on the original recipe, a twist that would warrant you saying this is my own take of an adobo dish, thus the expression "making it your own". Same goes in fashion, you see an inspiration, you put your own twist here and there, update it by putting your own stamp to the original style/design to make it your own. Now you learned something na maidagdag mo to your limited knowledge in the English language.

    3. Hehe thank you 8:36 for defending my opinion from people who are too literal.

      #sorrypatola :))))

  14. Ok lang, Basta mura.
Why should we designer prices for derivative work?

    3. Derivative... From the word derive..

  15. Inspiration lng nmn to cguro

  16. bakit lahat ng damit ni anne ngayon parang benta talaga ng katawan. yong slits niya super mga taas. i hope she's not starting a trend. she is beautiful even without being racy all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Inspiration. Hindi sobrang kopya. Binawasan ang taas dinagdagan ang skirt. Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Another imitation... gnawa lng sleeveless at dnagdagan ang slit at iginilid.

  19. sa fashion world, meron silang "rule" or etiqutte na finofollow. if the design has atleast 30% original ideas, orig na yan. inspiration nalang kung kahawig ng iba. well in this case, i still think this is imitation. wala pang 30% ang orig. sleeves lang!

    1. turn off na din ako kay francis libiran. seems like his works are nothing but rip offs. ang gwapo pa maman nya. overrated.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Actually, I've seen Anne's dress (or at least, sillhouttes like it) way way back in the mid-90s (grunge era). Fashion naman repeats itself, so I won't blame the designer.

In another point, there are just faint similarities between the two dresses, but I don't think Francis Libiran's is a direct copy.

    ReplyDelete
Boxy top na labas pusod and skirts with slit.

    ReplyDelete
  24. My Viewpoint on this is simple. Not an Imitation and not an inspiration. First, the two dresses are completely different from each other. From the cuts, sleeves, length. If you had watch the devil wears prada, there is a scene there where in Miranda told Andrea about the Blue. Its not just a Blue. There are so many kinds of Blue: Cerulean, Royal Turquoise, etc. So what do I mean? In the Fashion world simple thing as color makes the clothes different from each other. especially on this dress that is totally different. Porket ba same na crop top imitation na agad? Hello! So many Designers and Retail Brands have crop tops that are paired with pencil cut skirt or maxi skirt. and I am absolutely sure that designer Nini Nguyen didn't started this trend of crop top.

    ReplyDelete
  25. inspiration. or baka naman nauuso lang talaga yan. :)

    ReplyDelete
Di ba pwede their own unique trademark?

    ReplyDelete

  28. Kaya nagagalit si Ate Lope Navo eh ...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Inspiration! but I like Libiran's version plus carry ng nag-suot.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Inspiration, big difference in sihlouette

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  33. INSPIRATION! Francis Libiran is a great designer.

    ReplyDelete
  34. inspiration lol bias lang !! ganda ni anne sh*t lakas maka drop dead gorgeous.:P

    ReplyDelete
  35. If I haven't seen Francis Libiran's other creations, I would say inspiration. Kaso, Francis is not really known for very "original" designs.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Neither. Anyone could think of that design. I doubt Anne's designer ever saw the dress on the left.

  37. KOPYA na namn. Nakakhiya sa pinas.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Pinoy "designers" are hopeless.

    ReplyDelete
  39. i do not understand why people are making such a big deal out of similar designs. Sa dami b nman ng designer at dinadamitan sa mundo, hindi n imposibleng may magkahawig o magkatulad jan. sa details or cut or enhancement or color n lng cguro magkakaiba. at asahan n ntin n ang design noong una ay mauulit tlga.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Inspiration! The line looks straighter and more flattering. It also helped that Anne was the one wearing it. Classy!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Remember Anne Hathaway? She's supposed to wear Valentino for the Oscars but she switched to Prada bec Amanda Seyfried's dress (Alexander McQueen) is similar to her Valentino dress. So imitation din ba yun? What I'm saying is hindi malayo na magkapareho tayo ng ideas. And kaya nga nga tinawag na trend di ba?:)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Some can say inspiration... but if this particular artist has been copying dresses in several occasions. Imitation na ang tawag dun.

    ReplyDelete
  43. INSPIRATION. Hindi naman gayang gaya.
