A Public Relations lady (PR) of a publishing firm went to a Sunday noontime show for a video shoot of a popular teenage drama actress (DA) who was part of the publishing's Style Awards event. Time of shoot was decided on by DA and her handler (H), and PR complied.
At the agreed time and place, DA gave instructions to H to move the shoot after the noontime show. H then relayed the message to PR. Although disgusted, PR conceded and waited with her group. When the show finally ended, PR was so relieved, but not for long 'though. On the orders of DA, PR was informed by H that DA forgot about her rehearsal for a weekend variety show of a popular star. And it had to be the priority at that point vis a vis the video shoot. PR and her group were obviously annoyed upon hearing this. The long wait they had earlier had already consumed them all - literally and figuratively, and the thought that they would be again subjected to another round of time killing was just too much. For after all, it was DA who made them come for the early morning shoot, but they were too helpless to even complain. Finally, the much-delayed shoot took off at past seven in the evening.
It takes great sacrifice to keep one's work. But given the kind of people you are made to deal with everyday, it takes greater sacrifice and commitment to love it.

Pero give her a chance naman she's still so young and just getting used to all this attention. And hindi ba pagdating sa schedule dapat handler/s ang mas may alam at may say kung kelan? Baka nadidiin lang din siya masyado. I just hope the actress' party apoligized sa mga napaghintay.

I agree. Dapat yung handler ang may alam ng appointments niya, that's what they're paid to do. But I understand the PR group's reaction. Keeping an open mind.. Lalo na because I like this pretty girl's face.

ReplyDeleteSi Katerina Montenegro ng Walang Hanggan eto at hindi si Jackie ng Budoy. First of all, I guess its in the title itself..JustMove..well, Katerina did just move into her new home where she had a houseblessing. Also, if you guys remembered a couple of Sundays ago, both "Katerina & Mikay" were guests on Laida Malagtas' Sunday variety show, where they danced to song "Whip My Hair". So this must've been the rehearshal Katerina had forgotten about, but had to go to and was much more important than the video shoot for the (PR). This is what got the (PR) disappointed. Tsk tsk tsk! At 17, Katerina still has a lot to learn in the showbiz world!

ReplyDeleteit is usually the handler who manages the talent's sked. there are even times na walang alam ang talent about his or her sked. sinasabihan na lang siya ng handler niya.
ReplyDeleteit is possible that this handler overlooked the talent's sked at para hindi mapagalitan, she made it appear na ginusto ng talent ang change sa sked. she told the pr that da moved the sked.
Pagbigyan na natin. Ngayon pa lang pausbong ang career nya kaya di magkandaugaga sa sched. Eto namang handler nya. Mukhang ewan lang. Sayang ang binabayad sakanya! Walang hanggang silbi ang peg? Haha peace! ^_^

ReplyDeleteLet's not judge J, if ever she's the one in this BI, though I'm 95% that she's the one being referred to. Just like the others, I'm keeping an open mind. Nung nabasa ko kasi yung BI, I didn't see anything na masasabi na uma-attitude na siya. Parang mistake lang siguro yung nagawa niya kasi nakalimutan niya yung sched niya right? Dapat yung handler niya ang nakakaalam nun. Everyone makes mistakes. Let's not judge her. Anyone can overlook a schedule or a certain appointment. :) Hindi naman nakaka-insulto ang nagawa ni "J", unlike ng nagawa ng ibang celebrities lately. ;)

ReplyDeletethe handlers usually fix the artista's sked and inform them about it when fixed already. for someone like katerina who is still young and new in the business compared to others in her mother station, she doesn't have much of a say regarding her itinerary. the handler and her station are responsible for her projects and appearances, wala pang karapatan magdemand ang bata. for this booboo, maybe her handler should be replaced?
