Letter From a Reader: Still No Signal!

Dear Fashion PULIS,

I would like share my bad experience with this certain cable company. Last May, when I was at the mall, the sales people of this cable company convinced me to sign up with them. Upon completing the application for our rest house in Tagaytay, I immediately settled the installation fee.

A few days later, the crew came to my rest house in Tagaytay and asked for the installation payment from my dad who was there at that time. Since my dad did not know I already paid for it previously, he paid them again. Moving forward, when my parents went to the rest house the following weekend and noticed that the cable was still not working.

When my parents told me about this, I immediately called to company's Cavite office to check on the status. I was able to talk with a Miss EM and she advised me that I still have to submit some documents to complete the application. I took note of her instructions and and submitted the necessary requirements.

A week later when I was at the rest house, I was shocked that there was still NO SIGNAL. When I did a follow up, I was advised again to send the documents that I already submitted.

This has become so frustrating. We paid for the installation fee twice and we have repeatedly submitted the documents that they are asking from us. Every time I call them, they passed me around to different agents for the past 5 months and honestly none of them could help me solve this problem.

Thank you for posting my letter. More power to you.

Yours truly,
AJY

  2. As always, phone companies have bad bad service. What a way to do business!

  3. dalawa lang ang cable companies na alam ko sa tagaytay area. Yung ginagawa mo pag natutulog ka at yung malinaw*as advertised yung reception.

If we have the same cable Ill be glad to give you my contact persons number.

  7. I do not understand why this should be a blind item.

  8. the problem with that cable system is that the "signal" suffers from interference during rain or even a slight drizzle. so practically there are no signal days during the rainy season and worse, during typhoons when you badly need to get the news. there is also delayed transmission of audio, so the video and audio are almost always not synchronized. this is the downside of digital cable tv.

  12. Di ka nag reklamo na you paid them twice? I find this very weird....

    ReplyDelete
  13. and why should this be a blind item? if anyone wants to share something sa public regarding this kind of matter dapat pangalanan para kumalat so that the company will be aware of their sh**** service para ma improve nila and won't make the same mistakes, or better yet sumbong mo kay tulfo ng maayos yan problema nyo..

  14. Get a lawyer. File a lawsuit against them. That should teach them a lesson. You can even get back more than triple the amount you paid them.

  15. the "signal" provider that you just mentioned is the same company that gave us so much headache in our tagaytay highlands rest house. it took them 3 months to activate our cable service! haaay!

  27. my gosh... the owner should take a look at this.... he is not being smart about this problem....

    ReplyDelete
  28. I agree the problems with their remote control. I've read somewhere that it loses it's signal or something that why even if it lights, it doesn't function as it should be. We had our cable for more than a month now and had replaced the remote control for an additional amount. It's not covered by any warranty, because warranty is only for a month. It's probably intentional. :(

  29. naku mas kawawa ngayon yun letter sender more than half a year na sya nag aantay ng signal pati remote pala problema pa!!!!! hahahaha!!! :)

  30. oh my... they better shape up or ship out. its a moral sin to do that to your customers.

    ReplyDelete
  31. No SIGNAL? Well, I personally experienced how incompetent and imbecile they are. I sent them the requirements 4 times via fax but whenever I call to follow up, they would always say that they haven't received it yet. Their customer service would also give me different instructions each time I call them. The service was really, really bad. Until I decided not to continue the subscription anymore because I could already imagine the headache that they would give me once I am subscribed.

  41. isa pa to? bakit blind item ito, eh kung totoo naman yung complaint sabihin na ang brand name.

  42. no SIGNAL... yun na! :)

  43. The cable company has the monopoly of cable service in the Philippines so they really don't care if they give you bad service since you can't get cable anywhere else but from them. If you talk to their customer service, they don't give a damn on what you are saying. They do what they like anyway. That is my experience. Every time a new cable company pops up, they buy them out. There you go. We are trapped.
