So Lost without an Idiot Board

Two actress-models, AM1 and AM2, proved looks were not enough to captivate a select audience comprising of young and articulate boys. Obviously, AM1 and AM2 were chosen to be the hosts to excite the boys and make them have a memorable time in the event. Both AM1 and AM2 appear regularly as hosts in various television shows and play various roles in movies, and thus, expectations were high.
What is not known is if the organizers were aware of stories of the problems AM1 has in following the idiot board during her hosting stints. Lucky for her, the production continues to give her the opportunities to hone her skills. By contrast, AM2 seems to be a smoother host despite the accent that comes with her upbringing in a foreign land.
During the said event, the boys got bored with AM1 and AM2, and like typical high school students, they started to be noisy and irritated. Apparently, AM1 and AM2 got lost in their spiels, as they did not have the usual script and even gadgets to guide them. In terms of spontaneity, they failed to make the connection with the audience. Of course, it did not help that AM1 came from the rival school. Hence, the following year, the organizers deemed it was best to ask a new female sports figure (SF), who comes from the same school, to host the said annual event. SF was such a hit and the boys, this time, had a blast.

Google Removes Singapore Hate Blog Against Filipinos

Police said Thursday that they are investigating the anonymous “Blood Stained Singapore” blog, which suggested Singaporeans should refuse to be served by Filipinos in restaurants, or “accidentally” shove them in crowded places.
In a post titled “Filipino infestation in Singapore — 5 point guide to showing displeasure without breaking the law”, the blog also advised Singaporeans not to help Filipinos involved in traffic accidents.
The blog, which surfaced on Google’s Blogger platform in May, was no longer available by late Thursday.
A Google spokeswoman said she could not comment on individual cases but confirmed that the US web giant removes material from Blogger that violates its policy on hate speech.
The Filipino community in Singapore is estimated at more than 170,000, many of them professionals seen by some Singaporeans as rivals for jobs — a sharp change from a decade ago, when most Filipinos there worked as domestic helpers.
Singaporeans make up just over 60 percent of the 5.4 million population, with a low fertility rate forcing the government to rely heavily on guest workers.
The influx of foreign workers in general, many of them from China and India, has sparked a rise in anti-immigrant sentiment.
The blog had triggered indignation among Filipinos at home and abroad, with some calling for counter-measures against Singaporeans.
The Philippine embassy has urged Singaporean authorities to take action against the blogger.
Google’s decision to remove the blog drew mostly positive reactions from Singaporeans online, including the Cabinet minister in charge of approving foreign worker permits.
“Vile and vicious blogs like this do not reflect who we are as a people,” Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin said in a Facebook post.
But others questioned whether the move stymied freedom of speech in Singapore.
“Hooray for a democratic country which forcefully shuts the mouths of her citizens!” wrote Titus Lin on the Facebook page of national broadcaster Channel NewsAsia.

Let's Have More Play

Actually, SB and TS did not start off as close friends right away. In the first place, TS is not the kind who would just strike friendship with anyone. She wouldn't be called primadona for nothing. Ergo, people who see them are puzzled, wondering out loud why the two are suddenly chummy and inseparable. No one knew - until one thing led to another.
Days of taping for DS gave it away. Turned out, there was reason for such closeness: The ever elusive SB 'helps' TS sustain her energy (read: substance). For both stars, it was the one thing they have in common, the one thing that brings them together - and the one thing they can't live without.
Reliable information had it that TS and SB's taping days for DS have thus become their jamming sessions, too. The two don't seem to care for the world. They do it wherever, whenever they want thus affecting their performance in the process. Between the two, it is reportedly TS who is the heavier user, apparently. The way she speaks gives her away.
DS production has not been without any trouble since the show began - no thanks to TS and SB. Production people, especially the head man have to endure and keep up with the two stars who seem to be always floating on air. During breaks, the two allegedly smell of substance because apparently, they jam before every take right inside their tent.
The staff are always under instruction to tell TS and SB who are often alert/hyper that they need to calm down as their performance is so badly affected. Needless to say, TS is in bigger trouble. Observers wonder if there would be projects for her after DS. Her abuse has reportedly taken its toll on her physically and mentally - indicative of years of excessive dependence.
