Vhong Navarro's Lawyer to Roxanne Cabanero's Camp: 'Ano 'to Lokohan?'

Source: www.abs-cbnnews.com

The lawyer of actor Vhong Navarro lambasted the camp of Roxanne Cabanero for saying that there was no mention of an exact date of the alleged rape in Cabanero's complaint-affidavit.

In an interview with "Buzz ng Bayan" aired on Sunday, Atty. Alma Mallonga believes that the camp of Cabanero is now trying to adjust after new evidence came out.

The complaint-affidavit, which was signed by Cabanero and Assistant City Prosecutor Richard Parras, specified that the alleged rape happened on "April 24, 2010, 11-pm to 1:AM" in "Pasig City, near Astoria Hotel."

However, Cabanero's legal counsel, Atty. Virgilio Batalla earlier denied that his client's complaint-affidavit mentioned the date the alleged sexual assault took place.

This was Batalla's reaction to Vice Ganda's testimony that Navarro was among the guest performers at his concert held at Island Cove resort in Cavite, on April 24, 2010.

He said the alleged rape incident happened anytime from April 24 to 27 in 2010.

Mallonga said she doesn't buy Batalla's statement because she read and understood clearly everything in Cabanero's affidavit.

"Tingin ko, napako sila. May lumabas na mga ebidensya. Ngayon, nag-aadjust sila. Pero huwag mo sasabihin na 'yung reklamo nila, puwedeng anytime from April 24 to 27. Hindi 'yun totoo. Hindi kami bulag. Nabasa ko, hindi ako tanga, naintindihan ko ang nakalagay doon," she said.

Mallonga added that Cabanero seemed so sure of the date and time of the alleged rape incident when she came out to the media.

For the lawyer, the seemingly sudden change of statements just makes it clearer for her that Cabanero's camp is lying.

"Hindi ito biro. Nanumpa ka, napaka-espesifico mo sa oras, panahon at lugar. Ano 'to lokohan?" she said. "Lumabas ka sa media, nag-iiyak ka, siniraan mo si Vhong, tapos ngayon 'ay sorry, nakalimutan ko, hindi iba pala, mali ang nasabi ko,'"

Because of this, Navarro's camp is set to file libel and perjury raps against Cabanero.

'Give Roxanne the benefit of the doubt'

Meanwhile, asked about her expert opinion, lawyer Lorna Kapunan said that, as far as her understanding is concerned, an exact date of the alleged rape is mentioned on Cabanero's affidavit.

"The rape [based on the complaint] happened during the incident inside the car. In the afternoon of the same date e. Afternoon 'yun, ang date ay April 24. So afternoon, 'yung [message sa]cellphone saying allegedly ni Vhong Navarro na 'magkita tayo.' Tapos nagkita sila sa evening. So the same day—the same evening of the same date, April 24. Unless na sinasabi nila na it happened the next day. E hindi naman sinasabi dito," she said.

Kapunan also said that a traumatized rape victim would either forget the date of the day she was raped or remember it in exact details.

"Puwedeng two sides 'yan e. Kung totoong rape victim ka o traumatized 'di mo na maaalala. Except that the other side is, 'di mo makakalimutan 'yung araw na nirape ka, 'di puwedeng papaplit-palit ka na 'ay di pala ngayon, e another date,'" she said. "There are material dates that you cannot forget. For instance, the date you were raped is very material to you na di mo pwedeng sabihing ay nagkamali ako ng date."

However, Kapunan said the public should give Cabenero the benefit of the doubt because it is never easy to come out as a rape victim.

"In fairness to Roxanne and the people who claimed that they may have been allegedly raped, pagbigyan naman natin, napakahirap na lumabas na ikaw ay na-rape. Let us give them the benefit of the doubt," she said.

Outsmarting the Competition

When it comes to vanity and protecting her image, observers say that Competitive Actress CA is not to be outdone - because CA lives it.

More recently, there were insider reports pointing to CA being WISE and cunning towards a Sexy Actress SA whom she is often compared with. CA, according to the grapevine, deeply resents the comparison where she is often put at the losing end. Thus, she has devised a plan to stop it.

Uh oh, looks like people are right when they say that CA can outsmart anyone if she wants to, anytime.

CA has a regular show together with some network stars. Usually, she is paired with SA in production dance numbers. Each time after the show, CA would learn of people making harsh comparisons between them as to who had better moves, who danced better, etc. And often enough, CA would be disadvantaged.

Probably, pissed for a long time at those bad side comments, CA decided to put an end to it. Reportedly, she befriended one of the Head Choreographers HO, giving her monetary and material gifts so she (CA) would have better and more exposure in their dance number/s.

Allegedly, before every rehearsal schedule with SA, CA would already privately rehearse days in advance with HO where she would be briefed and practiced enough. As such, when the actual show rehearsal would take place, it would appear that CA was a fast learner and could pick up and execute dance moves better, quicker – and probably, much sexier than SA.

Hmmm, did CA fans see this coming? Is this the beginning of CA's clever revenge towards her numerous bashers? Search me.

Wally Bayola Explains How Sex Video Leaked

Source: www.entertainment.inquirer.net

If Wally Bayola did not sell his laptop to sexy dancer Yosh Rivera, his career could have gone smoothly.

Bayola made the admission in a recent interview with Bandera that in 2012, he sold his laptop to the woman he was with in the sex video that went viral, Eat Bulaga dancer Rivera, in September 2013.

Before the video made rounds on the Internet and before he temporarily left the noontime show where he was a mainstay, the comedian and a father of five said he transferred the video to his laptop.

And before handing the equipment to Rivera, the 41-year-old Bayola wiped out all the data to make sure the 6:14-minute video would not spread.

But Bayola said when Rivera brought her newly-acquired laptop to a service center in Quezon City for repair, the files were retrieved.

“Nasira ‘yun kaya pinagawa niya (Yosh). Pero bago napunta sa kanya lahat ng files du’n dinilete ko lahat. Lahat-lahat. E, kahit pala na-delete mo na ‘yung files nari-retrieve pa rin pala ang mga ‘yun,” he said during the 10th anniversary of Zirkoh Comedy Bar, where he works as a stand-up comedian.

Soon as the video spread, Bayola hurriedly sought the help of his friends working at National Bureau of Investigation.

The source of the video was traced by the NBI, but did not exactly state whether Rivera or someone from the service center had leaked the video.

Bandera said the service center had been closed since the NBI had sought its cooperation as part of the investigation on Bayola’s complaint.

After four months of staying away, Bayola finally appeared in Eat Bulaga, apologizing for the mess he got himself into.

In good terms with family

At the height of the convtroversy, Bayola revealed how close he was to killing himself with a gun.

“When I saw our sex video circulating in social media, I did not know what to do. I locked myself into my room. I wanted to shoot myself,” he admitted in Filipino.

Before he even thought of actually pulling the trigger, he called his fellow comedian and close friend, Jose Manalo, and others from Eat Bulaga.

“Sabi niya (Manalo), ‘Kaya mo ‘yan. Dumaan din ako sa matinding problema, nakaya ko. Kaya mo rin!” Bayola recalled.

Manalo then advised him to visit his 17-year-old daughter, who is battling a rare cancer in the eye, at the hospital and talk to her.

“When I got near to her, I was speechless. But she said, ‘Ikaw kasi Papa, eh.’ and then asked me to pray with her,” Bayola said.

The comedian’s daughter led Bayola and his wife to a prayer and held hands together.

“While we were praying, I was crying hard. That was the first time I cried really hard. But after that, it made me feel a lot better,” said Bayola.

Fly Tigerair Using Your Bancnet Debit Card

Owning a credit card has its perks, and one of them is the convenience of buying airline tickets online or through calling an airline hotline. The same perks are now availed of those who don’t have a credit card; just look for the Bancnet logo on your ATM card.

Are you a student traveller who hasn’t established a credit history yet, or a professional who would rather not pay extra for high transaction fees charged by using a credit card? What if you’re already at the counter and just realized you didn’t carry enough cash?

“Tigerair Philippines is always finding ways to make travel easier and more accessible for everyone. Thanks to a partnership with Bancnet, Tigerair now accepts debit cards as a mode of payment for when you buy your ticket. This additional payment solution grants all types of travellers the flexibility to conveniently and securely pay for Tigerair’s quality products and excellent, customer-friendly services,” says Olive Ramos, president and CEO of Tigerair.

“It is so simple and secured. All you need to do is purchase a Tigerair plane ticket using your debit card by providing the full debit card number and the three-digit security code written at the back of your card. Because of the Bancnet affiliation of your ATM debit card, you won't have to provide your security PIN,” ends Ramos.

The upside of using your Bancnet debit card is that you save more. Credit card payments come with high transaction fees, while using your debit card is for free. The sale will be processed as credit, even though the funds are pulled from your savings or checking account. In this way, Tigerair and Bancnet assure you are transacting through a payment gateway that is both a convenient and stable platform to collect and process local online payments securely and effectively.

Booking that flight is now made easier with Tigerair. Call our phone service at (02) 798 4488 between 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, or go to our website www.tigerair.com/ph.

Tigerair Philippines is the first commercial airline to fly direct between Kalibo and Singapore. The carrier also flies to local destinations such as Clark, Laoag, Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Tacloban, and Puerto Princesa, and international destinations such as Bangkok and Hong Kong.

For more information, log on to tigerair.com or visit any 7-11 convenience stores or Cebuana Lhullier outlets nationwide for bookings and payments
