Keeping and Ending a Good Company

The statement surely rings a bell for people in politics - but holds true as well in showbiz, too. Friendships are built on trust, and once that trust gets violated, broken friendship ensues. It's never easy, and at times impossible to restore a deeply scarred friendship. If at all, the relationship is cracked and will never be the same again.
In showbiz, we hear of friendships getting broken both for the flimsiest and the deepest of reasons - envy, jealousy, betrayal, among others. Over the years, as friends mature, sometimes, these shortcomings are forgotten, as thus, friendship is repaired and restored once more.
Long-time friends Popular Actress PA, Sexy Actress SA, Comely Actress CA, Cheerful Star CS , etc were really close buddies, even giving a name for Their Group TG. Each of them had gone through a lot in defense of their friendship with each other. Reportedly, whenever one of them was down, the others would stay by her side for comfort and support. The friendship among TG bloomed so strong that one's problems become everybody's, just like family.
However, no matter how strong the relationship is, there will always be misunderstanding, in this case, between PA and SA. The issue was so sensitive allegedly affecting a friend of PA outside of TG. It's been years and PA and SA although moving within the same circle, have yet to be friends again.
Incidentally, PA became friends with a Sensual Performer SP, which had the rest of TG getting uneasy. Allegedly, SP was someone they saw as unfit for TG, but the unyielding PA was so into SP, who she believed was best replacement for her ex bff, SA - but not for long. As fate would have it, after some happy years together, PA and SP's friendship soured so bad, resulting in a controversial falling out.
Meanwhile, as PA continues to enjoy her success and friendships with colleagues – who would have known that while she was sleeping, an alliance was slowly unfolding between her nemeses SP and SA? Fans can't help but suspect an SP/SA versus PA. Sounds unthinkable? Hmmm, nothing is impossible, so they say, but be armed. As the saying goes - keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

Just Can't Get Enough

The Actress Girlfriend AG of an actor is one such paranoid woman. AG's boyfriend, a Handsome Actor HA from showbiz royalty has had several girlfriends in and out of showbiz long before AG came into his consciousness. Even when HA assured AG of his undying love for her, it did not at all diminish AG's paranoia of his faithfulness, or lack of it.
It was reported that AG was constantly fearful everytime there was a new soap to be starred in by HA. She would always fuss over the littlest details/ background of any actress who would be paired with HA, including her past relationships, checking if it would show any link to her HA. Reportedly, AG's friends could only shake their heads when AG would tell them just how bothered she was everytime.
One day, AG was whining to her friend saying that she felt so bad that HA would have to be paired with Network Actress NA for their upcoming soap. The circumstances behind the pairing made it all the more difficult for AG to accept.
It was actually AG and HA who were earlier chosen to be paired in a different soap. NA being a bigger star, had the option to choose who she wanted to work with in her soap - rejected Top Actor TA of the network just because he happens to be the boyfriend of Her Nemesis HN. For some reason, NA also did not want to work with a Drama Actor DA. Thus, there was no choice at that point but to pull out HA from his soap with AG to be paired with NA.
Here's the catch: NA and HA had a past - the reason why AG's mind went haywire. Reportedly, AG could not trust HA enough because he already cheated on her once. Allegedly, AG was so annoyed and disturbed, kept ranting how unfair the system, why she had to kowtow to the wishes of the network "divas," saying she didn't deserve to be on the losing end and suffer just to make these divas happy.
No amount of assurance and comfort from her friends could assuage AG's feelings. She was quoted as saying, " How can I not be paranoid when he had a past with NA? He had done it before, HA will do it again, it's in his blood. In Psychology, cheaters will always be cheaters. I am very bothered, I don't want to work. "
AG further added, " I am no longer interested in our soap because HA is no longer there, more likely I will be given a so-so leading man. I really don't feel like doing the soap anymore. "
And the final catch, a bombshell: " So HA will be with his ex NA in their soap. How I wish I would be with Brad Pitt - or my EX, at least! "

John Lloyd Cruz's Inappropriate Behavior Triggered Anne Curtis' Outburst at Privé
Actress and top endorser, Anne Curtis was at Privé Luxury Club at The Fort, Taguig. She was there to throw a private bachelorette party for her non-showbiz friend. Anne reserved one of the two long tables at the club's VIP section that had its own bar and toilets. She didn't mind paying a premium to ensure her party's privacy.
Incidentally, At the other table were actors John Lloyd Cruz, Jake Cuenca, Phoemela Baranda and their friends, JR Isaac and Leah de Guzman, among others.
As the party progressed, Anne was getting irritated when some people, not from their table, kept crossing over, getting drinks and disturbing their privacy. John Lloyd who was drunk, also crossed over the cordoned private party and his inappropriate behavior was making Anne and her friends very uncomfortable.
Then Anne got up to go to the ladies' toilet. Unknown to her, John Lloyd and Jake Cuenca followed her. John Lloyd for some unknown started banging the door of the toilet non-stop, getting louder and louder making Anne so agitated.
The banging of the door continued until he heard that Anne was about to get out. When the furious Anne stepped out of the toilet, she saw JR Isaac and Leah de Guzman nearby. It was at this instance when the drunk Anne concluded that it was they who were banging the door, and without a word she slapped them both.
Shocked by the scene, John Lloyd who suddenly emerged from the men's toilet approached Anne to tell her that it was he who did the banging. Anne, who was mad as hell, shouted at him with all her might, "You are an addict! "
She saw the club owner, JM Rodriguez, turned to him and said, " You know, this is the worst place to have a party! "
Things happened so fast and before they knew it, they saw Anne being ushered away from the scene.
Eight days after it happened, the story began circulating so fast prompting Anne to issue an apology via a series of tweets on her twitter account, parts of which are :
“I choose to do this right away because I've always been an open book & I don't like to hide anything... For those who have read about the issue, yes, most of it is true. I admit to that & I have apologized to all parties included immediately,” she said.
“When I was told of my behavior AND the person who started all of this, due to this persons inappropriate behavior, apologized to me too… Just as I did. Which I accepted too. I choose not to go into detail because I'm not the type to ruin someone else's name,” she added.
In the second tweet, it is understood that the one who started the riot (supposedly JLC) also apologized to Anne.
To be fair to the Showtime host, she searched for the contact numbers of the people involved and sent apologetic text messages to all the victims of her drunken behavior.

Julia Baretto and Enrique Gil Paired in New Series

Contrary to earlier reports, Barretto will now be paired with Enrique Gil.
In a post on the micro-blogging site Twitter on Monday night, Dreamscape publicity head Eric John Salut confirmed the news, saying it’s time for Gil to share what he knows as an actor.
“Pay it forward ang showbiz. How Coco (Martin) helped Julia (Montes). How Julia helped Quen (Gil). And now, it's Quen's turn to help,” he said.
Salut also posted a picture of Gil during his first taping day for the series on Monday mornig.
Aside from Gil, singer-actor Sam Concepcion was also tapped to join the fantasy series.
“Happy that @sam_concepcion gets his biggest leading man break in #MiraBella. The guy has got so much talent,” Salut said.
Reportedly set to join ABS-CBN’s primetime block, “MiraBella” is directed by Erick Salud ("Aryana," "May Isang Pangarap") and Jerome Pobocan ("Mara Clara," "May Bukas Pa").
The series also stars Gloria Diaz, Mylene Dizon, Pokwang and John Lapus. No target airing date has been announced.

Not Liking Her
The recent project PP did alongside an industry Big Name BN had reportedly both of them almost clashing on some occasions making their fans clash, too, at some point in defense of their idols. Both PP and BN 'though denied the existence of animosity between them.
PP's management carefully handles and protects her making sure that her talent is fully maximized. Her big status, passion and dedication have landed PP some 'extreme' and challenging projects which she did with flying colors. But not all days are rosy, as they say.
In PP's recent event RE, it was reported that ticket sales were apparently not as encouraging as the previous one. It actually started very late because they were still hoping for more people to come.
Absent at the RE was BN who was not available for some reason. Reportedly, the producers could not care less because BN made a statement previously about her professional fee which did not sit well with them. BN allegedly demanded to be paid immediately after the earlier event since according to her, the fee was not that big after all.

Anne Curtis was reportedly involved in an embarrassing confrontation with John Lloyd Cruz where she slapped the actor and two others at a bar in The Fort, Taguig.
In an article published on entertainment site Pep.ph, JR Isaac, editor and publisher of Circuit Magazine, narrated to Pep editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon how the incident unfolded last November 23.
Describing it as a typical Friday night, Isaac said he was then hanging out with his friends Leah de Guzman, Charina Zarte, Nix Alano, Phoemela Barranda, Jake Cuenca, and Cruz at the Privé Luxury Club along with the bar's co-owner JM Rodriguez.
Isaac said Curtis was also at the place hosting a bachelorette party for a friend.
While waiting for his drink along with de Guzman near the bar, they heard someone shouting from behind.
“We heard a loud voice saying, 'Who's banging my door?' We didn't know who or where it was at first! Just loud, coming from behind us. When we turned around, we saw, stepping out of the toilet, Anne, very mad,” he said.
Isaac said Curtis then slapped him on the face, as well as de Guzman and Cruz. He even recounted Curtis calling Cruz an addict.
"This all happened so fast. Anne was making so much noise, shouting at JL: 'You are an addict!' Ang bilis, di ko na alam ang nangyayari. Basta wala akong narinig from JL, he behaved like a gentleman. Makikita mo talaga kung sino yung well-mannered pag may ganyan,” he said.
Isaac said Curtis then turned to Barranda. "Anne screamed, with finger pointing at Phoem the whole time, like she pointed it at JL. She had all this rage, she was agit.”
He added, "Anne screamed, with finger pointing at Phoem Barranda, saying, 'I can buy you, your friends, and this club!'”
Saying things happened so fast, Isaac recalled being ushered by the bouncers away from the drunk “It’s Showtime” host.
"The management and [club] PR all came to our table and apologized to us. They saw the whole thing. They know we were the ones slapped. In the end, we stayed. We didn't allow it to ruin our night,” he said.
Anne apologizes
On the afternoon of November 23, Isaac recalled receiving a text message from an apologetic Curtis.
The text message went: “"JR! It's Anne. Got your number from Monique! Tried messaging you on Facebook this morning. Just want to apologize for my behavior! I'm so so so sorry. I'm so ashamed. Would never act like that in the right state of mind! I'm so sorry. Please forgive me!"
To which, Isaac responded: "Hi Anne, just woke up and read your text. Apology accepted... On a lighter note, you owe me a tight hug!!! Going back to sleep, nursing my hang over."
According to Isaac, he harbors no ill feelings toward Curtis because he has known the actress since way back.
Meanwhile, Curtis took to micro-blogging site Twitter to address the controversy.
With over five million followers, Curtis said she “owe[s] all of you my honesty.”
“I choose to do this right away because I've always been an open book & I don't like to hide anything...
For those who have read about the issue, yes, most of it is true. I admit to that & I have apologized to all parties included immediately,” she said.
“When I was told of my behavior AND the person who started all of this, due to this persons inappropriate behavior, apologized to me too… Just as I did. Which I accepted too. I choose not to go into detail because I'm not the type to ruin someone else's name,” she added.
Noting what she has learned from the incident, Curtis said: “Now.. I had been on the super popular juice cleanse for 3 days & attended my best friends bachelorette [party] that night, had one too many drinks which led to some of these unfortunate events. That's why they say 'Drink in moderation'. I will charge it to experience & a lesson learned.”
The actress also apologized to her fans for what she has done.
“I'm sorry if I let any of my fans down.... As you all see, I'm just like any other person that makes mistakes in life,” she said.
Putting an end to the issue, Curtis said she will not speak of the matter anymore.
After Anne's Bar Incident, Juice Cleanse Takes Spotlight

In a series of Twitter posts on Sunday, Curtis explained that she “had been on the super popular juice cleanse for three days” and “had one too many drinks” that night.

The remark of actress KC Concepcion, however, gained the most attention among Internet users in the Philippines.
Concepcion, who is also on a juice cleanse, said in an Instagram post hours after Curtis’ bar mishap that this type of diet puts her on a “good mood.”
“Para sa akin, nakaka GOOD MOOD ang juice cleanse! Be happy, my sweet & beautiful followers,” she wrote as a caption of her Instagram photo, which shows a stuffed animal and a bottle of green juice.

Others used the opportunity to relate their experience about juice fasting.
“Being on a juice cleanse does put some people in a bad mood coz (sic) usually you are very limited with what you can eat. Sometimes you don’t even eat solid food so for some people, that alters their mood… So when you mix that even with a small amount of alcohol you will get drunk fast because pretty much your stomach is empty… I don’t know why @annecurtissmith drank while on a cleanse coz (sic) that pretty much defeats the cleanse’s purpose,” wrote Instagram user _charisma_.
“People who haven’t tried juice cleansing wouldn’t have any idea how good it feels like. The longest I did was 10 days with only juice, no solid food at all. If I would’ve liked it I could work 24/7 during those 10 days as you won’t feel tired at all and your energy is at its peak. No wonder your skin glows. Continue doing it on a regular basis and your body would be grateful to you. Add romaine lettuce as well, it’s a very good blood cleanser,” commented Instagram user subicquena.
Some fans, meanwhile, urged the public to stop linking Concepcion's statement to Curtis' controversy, noting that Sharon Cuneta's daughter has been talking about juice cleanses for weeks.
What is a juice cleanse?
A number of juice cleanse programs are offered in the Philippines, with Juju Cleanse and The Skinny Juicery among the more popular ones.
The program usually involves drinking at least six bottles of pure fruit and vegetable juice a day for three days.
Customers are strongly discouraged from eating solid food, drinking coffee, alcohol and energy drinks, and smoking cigarettes during the program for the juice cleanse to take effect.
Juice cleanses are said to help “give the body a break” by removing toxins and absorbing nutrients.
Those who cannot afford the pricey juice cleanse programs usually opt to create their own juices at home.
