The Dysfunctional Star

One day, this veteran actress was in extra high spirits when she welcomed an old female friend to her house. She positioned her face a foot away from the friend's face and started blabbering about this movie that she wants her to produce.

Puzzled by the actress' unusual behavior, this friend tried explaining to her that it has been years since her family got her as an endorser. In spite of this, the actress went on insisting that she will contact her lawyer in Canada immediately and ask him to fix the contract. While going through her cell phone, she began talking about her experiences when she was confined in the basement and this other actress whom she met there.

A few minutes later, she started giving a speech about the importance of security in every home. She then invited this friend to her bedroom and brought out a gun from the drawer to show her. The friend was so scared when she saw her holding the gun that she had to come up an excuse so that she could leave right away.

The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland. The steamy waters are part of a lava formation. The spa is located in a lava field in Grindavik on the Reykjanes Peninsula, southwestern Iceland.

The warm waters are rich in minerals like silica and sulphur and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is reputed to help some people suffering from skin diseases. The water temperature in the bathing and swimming area of the lagoon averages 37–39 °C (98–102 °F). Cheapipay (Cheapskate)

A cheapskate is a stingy person who tries to avoid paying a fair share of costs or expenses. In Filipino slang, we call this kind of person as "cheapipay".

I don't mean to toot my own horn but my friends can definitely attest to this. Whenever I am dining with them, as much as possible, I try to reach for the bill first when it arrives. If I were joining a group of people that I am not so familiar with for dinner, what I do is I  initiate to put in more money for what I have ordered to avoid the awkward computation. When it comes to footing the bill, I am proud to say that I am not "cheapipay" unlike this female celebrity in today's blind item.

This female celebrity prefers to hang out with friends (male or female) who automatically reaches for the bill when it arrives. She enjoys the company of generous people who do not worry about who ordered what, and who would gladly pay for her dinner and drinks. What is worse is that when the bill is delivered to the table, she does not even make a show of reaching into her designer purse.

Do you know who this female celebrity is? Open your eyes widely and I am sure you will find the answer.

Sightseeing in Vienna, Austria

This morning, we took the Vienna U-Bahn (underground railway) to the Schönbrunn Palace. The queue this morning was not as bad unlike seven years ago when I was here with my mom.

A Schnitzel is a traditional Austrian dish made with boneless meat thinned with a mallet and coated in breadcrumbs and fried (Wikipedia). We had Schnitzel for lunch in a restaurant in Kärntner Straße, the most famous shopping area in Vienna.

The Pink Panther?

Someone once told me that the formula for computing if a woman is a cougar or not is by dividing her age by two plus seven. Following the formula, a 50 year old woman is considered as a cougar if she is in love with a man who is 32 years old (50 divided by 2 plus 7) or younger.

If a cougar is an older woman who loves younger men and the rhino is an older man who loves younger women, what do we call an older man who loves younger men? Does anyone have a suggestion?

Well, due to the lack of a better term, let us just call him the television host. The male television host who is madly love with a man that is almost 50 years old younger than he.

In a recent event, a colleague in the industry spotted this male TV host kissing the screen of his mobile phone. When this colleague finally had a chance to take a peek at the host's mobile phone, he was shocked when he saw that the host's screen saver is the photo of a young actor who is not even twenty years old.

According to a source, this host is head over heels in love with this young actor. Most of the time, he would even take a cab to his shows because the young actor is using his car. He is also said to be the one taking care of the medical bills of the young actor's sick mother.

Do you know who this male television host is? How about the young actor? Due to the sensitivity of this story, I would like to request you to observe the guidelines in posting comments. No initials will be allowed! Also, since I am currently overseas, it will take me longer than usual to approve your comments.

A Day in Bratislava, Slovakia

Since we have seen Vienna before, we made a spur of the moment decision yesterday to take a train from Vienna's Sudbahnhof (South Train Station) to visit Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

Bratislava is just an hour train ride away from Vienna. A round trip train ticket costs 14 Euro. Not bad!

Look What Qatar Airways Did to My New Rimowa

I was devastated when my brand new Rimowa luggage arrived in Vienna with a giant dimple. I strongly discourage you from getting one. It is so not worth it!
