Lie of Convenience

A rumor is going on that a Controversial Actress (CA) needed to lie about the state of her relationship. In the past, her followers followed her relationships with much interest. Many rooted for the success of her love life. Many were heartbroken when her relationships ended. Fans sympathized with her predicament.

Then, one day, CA was spotted with a new man in public. Assuming, CA was in love again, the fans raved that finally she was again in love. After a few weeks, CA introduced Non-showbiz Dude (ND) as her latest significant other. The new couple seemed in love but they seemed to be coming from different interests. However, love was in the air.

A surprise awaited the followers who rooted for the couple. The end suddenly came. CA and ND parted ways as far as the public is concerned. Nonetheless, the grapevine questioned the announcement. Allegedly, ND was still tied to A Wife (AW). They have not even filed for an annulment or a divorce recognition. AW comes from a showbiz-connected family, by the way.

Did CA dodge a bullet and avoid being tagged as a mistress? Or did CA and ND pretend to have broken up to ditch possible labelling?
