When Generous Personality (GP) saw Young Celebrity (YC), he immediately wanted to know her. At that time, YC was between assignments and GP had connections. YC agreed to meet GP. GP said that if YC was having financial issues, he can change all that.

After a few months, YC secretly moved to a new pad and owned a new car. YC kept her social media quiet. However, her friends wondered why YC suddenly had luxuries despite the difficulty of getting work due to the pandemic. YC said that she tapped into her savings, and she lives simply anyway.

YC told GP that people were starting to notice her lifestyle change and wondered if he could help her out. YC said that she needed work to keep the appearance of her being able to fund her needs. Moreover, she said she wanted their connection a secret or else she won’t see him. GP promised to do what he could.

Later on, YC found herself busy and she realized GP kept his word. GP used his connections to boost support for YC. When producers found out that endorsements were interested in YC’s shows, they gave her the spot. So, with her projects, YC has ironed out any questions about her elevated way of living.

Choosing Love

Attractive Man (AM) got the attention of Young Female (YF). AM comes from a decent family and his manners impressed YF. When AM became friendly towards YF, she thought he was making initial moves towards courtship.

AM was likeable and YF’s family was fond of him. Soon, AM asked permission if he could see YF regularly. This move of asking permission endeared him more to YF and the family. However, restrictions were set, such as home visits and group dates only. Moreover, AM was told not to be too serious with YF. The positive effects of AM on YF quickly manifested. Her performance at school was inspired.

Not all good things last. AM’s visits started to lessen until he no longer dropped by. YF was clueless until they found out the reason. AM started seeing an old friend and they tried to see if they would click. AM chose and YF was relegated. YF hardly left her room as she was depressed, but her family opted to keep quiet. They did not want social media to have a field day on YF's disappointment.

Eventually, YF had a long talk with a family member to whom she confided her troubles. YF mentioned that she had slowly moved on already. Meanwhile, AM was called for his action and his reply was that he took the advice of not to take his relationship with YF too seriously. AM added that he wants a serious and committed relationship.

Constant communication has been acknowledged as a key factor in maintaining a relationship. Couples need to talk and share to each other their thoughts and feelings. With lock-in taping, communication is a constant among showbiz couples.

Some time ago, Network Actor (NA) had to leave his family for work. NA was in a big project and thus, he had to be in quarantine and stay for a few weeks in the location. Every night, NA and His Housemate (HH) communicated. The calls were consistent until NA noticed that HH was not as eager in calling him after a couple of weeks. NA was alarmed as something might be bothering HH.

NA subsequently found out from their home companion that something seemed amiss. Allegedly, HH would be picked up at night and she would come home late. At one point, the man supposedly came into their house. NA immediately confronted HH, who denied the story. HH said that there was no man and it was a female friend who came over to pick her up as they needed to talk about business. NA did not buy the story. If the point was about business, then meetings should not be done at night, NA responded in anger. NA then requested for his shooting assignments to be completed ahead so he can come home.

At home, NA confronted HH, who stuck to her story. A fight ensued. HH pleaded for them to fix whatever the problem was, but her pleas fell on deaf ears.

Strategy is as important as timing in showbiz. Even if a talent has the looks, skills, and fans, the plan to sustain a career is important. Although some talents were lucky to have a career based on timing, seasoned managers know that a fast rise can plateau and even drop immediately. Hence, a strategy must be carefully planned.

Much pressure is on the shoulder of Seasoned Celebrity (SC) to continue proving her reputation. While waiting for her assignment, SC and her team made sure she would be visible and talked about in good light. Despite things seeming to appear natural, rumors have it that a certain plan was in place. News and coverage about her were done strategically. Never has SC spoken or posted negatively against her detractors or issues hurled at her in social media. The public got tired of negative issues linked to her and time was ripe for her own show. Her subsequent actions resulted in positivity and overshadowed parallel showbiz news.

However, SC violated her stand on keeping certain matters privately, which puzzled the people involved. Apparently, SC was overwhelmed by her happiness that revelations were unraveled. Incidentally, SC’s camp allegedly expressed a last-minute verbal condition, that is, she refuses to be with a Particular Talent (PT). This condition implies that her management should not express interest in PT at all.

Solving the Puzzle

The production team had to step back and think about the reasons why their project is not doing as projected. Ample support was given, as the team had the best writers, production heads, and technical equipment available to them. Moreover, management was supportive of the project.

The high rating of the pre-programming was expected to make the viewers stay on, but they did not.

The failure of Top Star (TS) to bring in the desired performance was disappointing. During feedback time, comments, such as lack of chemistry between the leads, TS included, came up. Thus, the team had to think of a remedy before throwing the project into the trashcan. Someone came up with an idea that might just change the tide.

The idea was to introduce another twist in the narrative. However, more crucial than the twist itself is the actor who will play an important role. The choice of New Face (NF) has to bring curiosity and excitement. The team was unanimous in the choice of NF. The problem is that the team still has to gain NF’s consent or willingness to take on the role. The project can eventually test if TS and NF would be able to attract viewership.
