Smart Girls

As soon as word got out that potential clients would be gathering in an out of town resort, Talent Bookie (TB) realized she had to go to work to ensure a big chunk of earnings. With the holidays coming, TB wanted to have extra income and fun as well. However, she realized that she has a problem, as her team was depleted and the nature of their transactions has to be discrete.

Finding trustworthy candidates was not hard for TB, but convincing them to go along was harder to accept. TB had to choose the ones she thinks the rich clients would want. After all, her team is known to be a good service provider, and she had to keep up the reputation.

First on the list was Seasoned Talent (ST), who is taking it easy with her career. TB offered ST the job, but she was hesitant, as she was in a relationship. TB convinced her by saying that the opportunity is too big to ignore. The possibility of earning so much for a few hours is such a come on. ST accepted the offer and joined the team.

Second was New Recruit (NR), who has an innocent face. NR has worked hard to attain her status and endorsements started knocking at her door. NR was easy to convince, as TB informed her that a night could make her earn seven or more times the payment she received for an endorsement that required her to be present in most events of that product in various locations.

TB, ST, and NR proceeded to an event and watched a team play. TB identified the possible clients from where they sat. Security was tight when they reached the resort, but TB had no problem in talking her way to allow them to stay at the lobby. By chance, A Head (AH) was at the lobby and TB approached carefully. TB introduced herself and claimed that she and AH had already been introduced sometime ago. However, AH was too young then to remember TB.

Soon, ST and NR joined TB and AH. Introductions were made and AH offered to buy drinks for the ladies. After a few minutes, AH realized the goal of TB and her team. Thus, AH booked NR for the night and a relation took care of ST. After their transactions, the ladies went home happy with their fat pockets.

Repost: GMA Network Issues Statement on DOLE Decision on On-set Accident of Eddie Garcia

GMA Network has released a statement regarding the P890,000 fine meted by the Department of Labor and Employment as regards the death of veteran actor Eddie Garcia.

The network has received the copy of the order dated December 2, 2019 issued by the Regional Director of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) National Capital Regional Office.

In response, the network submitted an appeal with the Secretary of Labor within the allowed period seeking to annul and reverse the said Order.

GMA will proceed with the necessary steps as soon as the DOLE resolves its appeal. —NB, GMA News

Love is a powerful emotion that can indeed leave a lover blind to the faults of the other. However, one incident finally changed the mind and heart of Understanding Celebrity (UC) and she did what was unthinkable at the height of their relationship – dumping Her Lover (HL).

Long before she became famous, UC had a young girl’s crush on HL and admired him from afar. HL already had a name and reputation back then. By contrast, UC was trying to build her career.

Soon after, the universe conspired, as UC met HL, and they hit it off. This time, both had celebrity status and their relationship was becoming a goal for ordinary folks. They looked good together and UC was very much in love with HL. Her eyes sparkled when his name was mentioned and he was always with her in events.

Despite his name, HL’s career was not moving anywhere. Thinking that being with UC might lead to endorsements, nothing happened. Moreover, his career did not really take off, as the breaks did not come. Subsequently, he lost interest and devoted his time to be with UC.

UC, knowing that HL was not as financially secured during the time of their relationship, started to devise ways for him not to be embarrassed when they were together. It’s not that HL was poor, his family got tired of supporting him and said that it was time for him to work. Whenever the two would be overseas, UC did not want to be seen as the one who was always paying, and thus, she gave him a supplementary card. One time, as he used the supplementary card to pay for their dinner abroad, he was declined and that happened in front of UC. He maxed out his limit and UC had to pay for the night.

Nonetheless, their relationship was far from ideal, even if UC tried her best. Allegedly, HL could not contain his womanizing ways. Thus, finances and women were issues that rocked their relationship. Whenever they would break up, UC would find herself calling HL and a bout in bed forgave everything. The cycle continued until that incident.

As UC has her career to think about, she accepted job opportunities that required her to go to many places. Leaving HL, she had set rules and the major one was no drinking in their shared pad. He can drink in bars, but he’s not allowed to have any friend to have a sleepover at their place. UC is very keen on the neatness of their unit.

One time, UC called up HL and he said he was in the condo. The background was too noisy and UC had to find out. She called their helpers and they said that HL had friends over for a party. UC kept quiet and avoided confrontation with HL. Alas, one offense that she no longer forgave was when she found out that HL had a female companion spend the night in their unit. Worse, HL and that woman did it on UC’s bed. The mere idea that her boyfriend fooled around on her bed was too much, and soon, UC kicked out HL for good. Love could not do anything anymore.
