The cliché that nothing lasts forever just claimed another couple. Male Partner (MP) and Long-term Girlfriend (LG) ended their relationship just as when every fan thought they were going well. MP and LG have been a couple longer than most un/married partners in showbiz. MP is known for keeping relationships for years and suddenly ending them in a snap.
When MP revealed he was going steady with LG, many wished them the best in their relationship. People thought that MP finally found his match with LG, who knows the business but is not as heavily involved as him in its affairs. Their public posts reeked of happiness and contentment. Followers thought they would end up at the altar.
However, things were not as rosy in private. Although they have been together for years, MP is not ready to be in an exclusive relationship. For many times, LG could only lament his womanizing and flirting with women in and out of showbiz. Patience and maturity helped LG withstand the trials, but she could only go as far.
The last straw that finally made LG pack up and leave was MP’s alleged uncomfortable closeness with Voluptuous Woman (VW). Before she could accuse MP, LG gathered evidence from texts, calls, and video logs. As usual, the implication of such evidence was denied by MP when LG confronted him.
However, someone sent LG photos of VW with family members and MP. What puzzled LG was at that moment, MP was asking her if they could talk and patch up things. Yet, his family seemed to be welcoming of VW.
Finally, LG saw her chance to leave without drama when MP left for work and was on location for several days. As he was not home, LG took her things including a precious live gift from MP and left. While the wounds are still fresh and both parties are still highly emotional, tensions are still loud. However, only time could tell if MP will continue with his bachelor ways or find the woman who could truly make him settle down.
