Can’t Go Beyond Looks

If looks can kill, then perhaps it can, that is, kill a relationship. As things seem to be getting better between Male Artist (MA) and Female Celebrity (FC), apparently, such is not the same between MA and FC’s family. At first, they welcomed him, but as months passed, his welcome waned.

One cannot blame the family for losing the initial warmth they showed to MA. Time revealed that he has different perspectives that came in contrast with theirs. Although both are free-spirited, FC has a strong anchor in her clan. Her relatives can be such influential factors that her relationship with MA cannot escape.

Views on relationships are diverse, as MA has been evading the issue of permanently settling down. Perhaps, the time on such matter will come soon. However, FC’s family can bring on the pressure. Then, another issue that has been a bother to them is how MA looks. The family is unhappy with the look of MA, which is mostly unkempt. Thus, whenever, MA has to join a family gathering, FC’s relatives have to stand the way he presents himself. Even FC has joined in telling MA to fix himself, as he seems to be not the same person she fell in love with. However, MA cannot be persuaded even if such moments lead to arguments.

Typical of his known behavior, MA would rather avoid such queries. The best way to do that, is to stay away from family gatherings of FC, that is, if he gets an invitation. Rumors have it that the family has refused to invite MA to their gatherings, as he seems to refuse to conform to their lifestyle.
