Resolving the Problem

Whenever a celebrity moves to another network, changes in his/her new home are bound to happen. Of course, certain network talents would also make adjustments, especially if the transferee can do the job better. Thus, homegrown talents often feel a bit of challenge in addition to having to welcome the new arrival. If they are in the same field, chances are the new arrival might just have more exposure than them and they might have to rethink their career plans.

Such situation is a reality in any company. A new employee can create tension in the company if he/she has talents that present employees are capable of doing. Redundancy can be a ground to let go of employees in lieu of the more talented recruit. When New Transferee (NT) inked her signature on the dotted line, everyone was excited for her. NT’s arrival signaled a higher level of talent that the young ones often dream of emulating. NT sets the bar and this time, she has a plethora of young talents to work with and perhaps, train.

Meanwhile, the talents within the league of NT were confident of their status in the network and were as equally excited to work with NT, that is, until changes were announced. The Main Casualty (MC) of NT’s hiring allegedly walked out of a meeting upon hearing the plans of a show that has been her baby in the network. The years of hard work of MC for the show were discarded and she saw possibilities of her eventual fading out. Being a professional, MC kept quiet and did not rant in social media. However, stories of her becoming emotional in private were in the grapevine.

When NT heard about MC’s walkout, she felt bad, as she and MC have been friends over the years and they do have future shows in the planning stage. NT felt uncomfortable that her coming over has affected MC. Besides, the bashing of alleged fans of MC were non-stop on top of the below-the-belt comments that resulted from her career move. Consequently, the once docile NT in social media became a fierce and defensive responder.

Nonetheless, NT did the next best thing. She requested the production not to drop MC, but rather adjust her exposure. The exposure might be lesser than before, but MC should not be taken out. Moreover, NT went out of her way to talk to MC and assure her. MC was pacified and decided to be open to the show once again. Friendship prevailed and all is well.

Must Keep Composure

Recently, blind items have been coming out speculating on the minimal appearances of Promising Actress (PA). PA, who has been in the business for many years, has proven her worth and is destined to be among the competent and reliable talents of a management. However, PA’s career seems to have lost steam even if her fans are waiting for that next project to build her up again.

Well, the project has to wait if rumors are indeed true. Sometime ago, PA has been posting cryptic quotes that were deemed to pertain to the behavior of Rumored Boyfriend (RB) and Network Talent (NT). The post seemed to indicate an admission that something serious was happening between RB and PA for her to write something such as that statement. However, no confirmation of a relationship between RB and PA has been made.

As PA and RB are hardly seen in occasions together, the latest rumor comes as a shock. Someone (SO) from the camp of PA informed Influential Executive (IE) that PA will be going on an extended vacation because of an unscheduled pregnancy. IE was surprised and for verification purposes, had to ask who the father was. SO admitted that the father was none other than RB, who had yet to find out he was going to become a dad at that time. IE then told SO that the story of PA’s alleged pregnancy and RB’s involvement should not be leaked out, as both have projects in line.

Acting as a parent to all the network talents, IE had a heart-to-heart talk with PA and asked about her plans. PA said that she will have to travel and be with family. From that point onwards, she will think things over, as she’s having second thoughts if she will continue her nine-month journey. After a few weeks, IE started to worry and even people in the office started to look for signs. PA has hardly posted anything in social media except her closeup or longshot photos. She was not wearing lose clothing in any of her recent photos. Thus, no one can really tell her condition if her social media posts are considered. Nonetheless, IE feared the worse that PA might have done something drastic so as not to disrupt the career and image of RB.

PA, compared to NT, has been assumed to be less adventurous, but when she allegedly got wind of the closeness of NT and RB, she gave herself away. If NT is just with RB for the physical, no strings attached non-relationship, PA gave everything to RB and without a concrete plan, got herself in an interesting stage.
