Caught Between Mountains

Sometime ago, Generous Actress (GA) was elated when Former Colleague (FC) dropped by for a visit. GA has not seen FC for quite a while and thus, seeing her again was much welcomed. The two spent time talking and renewing their former camaraderie. As for GA, the gesture of FC meant much, as she believes that very few can be counted on as real friends in the business.
Several days later, GA received a call from FC, who sounded very upset. Given her helpful nature, GA spent time listening to FC air her issues. The bottom line was that FC needed a huge amount of money to cover up her rent, that has remained unpaid for several months. FC assured GA that she will pay her load as soon as the project she’s working on gives her talent fee. GA then sent the hefty amount to FC and even wrote a lengthy letter indicating that she was always willing to help and be there for FC.
GA in a casual conversation with a Network Manager (NM) shared the incident with FC. NM said that GA was not the only one from whom FC borrowed money. Allegedly, FC has approached a number of personalities to help out in her financial woes but due to lack of work opportunities, she has been unable to repay her loans. The heart of GA was touched and she thought of letting FC stay in one of her units in case she gets kicked out.
However, the mood of GA changed upon hearing the probable reasons why FC has money troubles. Although FC had a lucrative career, she was unable to save much of her earnings, as she has gotten deep in illegal substances and the casino. Adding to her troubles is that even her family no longer wants to support her. Nonetheless, people could not turn her down when she asks for financial assistance. Then, they would be too embarrassed to ask FC to pay them back because she is held in high esteem in the entertainment industry.
The dilemma besetting GA is that she does not know how to approach FC and tell her that she already knows about her problem. GA is very cautious because she is aware that FC’s contract has certain provisions on drug use and gambling. As soon as the network finds out, FC might lose the opportunity to work with the station forever.

Making a New Destiny

When Non-showbiz Celebrity (NC) and Former Media personality (FM) announced they were getting married, friends and fans were happy for the couple. At that time, both were successful in their fields and marriage seemed to the right move at that time. Years passed and their friends wondered why they still did not have a child. Meanwhile, most of their contemporaries, who were married almost at the same time they did, were already doting parents. NC and FM remained quiet at the issue but sometimes, they replied that a child will come at the right time.
That time never came. Close friends of NC were feeling bad because they knew that he was eager to have a son or daughter as he was not getting any younger. The next news was devastating to their families and followers. The couple separated and went on separate ways. NC continued his work, while FM took things in stride and slowly stayed away from the limelight.
As time passed, NC settled down again and started his family. When his new wife had a child, people were quick to assume that perhaps FM was unable to bear a child, which caused the breakdown of their marriage. In due time, FM proved them wrong. She finally found a partner who acknowledged her past and gave her a future. Once in a while, FM posted photos of her pregnant body. Her followers were excited for the coming child and that she has found her man.
While everything seemed fine, FM’s followers were surprised that she had been posting cryptic posts in her social media account. Netizens assumed that FM was going on her own again and her relationship had broken down. However, this time, FM would no longer be alone in her journey, as she now has a beautiful child to raise.
