No Luck

In a party, guests often make a statement by coming first or last. The first person to arrive gets all the attention as everyone is excited to see who’s the early bird. Besides, being first can create an impression as well. Certain celebrities like to be the first to make an impact and set the bar high. Similarly, the last person gets the attention because paparazzi are excited to go home. Moreover, the last ones can get media mileage as they can be interviewed without pressure coming from later guests.
When this couple attended an event, they were at the venue quite early to make sure they would be relaxed as they prepared. After a few hours, they were ready and were told that they could go down and walk the red carpet. Female Celebrity (FC) said they preferred to be the last to arrive. At that time, the live coverage was already ongoing and celebrities would be stopped for a few minutes for lightning interviews and quick snaps.
So, the couple and the team monitored the arrival and did not realized that hours were passing. As they made their way to the event, power couples and single celebrities arrived. They all left statements with their outfits. Finally, FC and Male Partner (MP) had their moment. Their outfits were eye-catching, but the guests who arrived ahead of them were still in the minds of the onlookers. Hence, the plan to have sort of the last say did not happen. Worse, their arrival was no longer covered by the live telecast, which ended an hour before they walked on the red carpet. These circumstances and the lack of coordination frustrated FC. Such feeling of a failed plan affected her disposition during the event.
After the event, co-workers from a show they used to be part of invited the couple to an after-party. Known partygoers, the hosts were confident the couple would not let them down. MP gave an affirmative response, but FC said she would rather go home as she was not feeling well. Obviously, FC was still distressed by her failure to shine on cam earlier. Thus, the couple went home and missed the more interesting happenings at the after-party.

So Agitated

Throughout an event, Outspoken Celebrity (OC) kept her poise and became deaf to hearing comments Feisty Actress (FA) kept saying. FA has, perhaps, the right to mouth off insinuations within the hearing of OC given that she was suddenly thrown into the limelight as a result of OC’s non-stop talking. Moreover, their story suddenly gave a spin to a project in which FA had no plans of being involved.
On hindsight, FA could not figure out why OC had to unearth a story during their teens when she emerged as the winner in the affection for Teen Heartthrob (TH) then. As that event was over and done with, the story was dead for FA. However, OC spilled the beans in public and soon, FA had to deal with the comments in social media.
The tirade of FA started as she unexpectedly arrived almost at the same time as OC and TH. OC attempted to greet FA, who pretended she did not see anything. A few minutes later, as guests were supposed to be seen by the public, the three caught up with each other. OC smiled at FA but she opted to stare at her mobile and avoid any close encounter with the couple. The atmosphere was getting tense.
FA even confided to Important Personality (IP) as to why her name had to be dragged into the project of OC and TH. IP knows that when OC opens her mouth, she can be very candid and witty. No one can really predict what OC will say next. However, FA was offended with a revelation that was already resolved eons ago.
As the night passed, OC kept her cool and let FA be. No one wanted to create more tension during one of the most awaited events of the year. Nonetheless, OC might suddenly decide to say something later on in retaliation to the statements of FA.

Regine Velasquez-Alcasid to Become 'Kapamilya'

After months of speculations, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid will be the latest highly coveted Kapuso celebrity to join the Kapamilya network. Velasquez will be working in several shows, such as The Voice, where she might join Sharon Cuneta and Bamboo. Velasquez will be more visible in ABS-CBN by January 2019, according to sources.
The latest two-year contract of Velasquez with GMA 7 expired in September and the network has not released any comment on her contract renewal prior to the expiration. Thus, the silence fueled the rumor that the move will push through. Moreover, Velasquez surprised the public with her appearance at the ABS-CBN Ball and following the social media accounts of Kapamilya personalities.
Velasquez has worked with GMA 7 for around two decades, appearing in shows, such as The Clash, Sarap Diva, Poor Senorita, Pinoy Pop Superstar, Diva, Ako si Kim Sam Soon, Party Pilipinas, among others.
Once she returns to ABS-CBN, Velasquez will be joining former GMA artists who made the move earlier, such as husband Ogie Alcasid, Jaya, Janno Gibbs, Richard Gutierrez, Sarah Lahbati, Elmo Magalona, Enzo Pineda, Ryza Cenon, and Angel Locsin.
